A really nice, lightweight hoody. The only thing stopping me buying another is I'm not sold on the colours. Fits really well under a Borealis jacket for extra warmth and wind protection. That combo is also pretty good in a light shower. It's not an 'oversized' or loose-fitting product.

Used as a mid-layer in 10F-20F (clear sunny days) skiing and was perfectly warm. Base layer was smartwool 250 pullover and wore obermeyer foundation jacket on top. Got so steamy that my phone in the chest pocket had to be wiped off and moved to a jacket pocket. Ignored the hood - did not cause problems under a ski jacket, but I appreciated the full zip here to easily open up and regulate temps. Glad I got this rather than the pullover.Based on size chart (and I measured myself before ordering), I figured that a large would be sufficient, but it's almost a shmedium on me. I should have gone XL. It worked, but very form fitting. Seems too thin / light to be effective but worked great overall. The lack of bulk is deceiving but no complaints after use.

I like very much this jacket, a nice cut, the material has a pleasant touch. The adjustable hem is very useful and it's a pity that other Rab jackets misses it. For the moment I am wearing it as a mid-layer; together with a Rab electron it's ok for temperatures going down to ~5C. Almost certainly it will be a good out-layer for spring and autumn. The hood looks well when the zipper is full closed; but otherwise it seems a bit like a strange appendix, coming from another jacket.Overall I strongly recommend it.

Looks great fits well. Love the adjustable toggle at the bottom hem of the hoody. One major problem is that the hoody bobbles all over rapidly. Severely reducing the look and quality feel of the product a real shame.
I purchased this item for those cool summer evenings spent by the lake, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect addition to my wardrobe, as I find myself wearing it as my primary layer when the temperature drop. It keeps me warm until it reaches about 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Perfect fit for me. I typically wear slim fit and Patagonia brand clothing. It is cut longer which is great for cooler weather and prevents drafts from beneath, but isn't so long it looks silly for casual use (like my R1 half zip hoody). I've used as a mid layer for cold weather camping and it was great. Zipped all the way up but without the hood is nice for a scarf/cowl neck feeling. I love the zippered pockets on sides and chest which are useable in size. First piece of Rab clothing and will definitely consider this brand in the future.
No the Rab quality that I use to know and love. Some seemingly good materials thrown together with no care for attention to detail. Loads of threads bare across the garment, leaving me the customer the choice to tidy them up myself or leave them be…. Not what you expect when paying £75 for a ‘quality’ Rab fleece…. Pretty disappointed.
Perfect fleece for climbing in colder months and it looks good! I bought a second capacitator hoody as an extra. I have had the first one for almost a year and the fabric - made out of recycled materials - doesn't show much wear after that period. The flexible parts of fabric make it very comfortable to climb in. The sleeves are also long enough. The fleece is also a perfect extra layer for hiking, camping, or just wearing it at home. The only downside with the second exemplar was that is was shipped in a plastic bag, while previous Rab products came in a paper bag. As a climate neutral company Rab shouldn't ship in plastic in my opinion.
These are my go-to extra layers in the winter. I have three, each in a different colour. Light to wear, very movable, they keep me at a perfect temperature when walking and birdwatching. I particularly like the feel of the sleeves, which are lighter and thinner than other tops, but do an excellent job of regulating temperature. And when things get very strenuous, the moisture wicking works perfectly. These are a high quality product that I love using.
Was looking for a medium mid-layer with some wind resistance that could be fielded stand-alone during walking commute in mid Michigan. Material was lighter than anticipated and returned prior to wearing regularly. Fit was close, not too tight and not floppy either. Appeared well constructed. Would probably be more warm if worn during more vigorous activity.
