I bought two pairs of the earplugs that block the most decibles for Christmas presents. One pair went to a cousin suffering from PTSD steming from a car accident a year ago. It's left her with a sensitivity to bright lights and sudden noises, which makes her job as a choreographer and show-runner fairly difficult at times...more so, since the accident made it where she'll never dance again. While I can't do anything about the lights, I got her the earplugs in hopes that it might give her some peace. She absolutely loved them. And I fully plan on getting her another pair that will dampen the noise but still allow her to work and talk to others if necessary. The second pair went to a younger cousin of mine with autism who also has noise sensitivity. I got them same earplugs for her because she has the tendancy to leave her noise-canceling headphones at home and she can't wear her glasses with those so she's stopped wearing them altogether. I figured these would be eaisier for her to remember since they come with a keychain case, and she's getting to that age where she might not wan't to draw unwanted attention to herself in public--which the headphone would do--plus the earplugs would allow her to sleep more soundly and she would no longer have an excuse not to wear her glasses. She was a little confused when she first got them, but when I explained what they were and how they worked she was really excited. All in all, it was a very good Christmas and a purchase that was more than worth it, and one that will be followed by many more in the future. I have a sister-in-law who suffers from migraines with two very loud energetic little boys, and while she's a wonderful mother and their empathy is amazingly developed for their age...she'd still benefit from a pair of the earplugs suggested for parenting and public venues so you can still have a conversation. So, I will surly be back.

I bought a few sets of these (and other models) as Christmas gifts. So far, neither I nor my friends/family who received them, have had anything positive to say.At the heart of it they're expensive and don't come anywhere near achieving the noise reduction they claim. Their design features and materials are very similar to earbud headphones. If you take a set of well fitting earbud headphones, turn them off, and put them in your ear, you'll achieve a similar level of noise reduction as these. Despite trying the different sizes over a few different nights of sleep, they've never come close to reducing the noise in any significant way. Given how expensive they are, for what they are, I expected them to at least be close to their claimed performance. For the same price you can get a bucket of foam earplugs meant for construction sites and not hear a peep while you sleep. They're also pretty uncomfortable, especially when compared to foam earplugs. The little loops never sit in the ear quite right, and after a couple hours, start to hurt. I hate to sound like a shill for foam earplugs, but I'm starting to think humans already mastered earplug technology, and it doesn't involve $20+ pieces of stylish rubber.Having said all that, lots of people claim to enjoy them, so maybe my friends/family and I are wrong. However, if you want a good nights sleep, you can count on $0.25 foam ear plugs to out perform these, by a mile. To me, these are a fashion accessory.

(I am a stomach sleeper so my head is resting on the left and right throughout the night.)Next I tried the foam tips. I felt like these might stay in place more, but the small was too small, the large too large, and the medium just didn't fit the way I hoped, it still felt too loose even when inserted correctly. I also had some concern that the foam tips come off easier so I worry about them becoming stuck in my ear canal if not removed suuuper slowly with the gentle twist.Overall, I wanted to love these... and I'll keep trying to make them work because I want them to work. I think if you live in a noisy environment and need to focus, or if you want to sleep on a train or airplane, these would work GREAT.

Life changing!
13 April 2023

I bought a pair of these for my 9 year old daughter with severe sensory issues and nonverbal autism. Before Loop we were using a pair of large earmuffs over her ears any time we had to go out in public. They didn't help much. Going past the shopping cart section at a grocery store would still cause her to slam her hands over her ears and start to melt down. Babies crying in the store would upset her, announcements over the intercom scares her, workers wheeling large garbage bins were nope, never rolling the windows down in the car in case a motorcycle or semi truck went by, not able to walk on the sidewalk because passing vehicles were too loud, haven't eaten inside a restaurant since she was carseat age because too noisy, terrified of dogs because of their barking. ... MoreI bought a pair of these for my 9 year old daughter with severe sensory issues and nonverbal autism. If it makes a sound she doesn't like it. I'm a single mom. I can't just leave her with a caregiver while I handle "life" so trying to navigate all this on a daily basis was stifling. Since she has been using her Loops omg, we can go on walks even if vehicles are driving by, we can take our time in a grocery store or go shopping at places I've never even been able to take her to before because if it wasn't a necessity I didn't have it in me to add it to my stress levels. We can roll the windows down in the car and enjoy the breeze, motorcycles still make her reach up to her ears even with the Loops in but they are bearable to her now. We even went and ate inside a restaurant the other day! It was basically her first time ever doing that and I cried about it I was so happy. We had a get together with friends for Easter and normally being around multiple children at the same time would be too much for her to handle. Not with her Loops! These have literally been life changing for her and therefore me also. So many places we haven't been able to go to and so many things we haven't been able to do for so long I literally haven't felt like a part of society. Things actually feel possible again. She doesn't talk or communicate so she can't personally tell me how well they are at blocking out the noises and things but I can tell a huge, major difference. She smiles more when we are out. She seems like an almost different kid. She's getting to be herself without all the noise sending her into overload all the time. We use the xs size and they seem to fit very well. Life long customers here, I can't even thoroughly explain how amazing these have been for us.

