I always hated the way make up felt on my face years ago, but need to cover some stuff up. I tried a variety of primers, most of which felt horrible on my skin. My daughter talked about how good the Rare Beauty brand was so when Sephora had a sale I ordered this. So glad I did. Pros: - Goes on silky smooth, like a lotion - Doesn't clog pores - Evens out large pores and wrinkles - Great base to put other make up over Cons: - None. I love this product. This will be my forever primer.

Before this i used to try Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, UD primer (for the matte types) but this Rare Beauty primer really works wonderful on my skin because it blurs my pore very well and make a smooth finish of my makeup too! It sticks well with my foundation, turn out my makeup is soo long-lasting at least up to 12 hours & more. The texture is look-alike silicone-base and it works well with your foundation that is silicone-base too. I would suggest this primer for those who are having combination (more to oily) or oily skin types, this RB primer is made for you to have a good prep-prime base before makeup. For sure i will re-purchase this primer, worth my money.

First, I do have "mature" skin... so maybe this works better on more youthful skin. Second, I do love the way this applies and feels on the skin. I will wear it alone and it gives me a bit of a glow, without being too "dewy". BUT, as for using it under foundation (and I've used it under several different foundations from budget to expensive), it does NOTHING for minimizing my pores. When I use this, any foundation will sink into all my skin imperfections, especially the pores and it just looks terrible. I've literally cleaned my face and started over with a different primer. So, thumbs up as a "no makeup" look alone, but an absolute loss when it comes to being an actual primer. Very disappointed given the price and the claims.
I like the product. I like how light weight it feels. I also like that I can tell a difference in my pores. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because I do have a naturally red face so I wish there was an option to help with red faces. I just use color correcting products and it's fine. But other than that, I do enjoy the product. I also do plan on getting the bigger bottle next time. I do run through this pretty fast because even on days when I don't wear make up, I do catch myself using the product because it does make my skin look really good.
I am thoroughly impressed with this primer. I have hyper sensitive oily skin, so I need something to control oil but without dehydrating my skin or irritating it, and this works! My rare beauty tinted moisturizer looked so much more smoother over this than it does alone. There was significantly less creasing and the product did not break up at the end of a long day like it usually does for me. It not only reduced the appearance of pores but also my fine lines. My mother even asked if I used something new on my skin because it looked so smooth. Although it gives a soft matte appearance, it’s actually kind of hydrating as well, so I think even some dry skin types might like it too.
Pretty packaging first of all. The dispenser is a nozzle that works well and delivers the perfect amount. The product seems to be fragrance free. It has a thicker texture than other primers I've tried but it's easy to spread. The only issue I have had with it is that the skin between my nose and cheeks gets irritated, red and angry. That's probably my fault because I have blackheads and open pores that I've been using the primer to help disguise. I've probably overdone it there. Also the cap comes off easily. When I took it travelling, the cap came off, the nozzle got pressed and primer came out, coating other items in my cosmetics bag. I also wonder if altitude/change of atmospheric pressure contributed to the product emptying by itself.

I ordered this recently, and was not expecting miracles because as someone with very oily skin, eventually my skin returns to normal after a couple hours. This product was different for me, though. after a few hours, I was still pretty dry and I was very impressed. My pores looked less noticeable, too, but what blew me away was definitely the product keeping my oily skin under control. I only discovered this brand this year, but I am all in now! Love it! And it's vegan to boot!!
