I bought this after my 15 year old rain bird stowaway started leaking. Amazing quality, hope this one lasts 15 years too. My only complaint is they don’t make lime green at the moment

The lining on this jacket disintergrates. I bought this rainjacket and within 6months only wore it about four times. the white lining inside the jacket and in the hood disintergrated completely. I replaced it, hoping to give the jacket another chance, but the same thing has already started to happen. Not sure if I am having a string of back luck but the quality not definitely not good in my experience.

I haven’t had the opportunity to use this in rain conditions yet. I’m very impressed with the quality of the fabric and the manufacture, it certainly looks to be as rainproof as described. I’ve used it in heavy fog and wind, it kept me dry and warm. I purchased the largest size, 3XL, more for the extra length than the extra room. I’m typically about a size 18-20, this was generously large and easily able to fit over several under layers including a bulky jacket and still be unrestrictive. I folded mine back into its pouch, (i hate it when they’re all wrinkly) it was easy to fold to return to the pouch. It can also be shoved into its own pocket, which I haven’t tried to do yet. Haven't tested it in the rain yet, but it seems sturdy enough. Has a lining which is mesh on the top half to regulate body temp and solid lining at the bottom. Hood tucks into the collar. Good for cold weather as you heat up quite fast.
Not as advertised. The Rainbird 2 has vents in the front and back. The older jacket has no vents in the front. This is the one i received, however, it does the job.
Luckily I picked up and tried on instore before I left. Bought size small (I am 55kg)had to exchange for extra small which is still a bit big but will probably be fine when wearing winter gear. Love the look, feel and length (I am 156cm) and comes below my rear. Colours true to website pics
I found it too be rather generous for a size xlSo have now brought a largeThe size difference is quite noticeableI’m normally a size 16 or largeAdore the colour though
Great jacket. I bought this one for my husband, as I have had one for about 5 years now. Still exactly the same thank goodness. The only thing that had changed was the pouch to put it in. My older one had more stretchable mesh which is easier to fit it into. This one has more fabric - hence slightly more difficult to stow away. Other than that, a great jacket - would not hesitate to recommend.
Love it! Apart from looking great, it keeps me feeling dry & comfortable in wet weather. The fact that it folds up into it’s own pocket makes it easy to have on hand!
Bought an XL for my husband on line. Considering my S that I’ve had for years is a very large fit we assumed an XL would be plenty big enough and baggy for my husband. Upon receipt he tried it on and it was a very tight fit. He is only a large size at best. I laid the XL on the floor with my S over top. There was only about 1 centimeters either side in difference yet it is supposed to be 3 sizes larger! I’ve yet to see how hard it is to exchange it.