Love them; a bit hard to hear alarm; bye-bye snoring; over all SO worth it.
10 February 2023

I recently moved closer to downtown and the city noise is much louder in my new place. There is also an upstairs neighbor I can sometimes hear snoring through the ceiling due to my sensitive ears. He's not even that loud - honest, but once I hear one snore, I can't stop hearing it and therefore can't sleep the rest of the night. It was a miserable situation until I got my loops. I used to use the standard orange ear plugs, which can fall out if you toss and turn at night like me and don't actually block that much sound. With these new loops, I get a legitimately quiet night's sleep and no longer hear the neighbor. On occasion I will still hear a suped up car speed by or an ambulance siren, but those noises are so muted now that they barely register. As a complete bonus, the ringing in my ears that I have recently started experiencing more of has subsided a bit. I bought these loops for my brother's girlfriend a year or two ago and knowing how well these work, should have bought myself a pair at the same time. The ONLY caveat: I have a hard time hearing my alarm clock sound in the mornings, and it is a VERY loud alarm. I keep the clock across the room so I'm forced to get out of bed to turn it off, but sometimes it will sound for a good couple of minutes before I realize it's time to wake up. I still think these are well worth the money but be forewarned!

Oh... this is what silence is like..

Okay these might be my new favorite thing. The fact that they just cut the volume of my environment by more than half is just amazing. I get so overstimulated by too much noise and it's absolutely draining. Even in my own home I get overwhelmed and overstimulated. These Quiet Loops are a game changer. I can still hear most of what's going on, and could still hear enough that I could react if there was an emergency, but it turns the volume way down and really, really helps to alleviate the tension from being overstimulated. I have also tried sleeping with them, however the silicone tips get a bit uncomfortable after so a while so I end up taking them out before I fall asleep. So I'm hoping those will allow me to sleep with them more comfortably.I also bought a pair for my 10 year old daughter who struggles with overstimulation as well (I'm sorry you got it from me child), and she also has fallen in love with them. I have yet to take them out into social and public situations with me but they will be taken to a concert in a couple of days so we'll see how well they work then. But so far, I'm honestly very pleased with them. I'm looking forward to using them on future travels as well (I have a looong flight overseas in a couple of months so these will be a true blessing for that).

Painful to sleep in one night, not to mention too; didn't block enough sound to sleep.
7 May 2023

I really wanted to love these but am honestly disappointed in the performance. I got the Quiet loops to sleep with because I wake very easily to the slightest of sounds, but I sleep on my side so anything bulky creates its own troubles. Firstly, I'm not able to wear these flat against my ear, the loop is always sticking out at a bit of an angle. I saw a representative say that might mean the ear canal is crooked, and thankfully it doesn't mean that moving around on my pillow knocks the loop out or anything. I could look past that.MAIN PROBLEM--painful. I was using the XS tips and honestly could probably use XXS. They're totally fine when you first put them in, but the purpose of these Quiet ones is to be slept in, and after 5 hours I woke up with my ears absolutely ... MoreI really wanted to love these but am honestly disappointed in the performance. I could look past that.MAIN PROBLEM--painful. I was using the XS tips and honestly could probably use XXS. They're totally fine when you first put them in, but the purpose of these Quiet ones is to be slept in, and after 5 hours I woke up with my ears absolutely aching. Took them out and kept sleeping, which was a real shame because early morning is when I have the most disruptions and wanted the loops to work most. I put them back in the next night to give another try, and again woke up around 4 am with my ears super tender. My ear canals were actually sore for the next two days, even without wearing them anymore, so if I can't use them for even a single night, nonetheless consecutively...they really don't fulfill the purpose.SECONDARY PROBLEM--I can still hear quite a bit? They're not noise-cancellers and I understand that, but I was able to still hear my husband breathing in the bed next to me. I could hear the AC kick on. The house creaking in the wind. In general there was a definite stillness and quiet when wearing them and during the day when I tested them out I was SO excited to have a solution to help me sleep, but in those two nights I actually wore them I would say they only halfway helped. Just disappointing.I also brought them with a few days later (after my tenderness finally eased up) to a coffee shop and wore them to help with all that noise, and it was definitely nice to be able to wear them for a couple hours and cut through the chaos. I probably had about 50% of my hearing there as well.As a whole, I would say these work just fine for short periods of time when you want to cut down on a lot of sound, but I don't think they work well at all for actually sleeping in--and definitely not for sleeping in every consecutive night. Honestly deliberated sending them back but if I need something for a few hours, or maybe laying down for a nap, I might want them, so...I'll just keep them. The price of these was definitely affordable so I'm not dying for a refund.

