Absolutely Love Raquel Welch’s Advanced French Wig
I have been having a very difficult time finding a new wig to replace the wigs that I have worn so very many times, and could never quite find something that worked for me. Being 80 years old in about a week, that presented some challenges as well. I usually wear a Petite/Average size wig as I have a 21 1/4” circumference head, so I took a chance e with ordering Raquel Welch Advanced French wig and it is fitting me quite comfortably. I haven’t worn it out yet, but I might tighten the straps just a tiny bit, but if you are on the fence about the size, then don’t wait no longer. I purchased it in Biscuit and it is just lovely!! Hoping I can attach a video so all can see it and I hope you enjoy!... Show more

Buyer beware
Buyer beware I’ve been wearing Raquel Welch for years ever since she started the wig business. I’ve been wearing wigs since the 1960s I used to model wigs I know wigs so I bought Welch advanced which I’ve been wearing for many years now since it came out and this is not, the real thing unfortunately before I had a chance, my daughter cut the labels out so I’m stuck I guess for $148 should’ve not been more than $48 at the most. It is not the real thing. I am very unhappy. I will never order from the company again buyer beware it’s all I can tell you . Zero stars... Show more

Decision to go short was worth it!
I have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. Due to POS and a hormone blocker I will take for a few more years, my hair had no chance at coming back to anything resembling a full head. I've played around with a few styles, staying mostly with bobs, which was close to my hairstyle before chemo and I was comfortable with. I decided to take the plunge and go for a shorter, easier style and came upon Advanced French. Ordered in a lighter color (RL 14/22, Pale Golden Wheat) as my own hair is mostly white and a golden blonde. The wig came and it immediately seemed to brighten my face and is a very youthful style, not that at 64 yrs. I want to look like a kid, but every little bit helps. I had it on when the husband came home ... MoreI have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. I had it on when the husband came home from work and he didn't have to say anything for me to know he approved. Its fun, easy and for a short style, has some styling options. The lace front is not as itchy as some have been and I love getting hair off my neck and off the face. Great little style and ordered two more right away.... Show more

Everything Was Wrong!
I ordered advanced French in a light blonde color. The description said 4 inches on crown and front. My wig had a huge 7" chunk of hair at the front that dropped to my chin. This was not in the description to have a long bang. Also the front sides were set in to go backwards, yet the picture showed them coming forward. You can never do anything to get them to go forward. The color was fine as described but the hair itself was dull with no sheen to it. Sorely disappointed as this is my first order plus it cost me shipping and return. You may have better luck. I will shop elsewhere.... Show more

Long time buyer disappointed.
I've worn this wig for years and it was always consistent with the photo. The last several time I recieved it, no matter from which seller, it is unrecognizable but much more expensive. I need to wear a wig every day and I am hard pressed to get my wig to look presentable. Advanced French was always shake and go. I'm at my wit's end. I can't afford to buy wigs and be so disappointed. I'm afraid to order.... Show more

My review of the Advanced French Wig by Raquel Welch
The fit is snug. I don’t need a headband with it. I usually wear average size but I have a few petites that don’t cover my side burns very well and this wig is one of them although it is supposed to be an average. The style is different for me & is taking some getting use to but the more I wear it and play with it the more satisfied I am. The curls are long and loose and it can look to be a bit much, but you can tame them down by patting them closer to your head. I’m thinking on a windy day that attempt will be useless and I’ll have a wild hair day. I’m thinking of taking it to my hairdresser to see if it can be trimmed shorter on top. I’m pleased with the shade of red color that I ordered.... Show more

perfect wig for me
I have purchased many wigs, but this one with the lace front fits perfect. I just bought another color so I would have more than one. It seemed to short at first and cut uneven. I've gotten used to it and it is me. my style. I don't think I would choose anything but lace front. it looks like it is not a wig and stays on better than the basic cap. I've been learning my self. But costing me a bit doing it :)I'm hoping to speak with someone soon at wigs.com . I imagine they could be quite helpful with choosing different wigs for me.it is hard to know how to choose a style that looks good on me. I definitely hit this one right... Show more

Quality has declined
I have 2 Advanced French that I have had for quite a while that are great quality. Fibers are extremely easy to style and stay right in place. I wanted a new color so I ordered it in Shaded Biscuit. The color is great but nothing else is the same. there are many short hairs at the crown that stand straight up and the fibers are not at all the same. Many flyaways and nothing stays in place. the cut is not the same either. I hoped this was a fluke so I ordered a replacement.. Sadly it is just as bad. I am SO disappointed as I really wanted this wig. Both will have to go back.. I will be extremely unhappy if I get stuck with the shipping on these.... Show more

Really nice wig
I love this wig. It's very comfortable and looks great. I like the tab that keeps the wig close to the face in front of the ear. I also like how the back hugs my neck. The wig doesn't look like the photo, as it is much longer, but I love it anyway. I haven't used any heat or styling tools on this wig as I haven't had any need to! I will probably buy this wig again to have a backup.... Show more

Very nice wig! Realistic.
I really wanted to love this, based on how many reviews loved it, and actual photos. The caps fit very well and were comfortable. I tried two colors- pearl blonde rooted, and the gradient charcoal color-- sadly neither was quite right for me. The top and crown is a lot longer than I expected too but easy to work with.Since actual photos were so very helpful to me, im sharing some Just-out-of-the-box photos in case its helpful to someone else. Its a great wig, just not what i'm looking for.... Show more
