I got this because I had upgraded everything else in my network to 2.5Gbe. Added a cheap M.2 drive as Read cache, pushed my four 8TB NAS drives in, and as the compatibility chart at Qnap said, they just *worked*. Almost no downtime changing NAS boxes. Also went from Annapurna Labs processor to Intel, and that didn't bother the operating system. The performance maxed out my 2.5Gbe, the read cache took a little pressure off the drives, and going to 8GB of RAM didn't hurt.Qnap and Synology trade blows for being the best. Qnap just happen to be my favourite of the 2 best. One month of use. Cannot think of any negatives. Small and efficient with some upgradeability (M.2s, RAM slots, 1 PCIe slot).
