I acts used this on my back for an injury. It stayed warm all day and felt so soothing. I put it on a thin tank top over the area and it worked great. No skin irritation thru clothing and I have very sensitive skin. If you want extra warmth I found leaning against something or some type of pressure on the area caused it to warm more and more. If using for menses and have cramps more than just one small area you'll need to use more than one. Using there without skin contact may be difficult depending on size or type of underwear you wear. This was a life saver for me and I will be using them for endometrial pain but will need to buy several since it's continuous pain and they only last 8h. These are a life saver for me so I'll pay for it!

Last month, I went on a random Target run with my sister. She pointed out this box of heating pads to me that sounded interesting and potentially helpful. I suffer from severe dysmenorrhea and am constantly looking for different kinds of products that may offer relief. I really wanted these to work, but I was definitely disappointed. Since purchasing these pads, I’ve tried placing them in a variety of locations, including my lower abdomen and lower back. At first, they seemed legit. The beads inside the pads started to warm up as soon as I removed the adhesive and attached them to the outside of my underwear. However, they barely get hot enough to feel any real relief. I ended up laying in bed with the electric heating pad on full blast instead. If these are ...Ā MoreLast month, I went on a random Target run with my sister. Why didn't I buy this before?? I am not a pill taker or a believer that anything will really help significantly with my intense and painful periods. After childbirth, my periods became worse. I decided to invest and make the purchase. Im so glad I did. I use one daily at the start of my period, and then switch to an electric heating pad in the evening when I can. In the meantime, this has been great in providing a small sense of relief. It does not go directly on your skin. So, you may want to wear a longer underwear when you need to adhere one on. I wouldn't put it anywhere besides on your underwear for periods as you probably won't feel the heat if there is a thicker barrier like if its on pants or something. I have already bought extra for next month. Having some ...Ā MoreWhy didn't I buy this before?? Why suffer in pain when you can help yourself, help your mood and overall brighten your day.

Good! - If your expectations are realistic

I recommended these to family/friends, and I am currently buying again. I use these on extra crampy days, when I am away from home, in addition to my normal pain/bloat relief meds. And they are a total game changer when used in this way! This should be obvious out the gate, but clearly it is not, based on all the reviews saying the same thing... ***THESE ARE NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR AN ACTUAL HEATING PAD!***... I first used these, and I'm leaving this review, with this point in mind... These are good, and I recommend them, if you are leaving the house for an extended amount of time (ie. work, errands), and are looking for some heat therapy, and will use them in addition to your normal pain relief OTC medications. They DO NOT offer a level of heat that I would consider hot, more like warm... But the heat therapy that they DO offer is a lovely thing to have, in situations where having heat therapy available would not be possible. All of this being said, my major caveat (and reason for 3 stars) is that I feel the cost of the product is a little too high, for the quantity per package, plus the actual heat output... While these are still a game changer for me, I consider these more of an optional, luxury item that are wonderful to have on hand to use as needed... But due to cost/performance, they are not a must have for me. If the product itself had a higher heat output, I'd gladly push these up to 4-5 stars

Hardly any heat and no scent.
19 February 2024

Very disappointed when I used this. They do not get warm or hot at all. They can best be described as tepid. The instructions warn not to out on bare skin in case of burns but these don't even get hot enough to feel any warmth, even on your skin. there is also no scent at all. I was very disappointed, especially as they had great reviews. But these were nothing like all the previous reviews. They are also very small, probably the size of my hand. Complete waste of money.

Not bad
30 July 2024

These aren’t bad; they’re convenient for stick on heating patches vs filling up a hot water bottle every time. But the hot water bottle does work faster and longer…these heat up kind of slowly for me. I wore it to bed one time so far, I fell asleep before I really felt any significant heat, but I wasn’t in pain anymore when I woke up. But my pains usually don’t last longer than a couple of hours, so not sure how effective this patch will be for more severe pain. But for more heat impact, I’d probably buy like the heat warmer patches for winter that you put in your pockets; those work great.

Other products work better
30 May 2024

I recently had tried the icy hot neck patch’s on a emergency dollar general run because I was in a lot of period related pain… they worked AMAZING the size was perfect, temp was perfect, adhesive was PERFECT, and it helped tremendously with the pain I experience, making it basically unnoticeable. I was at target last week and figured since I ran out of those I’d try these since they are actually marketed for it. Got my period today and again was in horrible pain, threw one of these on, hasn’t helped at all, barley any heat, was frustrating trying to get my underwear at a good spot for this to go on and it came off within 10 minutes of walking around and doing stuff. I’m definitely disappointed and wasted my money and now I’m grumpy and still in pain.

PRODUCT HAS CHANGED
9 June 2024

I used to get these years ago, and this is when the product itself (out the box) was in a square shape. The heat used to be great. I took a chance and got these today and they are terrible. I bought one from two different targets and neither one heat up at all. I pressed hard on them to try to activate the heat, but they didn’t work. I don’t know why the company changed the shape and the product inside. Absolutely do not recommend. Especially for someone who is looking for quick comfort during those hard menstrual days. So disappointed.

I decided to order these heating patches because I've experienced period-related pains, and I thought these would be handy for my next cycle. It's a thing that you stick onto your underwear, so you'll need high-waisted, snug-fitting underwear to ensure a tight seal with your body. The patch doesn't heat up immediately; in the first 5 minutes, you may not feel the effect as heating occurs gradually. However, once the process starts, you'll feel a consistent flow of gentle and comfortable warmth, not a burning sensation. I plan to reorder these patches to always have them on hand for lower abdominal pain relief. I even tried using one on my lower back when I had backache. It may not be as effective as for your period cramping, but it's still worth a try.

great product!!
18 May 2024

This product for menstrual pain relief is simply excellent. It provides effective and long-lasting relief from cramps and discomfort throughout the day. The product is carefully formulated with gentle ingredients that are suitable for sensitive users. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering, and the packaging is convenient for use and carrying. I feel confident and comfortable using it, and it has become an integral part of my monthly care routine. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality and reliable solution for menstrual pain relief.
