Pyrex Rectangular Dish with Lid 2.6L

I needed after many years use some new lids for my pyrex dishes. I saw some advertised from China and other sites. I was pleased to see that Pyrex actually did replacement lids. So I ordered six, ordering e=was easy delivery was good and the service and quality are excellent.

Had one of these for years from a recently closed dept store chain. Not been able to find one since. I use it to line the microwave so if something spills over during cooking, you only have to wash this tray and not the bottom of the microwave. No scrubbing needed. Just pop this tray in warm soapy water for a while or the dishwasher or both. Yes, it is heavy and can be easily dropped when soapy. Just take care. Brilliant product and very good value when on special offer.

Purchased initially when on offer to try out and am so pleased I did. I agree if you have something with lots of juices that this isnt going to work, but this is afterall a baking tray, not a roasting dish. Personally, Ive used to oven cook various meats, vegetables, pastries etc and Ive found it great no different than any other baking tray though. What I love about this though is how easy it is to clean. If something is caked on, I soak it for a bit in some salty water, wash and it looks brand new. The same cannot be said for the usual metal baking trays that always discolour go grotty quite quickly regardless of how much I spend these glass trays are a fraction of the cost of ones I have previouslt bought that have not worn well.

Ordered replacement lids for my glass containers which are over 10 years old as the old plastic lids had cracked. New lids fit perfectly and were here within 3 days of ordering. No stress. Really happy as can keep using my containers and they had not been artificially made obsolete due to lack of spares.

Brilliant convenient must-have dishes!

These pyrex dishes with their lids are one of the best go-to things in my kitchen! The fact that you can bake a meal in the oven, cool down, put on the lid to put straight in the freezer, take out to defrost and then put back in the oven to heat and eat saves sooo much transferring from cookware to freezable container to cookware again etc ... they are so convenient! I have lots of them in different sizes and I keep buying more because when I take bakes etc in them to family gatherings, they love them so much that I end up leaving them there for them and come home to buy more for me! I made this mistake the first time I used one and the middle of the long side of the lid split, my fault because I peeled the lid back from one end too quickly, but opening all four corners first works perfectly. These really are brilliant and I love them and if you buy them then you really won't be disappointed.

I love these

Easy to use and clean.The snap action and sound when closing the lid is reassuring.Great for marinating meat in the fridge overnight before using the same dish in the oven, and also for serving.Can safely transport curries etc without fear of spillages in the car.

Impressed.

The dishes are functional, but what really sets them aside are the lids. If you only use half the contents, the lid can be fitted and the dish can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days. Very useful. The whole thing can also be stored in the freezer.

Now my go-to dish!

I love these, especially since they stack well – both with their lids off when not in use, or with the lids on in the fridge/freezer. I keep getting more in the smallest size as they're perfect for a meal for one, two portions of sauce, batch cooking, leftovers, lasagne... I much prefer them to storing plastic boxes in the freezer, they look great on the table, and can go in the oven/microwave/dishwasher. The lid's super convenient and fits well, though it may be better to hand wash it. Living alone, I've ended up not using the larger dishes so much, as these smaller ones save washing up and allow me to not have to eat the same thing day after day!

The picture is somewhat misleading. This is not a small casserole dish unless its for a fairy. This a dish where you would save a breast of chicken or maybe a few leftovers! Pyrex is a great make i have some myself from long ago-great product but not a small casserole dish.
