R2-D2 Tamagotchi Holographic Ver. (Electronic Toy)

My 10 year old is a gamer and a huge Star Wars fan AND wants a pet. I had tamagotchis in the 90s so when I seen this I just HAD TO get it as a stocking stuffer. It’s fairly simple to take care of - not a ton of work like I remember them being but that’s actually a good thing. He has unlocked extra games to play as he moves along and has seen several special guests. He loves it and I have been loving the nostalgia.Everyone says it’s smaller than normal but I just attributed that to technological advances since tamagotchis came out in the 90s. Bring R2-D2 everywhere with you!

I love that R2-D2 is a Tamotchi! This R2-D2 Tamagotchi is so cute. The shell is colored to look just like R2D2. It's also small, smaller than the standard Tamagotchi. Because of it's size, it's easy to carry or hang on a backpack. The screen is still large enough to play the simple games using the 3 buttons. It's fun to play without being too time consuming.It's cute that you care for R2-D2 by giving it oil! I also love that there are 2 games to play and over time, you can unlock 7 more games. In addition to R2-D2, there are also starships and special visitors such as Yoda, Mando, Jawas and C-3PO.I received this Tamagotchi for review.

Such a quirky little gift! Due to popular demand in November I didnt manage to recieve my item until after Christmas unfortunately. However, I have saved it for my partners birthday so he doesn't know he has got it yet! I'm so excited to give it him! It looks amazing!

My favorite Nano

For those who are unfamiliar with tamagotchis, this is one of the Nanos. This means the tamagotchi is much smaller than the originals. It also has less functions compared to other tamagotchis. But, it’s still a ton of fun! You take care of an R2D2 by feeding it and playing games. Compared to some other nano models I’ve tried, this one has many more games. You start with two games and unlock more as your R2D2 grows. This tamagotchi is perfect for anyone who is a Star Wars fan, loves tamagotchis, and doesn’t want to spend all day caring for the tamagotchi (Nanos do NOT require your constant attention, I check mine every couple of hours)!

Perfect combination!

Wow this is a blast from the past! We love Star Wars and our Tamagotchi, so to play with them together is a must. R2D2 is so cute, and both kids love taking care of him. Another good thing with Tamagotchi is that you don't need the internet to play. Perfect on the go. We took ours to the pool, out for lunch, and on a walk. He is a part of the family!

Perfect pocket-sized Star Wars toy

Awesome little guy in mint condition! This one's a very fun tamagotchi to play with, with quite nice colors, and very easy to bring with me anywhere because of its small size, chain, ability to be muted, and easy (but a little cheat-y) way to pause if necessary. I'm very glad that R2-D2 got to be my first tamagotchi thanks to this seller. He's already gotten a few upgrades in the time it took to review ^^

Pocket size fun

A little bit of fun. Tamagotchis have always been fun to use but the fact this one is Star Wars theme gives it a little something else. I love the fact characters from the franchise pop to ‘visit’ at different times of the day. The mini games are fun and I like that they change depending on the skills R2 knows and has learnt!Perhaps some instructions included in the packet would have been useful but nothing a quick Google couldn’t solve.

What an awesome little pocket fidget! I grew up with Tamagotchi in the 90s, and it makes me so happy to see that Bandai continues to grow the brand, especially with an amazing license like Star Wars! This Classic White Star Wars R2-D2 is an excellent homage to the world's favorite on screen Droid. It gives him even more personality, and he becomes very quickly, very easy to love. He beeps, boops, but more importantly, he plays a bunch of fun mini games. It made us burst out laughing the first time the Jawas came along to kidnap our lonely R2. You also get treated to some fun surprise guest stars from the Star Wars universe too! Perfect for a kid, an adult, any Star Wars fan! I have been a fan of Star Wars and Tamagotchi since I was a kid and to now have them come together makes my heart so happy! They did an amazing job on the design of this adorable toy. The fun is never-ending; you'll be excited to see some special guests including Yoda, there's numerous skills that you'll help R2-D2 master plus a bunch of mini-games are unlocked as his skill level increases. It's so easy to play with and you don't need the internet! Pop him on your keychain or backpack which makes it so convenient to take care of him and you're ready for lots of on-the-go fun! You'll want to bring this little guy everywhere!!
