Raco Cuisine 16/18/20cm Universal Steamer With Lid

This is a Christmas present for my Grand-daughter.I have been using mine since the beginning of time, and would be lost without it.I am 100% positive that my GD will feel the same way about her gift.

This Multi-steamer fits perfectly on the RACO Contemporary 16cm, 18cm and 20cm pans. You can easily fit a large amount of mixed vegetables in it for steaming, would also be ideal for steaming puddings etc. The glass lid fits well allowing for the steamer to maintain its steaminess. The steamer handles on the sides and the lid do become warm during cooking, but not red hot - but be mindful that they may become hot over a longer period of steaming. So far, I haven't had any issues with the handles becoming over hot (steamed food for 25 minutes). The steamer is also easy to clean. What an excellent device. I pace the carrots in the water and steam the zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, and either snow peas or beans. The taste is sensational.

Average at best

An average lower quality steamer but well priced. Love that it fits so many different sized pots & has its own lid BUT the bottom section where holes are is very flimsy & really thin quality. It actually moves so much with a gentle finger press that it makes “ping pong” type noises when it moves up/down as you press. Sadly the quality of raco steel is not what it used to be.

Fantastic cookware

The perfect sized steamer to use when you are camping and don't have much space on your BBQ burners. Highly recommend Raco products. One happy customer.

RACO Universal Steamer

Excellent addition to saucepan set. Love the glass lid. I added a small cake cooler and made two layers. Start to cook potatoes on rack first then lift rack and put in greens and carrots replacing racks with potatoes to finish cooking. 4 Veges plus mashed potatoes. I have always found KitchenDirect's parcel handling and postage first class. 2 to 3 days done deal. thanks MM

Saucepans

I bought my first set 31 yrs ago & have now purchased a new set ! I can’t part with my beloved set which is still in great condition until the new set has proven itself ( so far fabulous)It’s been a brand that has been reliable & trustworthy for the last 31 yrs so why not stay with something you trust

Steamer

Not really happy - bought a set of circulon pots (as I have had to have induction capable pots).- only has 16 and 20 cm - not a 18cm size. Whilst steamer does fit in all 3 sizes because of the way it fits into the pots - it goes down a long way into the pot and you can't have very much water in the bottom of the pot or it just comes through into the steamer. Tried to buy an 18 cm size pot yesterday - told there is not one to match the set ( Genesis ) I bought. In terms of the steamer itself - was delivered promptly without any problems

Steamer that fits multiple pots

Needed a steamer that fitted over smaller pots so I could use an adjacent plate for larger pots and still get all my vegies steamed, can also boil whatever in the smaller pot. Does exactly what I wanted.