I’m rewriting a review for my Quiet Loop earplugs after several month having them in the bedside drawer. I had thrown in the towel on utilizing earplugs to improve my sleep after the first week using these. They weren’t comfortable and the noise reduction wasn’t enough. After some time, I got used to the feeling of them in my ears to the point of not remembering they are there. That is the biggest reason I wanted to spread the 5 star rating. It blocks enough noise for me to drop into sleep within minutes while knowing I’ll still hear my babies cry if they need me through the night. And my husband gets better sleep because I’m not hitting him constantly to roll over. Poor sleep is a multilayered issue was the lesson and the loop earplugs were the bookends to my journey to better sleep. Thank you!

They are okay for what they are.

Packaging is simple and after tearing off the misaligned seal on the box, when i pulled out the inner container it was already ripped. Not sure if they repackaged a return and they reapplied a new crooked safety seal, but not impressed that the inside packaging was damaged. The method described to insert the ear plugs is just wrong and doesn't work. Not sure what kind of ears you need to press and twist as they say, but i just simply align the plug to my ear canal and a light press is all i need to get it inside. It is decent for what they are i guess, but i expected more given the so called hype.People complain about the case flying open but people don’t understand how to open it i guess. A little squeeze on the sizes pops it open nice and easy, and not to the point of them flying out as some have said. The case could have been designed a little bigger i guess, but i think its ok.The colour and the look are nothing to write home about. Its just a colour and i care more about function than form. The loop part is nice because it gives you something to use to pull out of your ear, as well as push into your ear.Overall, they aren’t as quiet as i thought they would be, and is disappointing in a way. Disposable foam plugs are way more quiet, and i have gone back to them more than i have used these. Maybe the other designs are better for their purposes, but when something is branded quiet, i expect it to live up to that.

Way Better than I'd even Imagined
8 August 2023

The snoring one (not me) has kept me awake more and more and desperate, I tried a pillow over my head (it never stayed in place), other bluetooth sleep buds that were mighty spendy and uncomfortable and/or cut out many many times during the night. And my favorite, music in the buds that paused between songs, waking me up. Every. Time. I tried foam plugs (ouch) and other silicon plugs (very much ouch) and finally broke down and bought these. At first they were in the uncomfortable once again territory, but not enough to make me break up with them. I ended up using the xsmall which really was a surprise because I am very tall and not a small person but I guess my ears are. Who knew?! That made them almost instantly comfortable so the right size is important. I ended up using the xsmall which really was a surprise because I am very tall and not a small person but I guess my ears are. Who knew?! That made them almost instantly comfortable so the right size is important. Next I added the mute which really accentuated the quiet. After a few weeks they fit even better, especially if I managed to get them into the correct ear - cause once they break in they fit perfectly but each ear is slightly different so matching them is important (for me). I'm almost gonna go for two sets of quiet in different colors to make that work better. The snoring continues but with these, it's so far removed it makes it not even a slight issue to my very special snowflake noise detector. I am still getting used to the stillness in my head when the earplugs are in- it's kind of like wearing a giant noise cancelling head set but these are tiny tiny little noise cancelers. In fact, they would probably say they don't noise-cancel but I am here (hear?) to tell you they almost do that with the mute attached to them. Sure, I can hear some stuff and they do move around a bit as I fidget in my sleep but they still manage to keep the annoying noises far, far away. Anyway, I will keep these stocked and I am here to say thank you to whomever imagined these into a product. I am one of the pickiest noise people on the planet (or so it feels) and these little loops are the best thing to come into my life to achieve a decent night's sleep. So much appreciated. Thank you.
