I purchased this to mount a ceiling track to a gyprock hallow surface and its holding up fine. I also read others reviews on failing anchors prior to installation, so I tested 1 anchor first (without drilling) and it sure failed. Not sure if its one time use only ie once it turns it doesnt go back into its original form. Secondly, I twisted the anchor into the gyprock and took it out again and blow off the dust / excess materials. I believe this part is crucial for not getting the anchor jammed. Did 6 anchors fine.

These are the strongest anchors Ramset sell, and do a fine job, probably stronger than the wall itself. Note the drill tip of the anchors is not hard and will easily wear if substrate is too hard or insufficient force used. Pre drilling may help. In contrast when the anchor screw is being seated a very delicate touch is needed. Do not try and hang a TV with this product plaster will just break around the anchor.

Love the concept and 20kg rating, but its not the ramset quality I'm used to. The threads strip out on more than 50% of them. Have to test every one before installing it. Also found that insulation in the wall can prevent it from working correctly. These are also a lot longer than most other toggle bolts, so make sure you have clearance.

Purchased these after view you tube comparison video. Big mistake have previously used hollow wall anchors to mount tv etc but was swayed into using these, supposedly much better but no they are not. Three out of seven failed before the toggle even tightened to the wall. Weak point is where the terrible self tapping screws bite into the toggle. My guess people receive payments for good online reviews ( you tube) maybe a slightly thicker toggle and properer metal thread screws.Sorry but would not recommend this product
Quality of these toggles are not what they used to be. Before covid i found that maybe 5% failed. Now i find that at least 20% fail. I have to test every one before using in walls. Not great value when you pay full price for a product for a large failure rate. These toggles used to be amazing, now just a pain to install. Again, quality is just not there anymore.
Best anchors I’ve used (and I’ve tried some and tested which ones fail with pulling or torsional force - not just a hanging vertical force, and these hold up the best. They distribute that force better against the back of the wall and less likely to fail compared to many other versions out there).Ithese are the only ones I trust. Used 2 to hand 40kg mirror and a stud on one side and 2 on the other for my tv wall mount to secure my 80” tv.I even use them as over kill to hand pictures so they don’t fall and break the expense antireflection glass.Others that have rated them low either don’t know how to use them correctly or there was a bad batch of stripping thread - I’ve never had that issue and I have bought probably 10packs of these over the last decade.
Great when they work. I have wall mounted my tv in 2 houses and large cabinets using these and they are very strong. Only problem is to get the internal mechanism to open and secure to the wall is near impossible. Half the time the screw doesn’t open the latch inside and just keeps turning. Then the latch has fallen open inside and so you can’t get the screw head out. Completely useless. Many holes in walls because of this bad design.
I have used other Ramset wall anchors in the past and found them to be great, but these fixings are very unreliable. if you even slightly overtighten them they will come loose. If there is insulation behind they will become untangled and unscrew themselves each time you attempt to tighten. Would not trust these at all and do not recommend. Next time I will buy the gripit fixings
Screwing on softwood would be better but you can use this if necessary. Be mindful when using on walls with sliding doors - too long. Avoid over tightening or you may crumble and lose grip on plaster. Used this on installing DIY ceiling curtain rails. Hopefully, it will hold infinitely.
Bought 8 pieces to secure my TV to the wall, out of which, 6 failed because the thread on the toggle stripped when hand-tightening. I wasn't even putting force on the screw. The sheet metal where the screw thread is on is less than 2mm thick, very easily stripped. For something supposedly able to take 20kg, this is ridiculous.
