I lost one of them at school I work at because the container that keeps them in needs improvement because the clasp that holds the case closed breaks way too easily or when has small interactions with even other loop pod cases it opens. The loop pod case needs to have a clasp thats more strong and sturdy so the plugs themselves don't fall out from a plastic clasp. This is the reason why my last 2 pair got lost. I assume most people buying this product are responsible and keeps up but the clasp mechanism. The mechanism that holds the actual case CLOSED is weak and needs like a neodymium magnet or something to keep it closed. The insertion of a molded holder for the plugs is some level of improvement because it made it less likely to fall out but they still fall out ... MoreI lost one of them at school I work at because the container that keeps them in needs improvement because the clasp that holds the case closed breaks way too easily or when has small interactions with even other loop pod cases it opens. I bought two pairs of the earplugs that block the most decibles for Christmas presents. One pair went to a cousin suffering from PTSD steming from a car accident a year ago. It's left her with a sensitivity to bright lights and sudden noises, which makes her job as a choreographer and show-runner fairly difficult at times...more so, since the accident made it where she'll never dance again. While I can't do anything about the lights, I got her the earplugs in hopes that it might give her some peace. She absolutely loved them. And I fully plan on getting her another pair that will dampen the noise but still allow her to work and talk to others if necessary. I got them same earplugs for her because she has the tendancy to leave her noise-canceling headphones at home and she can't wear her glasses with those so she's stopped wearing them altogether. I figured these would be eaisier for her to remember since they come with a keychain case, and she's getting to that age where she might not wan't to draw unwanted attention to herself in public--which the headphone would do--plus the earplugs would allow her to sleep more soundly and she would no longer have an excuse not to wear her glasses. She was a little confused when she first got them, but when I explained what they were and how they worked she was really excited. All in all, it was a very good Christmas and a purchase that was more than worth it, and one that will be followed by many more in the future. I have a sister-in-law who suffers from migraines with two very loud energetic little boys, and while she's a wonderful mother and their empathy is amazingly developed for their age...she'd still benefit from a pair of the earplugs suggested for parenting and public venues so you can still have a conversation. So, I will surly be back.

Good, but not good enough.

Great for the Loud World
17 November 2023

I bought the quiet loops because I have sensory issues, and for better focus. In those fronts, they help a lot. When the world gets too loud, they're incredibly helpful. I can still hear people in the same room talking if they're being louder fairly clearly, but it simultaneously allows me to drone them out far easier, if I need to. They can offer a lot of distance in terms of my emotions when I use them, so sometimes if I really want to be in the moment, I don't want to use them. I think YMMV with that regard. You can still hear things with these in, but they block much more than the Engage ones (I have those as well and really like them for different reasons). These have really helped me be in a world that is not autism friendly. The focus aspect really helps me, and after a while of having them in, I can't hear much of anything at all. Without them, I hear everything and can't get any work done. They advertise also that you can sleep comfortably in them and I agree. I don't feel them while sleeping. You have to put them in properly. I will say that once I wore them and one fell out in my sleep despite being the right size, but I must have not put it in right, or it shifted in sleep. Therefore I would advise to be careful in the morning when you get up so you don't ruffle the bed just in case you did lose one.If I had to buy these again, I would! They're a near daily use for me, as well as the Engage ones which are better for dealing with conversations you really have to listen to and be a very active part of.You will still HEAR other things with the Quiet Loops, they don't make you 100% Deaf or anything like that. But the deafening aspect really, really helps. I could take it being slightly more sound drowning, but at that point, I wouldn't be able to hear someone in the same room I imagine which is necessary for me.

For whatever reason I was expecting them to be noise cancelling… not the case, however if you frequent big stores like Costco or say a museum like the MET, these will definitely make the experience more enjoyable! Unfortunately for me, I live with my older brother who loves playing house music after i go to bed. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have a set of the Quiet Loops on my bed stand. They’re just enough to release me back into the blissful void. A key feature about sleeping with them in is that you. do not. feel. a thing. With them in and on your side. For what, $25, they're such a solid investment. Definitely worth the money!Another thing to note is, experiment with the different ear sizes! Painful to sleep in one night, not to mention too; didn't block enough sound to sleep.
7 May 2023

