Rapha Brevet Socks Black EU 44-46 Man
Long-lasting cycling socks designed for endurance rides and multi-day bike tours, with a wool and PrimaLoft blend fabric delivering breathability, comfort and quick-drying qualities. Comfort becomes paramount the longer a ride goes on. These Brevet Socks have been developed with long-distance riding in mind. Tested during the 2015 Transcontinental, a 4,000km journey across Europe, they are made of an innovative blend of merino wool and PrimaLoft. Medium-weight in thickness for warmth and comfort, the merino wool offers moisture-wicking, breathability, and antibacterial qualities, while PrimaLoft guarantees a soft, smooth feel and dries quickly. A handy benefit for tourers is that the fabric is quick-drying, so you can wash and dry the socks overnight, while Rapha has also added a highly reflective yarn stripe to keep you visible. For added comfort and to stop blisters, there is a soft terry-cloth section under the ball of the foot. These versatile, durable socks won't let your feet down.

Well, first impression is not good. The navy socks are a completely different color than the jersey. It's not even close to a match, more like a light shade of washed out blue-grey than the dark navy color of the jersey (jersey seems great btw, other than the fact that it's made in China). I have yet to wear the socks so can't comment on performance but I'll only likely wear them with jeans and sneakers. Would not have purchased these if I knew they did not match. Sorry Rapha.

I've used many different brands and styles over the years but these are the best, most balanced pair of socks I've owned. They have the right balance of substance and padding for long rides but are thin and breathable enough that they stay cool even in the heat of summer. They are the pair I reach for first.

I have a pair of Brevet socks from two years ago that are my favorite riding socks, period. So I ordered another one, and what a disappointment. These don't even feel close to being the same material. These are a lot more stiff, less stretchy, and feels uncomfortable. It's a lot tighter and doesn't feel like it is made of the same softer, merino blend--not even close. The strangest part is that the very top of the socks, the black section above the first stripe is so poorly stitched that it isn't even straight--it slightly overlaps with the reflective gray line. It's insane. I am starting to believe that Walmart buying Rapha was a horrible event, intended to cheapen the product and increase profit margins. This is in no way the same product as I bought earlier.

I bought these to match with a jersey that I have. They fit well, they aren't too thick, and the reflective detail is nice. I don't think they will work in cold weather but are perfect for cool/mild weather. I am happy with my purchase. I purchased a size Medium and I am a size Women's 8.5
Love these socks! The fit is great, the color variety is appealing, the quality holds up to multiple washes (hang dry), and the reflective elements help me feel safer when on the road. Will buy more.
These are the socks I mostly wear unless it’s hot out. Very comfortable. Not too thick, not too thin, they don’t wear out, the stripes are still reflective after washing many times. Zero complaints.
I have very wide feet. I'm technically 11.5 length, but in the real world that means anywhere from 11.5 to 12.5 depending on shoes. The large fit better than the XLs. Less slippage, especially when shame walking... XL size is perfect for commuting.Maybe I'm just weird.
After a road ride, showered/changed, these socks feel fresh enough for a night on the town. Yet, unlike some other merino kit, they haven't unravelled after a quite a lot of use. Also great for commuting. The reflective stripe has made me feel more comfortable when I found myself in a tunnel on a ride in Italy.I now have three pairs in different colors!
Sleek merino socks, with durable reflective threads. Fantastic piece to wear for longer days, or later starts to keep you visible in traffic and on winding backroads. Merino is just unstoppable for its wicking and comfort properties. Fantastic riding staple, well worth the purchase.
These socks are well made, but Rapha should note in its product description that these fit tightly (not compression, just tight) and shrink. This is not the other Merino socks sold by Rapha.
