Weird description, not sure how something that doesn't trap anything can be called a trap. Seems like false advertising.
Look, i know it seems like it doesn't do anything, i swear it works! I would not say this product is a cockroach trap, but it is a bait. I left them on places where cockroach might pop up and say hi. After I have them around, I never had incident of living cockroach trying to socialise with me. I usually find them dead in corners of my house.
No idea if it works on cockroaches since the rats seem to love eating this stuff before the roaches can get to it. They have no problem chewing right through the bait stations to extract the bait puck.If you are using these and think you might also have a rodent problem then I suggest using double-sided tape to attach them to a flat vertical surface where rats and mice can't get to it.
I am so happy with this product. After one day with 9 bait stations in the kitchen, hundreds of cockroaches are dying and crawling out on the floor. My children have fun by killing those 'slowly moving' creatures.
Noticed that the entry wholes on the sides are too small for the adult Australian cockroach, only the nymphs can enter the bait to feed! Not so effective if the adults keep breeding with each brood 13-18 nymphs! Waist of money. Upgrade to the syringe bait applicator.