I really wanted to love these but am honestly disappointed in the performance. I got the Quiet loops to sleep with because I wake very easily to the slightest of sounds, but I sleep on my side so anything bulky creates its own troubles. Firstly, I'm not able to wear these flat against my ear, the loop is always sticking out at a bit of an angle. I saw a representative say that might mean the ear canal is crooked, and thankfully it doesn't mean that moving around on my pillow knocks the loop out or anything. I could look past that.MAIN PROBLEM--painful. I was using the XS tips and honestly could probably use XXS. They're totally fine when you first put them in, but the purpose of these Quiet ones is to be slept in, and after 5 hours I woke up with my ears absolutely ... MoreI really wanted to love these but am honestly disappointed in the performance. I could look past that.MAIN PROBLEM--painful. I was using the XS tips and honestly could probably use XXS. They're totally fine when you first put them in, but the purpose of these Quiet ones is to be slept in, and after 5 hours I woke up with my ears absolutely aching. Took them out and kept sleeping, which was a real shame because early morning is when I have the most disruptions and wanted the loops to work most. I put them back in the next night to give another try, and again woke up around 4 am with my ears super tender. My ear canals were actually sore for the next two days, even without wearing them anymore, so if I can't use them for even a single night, nonetheless consecutively...they really don't fulfill the purpose.SECONDARY PROBLEM--I can still hear quite a bit? They're not noise-cancellers and I understand that, but I was able to still hear my husband breathing in the bed next to me. I could hear the AC kick on. The house creaking in the wind. In general there was a definite stillness and quiet when wearing them and during the day when I tested them out I was SO excited to have a solution to help me sleep, but in those two nights I actually wore them I would say they only halfway helped. Just disappointing.I also brought them with a few days later (after my tenderness finally eased up) to a coffee shop and wore them to help with all that noise, and it was definitely nice to be able to wear them for a couple hours and cut through the chaos. I probably had about 50% of my hearing there as well.As a whole, I would say these work just fine for short periods of time when you want to cut down on a lot of sound, but I don't think they work well at all for actually sleeping in--and definitely not for sleeping in every consecutive night. Honestly deliberated sending them back but if I need something for a few hours, or maybe laying down for a nap, I might want them, so...I'll just keep them. The price of these was definitely affordable so I'm not dying for a refund.

They're mostly comfortable. None of the sizes are perfect, so I'll probably get the foam tips soon to try those to see if they're any better - they do fall out sometimes, but not often. And when they do fall out I don't think it's negatively impacting my sleep. The only real knock I'd give them, though I imagine this is the case with pretty much all earplugs ever, is that when you point them in YOU become so much louder. You can hear your heartbeat and blood flow and breath and it's all way louder, which can be sort of weird and disconcerting at first. But as I'm just using these to plug my ears when I get in bed and I'm only reading and sleeping with them in, they're fine.I'm excited to try these out on airplanes and/or at concerts in the future.Overall I've been ... MoreThey're mostly comfortable. Unfortunately not great :(

I was so hopeful! The packaging is beautiful, the purple colour is awesome, the silicone is soft, and the QR code to instructions and care is super convenient. Unfortunately when the earplugs arrived, they had the medium-sized tips on them and one had a 5mm cut in it along the curve of the tip. The mediums were too big anyways so figured I'd just throw out the damaged one anyways so didn't report it. The worst part is then none of the sizes seemed to fit right and swapping all the tips took over an hour! The soft silicone makes aligning it terrible. Nothing like the ease in the video. And if the tip doesn't sit perfectly, it won't sit right in the ear. When I finally got it, none of the sizes seemed to fit right. To get the noise reduction, I had to downsize to XS and fiddle with it for 5 minutes in my ear, then the loop part sat really funny on the outer ear. I was so annoyed by the end of it they've just sat there, totally untouched. I've used many types of plugs before that work better and fit well - I opted for this brand for sustainability and to cut down on buying new ones so often. I went for these because I felt the loop would make putting them in and out of your ear a breeze as well but it was the worst part. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised...the tips are a basic ear bud with nothing curved to help it sit in the ear well except the loop..which didn't work well.

After seeing these advertised all over, I was excited to try them out as I have a hard time sleeping due to my partner's snoring. Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience with these ear plugs and would not recommend them to someone. They do not stay in my ears no matter the tip size I use. They fall out constantly throughout the night. They barely block noise. I can hear snoring, the fan blowing, someone walking around the room, basically any and every noise. These cost way too much to not work and not stay in my ears. Cheap foam ear plugs work much better and actually stay in my ears.My only pro for these is that they are comfortable for side sleepers as they sit flush in the ear. Way Better than I'd even Imagined

The snoring one (not me) has kept me awake more and more and desperate, I tried a pillow over my head (it never stayed in place), other bluetooth sleep buds that were mighty spendy and uncomfortable and/or cut out many many times during the night. And my favorite, music in the buds that paused between songs, waking me up. Every. Time. I tried foam plugs (ouch) and other silicon plugs (very much ouch) and finally broke down and bought these. At first they were in the uncomfortable once again territory, but not enough to make me break up with them. I ended up using the xsmall which really was a surprise because I am very tall and not a small person but I guess my ears are. Who knew?! After a few weeks they fit even better, especially if I managed to get them into the correct ear - cause once they break in they fit perfectly but each ear is slightly different so matching them is important (for me). I'm almost gonna go for two sets of quiet in different colors to make that work better. The snoring continues but with these, it's so far removed it makes it not even a slight issue to my very special snowflake noise detector. I am still getting used to the stillness in my head when the earplugs are in- it's kind of like wearing a giant noise cancelling head set but these are tiny tiny little noise cancelers. In fact, they would probably say they don't noise-cancel but I am here (hear?) to tell you they almost do that with the mute attached to them. Sure, I can hear some stuff and they do move around a bit as I fidget in my sleep but they still manage to keep the annoying noises far, far away. Anyway, I will keep these stocked and I am here to say thank you to whomever imagined these into a product. I am one of the pickiest noise people on the planet (or so it feels) and these little loops are the best thing to come into my life to achieve a decent night's sleep. So much appreciated. Thank you.
