Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Dewy Liquid Blush Mini (Limited Edition) Virtue

I found some of the shades overly dewy or matte but 'Hope' strikes the right balance. It's very pigmented - I apply just one drop on each side with the doe foot applicator, and blend out with the 'Soft pinch blush brush'. I did try to apply with fingertips as the directions state, but found it took too long, and time is of the essence with these as they dry pretty fast!It's easy to blend as the texture is quite creamy, and it stays put for the entire day, until removed. Application matters but this product is amazing

I loved the concept of this blush and was so excited to try it. Applying the dots to my cheek worked but this is extremely pigmented, so blending directly made it hard to direct the product where I wanted and just left me with giant pink cheeks. I reduced to one dot per cheek and that definitely helped. Using a sponge left this patchy so I moved to patting it into the skin with a decently dense foundation brush then blending out the edges with a soft fluffy brush, but I found this just ate up so much product and for some reason faded throughout the day. Finally, I applied a small dab to the back of my hand and went in with a small amount on a super fluffy brush. Good blush

I bought the mini of this blush just so I can try it out to see if I like it. it’s a very creamy and pigmented formula and I find it quite easy to blend out either with hands or a makeup brush. I got the colour happy which is so pretty and love the colour. It gives quite a dewy look which is really nice and it makes your skin look more glowy. I also partly bought this because I had seen it on social media and I thought that the packaging was very cute and I wasn’t disappointed. The normal size of this product has quite a big applicator on it which is good if you are going to use a lot of blush but this blush is so pigmented that I prefer to use the mini size so I don’t apply too much blush. I first tried this formula with an old sephora favorites kit which included “joy”- it’s a neon orangey-peach in the bottle but blended out is a nice wash of a bright orange. The full size is $23 and the minis are $14 a piece so 2 minis for $28 gets me more colors for $5 more. Not the best for acne prone skin

I have been using this blush almost every day for about two years now and have loved it for the whole time. It’s super pigmented, easy to blend, and lasts all day. I have gotten in shades hope, true rose, and grateful all have been great color wise. I give 3 stars because I have also developed acne l on my cheeks over the last two years despite never having it before. I have tried everything to cure it and even debated going on accutane. About 1 month ago I finally accepted this blush could be the cause and stopped using it. I have not developed a new blemish since. Therefore, this review is a warning or PSA to anyone else in my position that this blush could be the culprit behind your cheek acne. Saturated color, but too warm and a meh drydown

This line has a lot of really pretty color options with a pretty good range of light/dark/bright/a little muted, you get a lot in the regular size bottle that will last a long time, and it's a saturated formula, so it actually shows up. It's not so opaque to be clownish, but it's not sheer where you have to keep building, which would look horrible with this. It's a little easier to apply and blend in than I imagined with a saturated liquid formula, but it does take a bit of practice imo if you're not used to liquid blushes.Aside from that, this is a pass for me. I read elsewhere that this shade Encourage was suggested for people with my undertones, and while I've had worse, I still found it to pull too warm and look more like rust on me than a shade of pink, or in my undertone case, the more anticipated mauve. So again, this just has too much warmth, and all the ones that say they are cool tones, still pull warm/lean rust or orange on me. Also, it really emphasized fine lines that I don't normally see, and settled in. I may be able to work with the settling somehow with placement or something, but definitely not until they come out with some actual cool products. I mean, how does the bright 'cool' pink shade in this line also still turn orange-ish on me? Definitely not cool, but for some people, I imagine this products shades' will show up nicely, this product and color is just not for me.

It is really really pigmented as well meaning u only need one small dote on each cheek. I like to wear the blush sometimes with no concealer and it looks so fresh and natural. I honestly don't really know what to say about these that hasn't been said already. For as much hype that these get I must say that these are 110% worth the hype. The packaging is beautiful and easy to access, you get a great amount of product in each component, and the formula is to die for. I currently have shades Happy, Grateful, and Lucky, which I each love for different reasons. Happy is a great everyday pink shade, Grateful is a natural looking true red that can also be used to create a fiery statement color, and Lucky is an absolutely stunning bright fuchsia. And let me say that the pigment for all of these...unmatched. I really, REALLY wanted to love this. Everything about receiving this was a delight. the texture of the box and the packaging felt special. But the product fell short for me.I'm not going to knock it down the 3 stars for a few reasons. #1 I don't have a sephora near by and wasn't able to test out colors against my skintone. Consequently after several days of trying out the shade Joy I knew it wasn't for me. I reordered in Happy and while I am happier with the shade I was hoping more for a baby pink. I won't count user error against it. #2 I haven't tried the product with the liquid highlighter like Selena does in her application videos. I was dabbing under my thumb and then tapping my fingers to apply, but the product, once you start to sheer it out on the cheeks was drying too fast for that application technique for me and it was ending up patchy. I wa shaving to stretch and pull the skin as I rubbed to get it to be an even application. If I applied a larger amount to avoid the fast drying the pigmentation was too great and I ended up with waaaaay to much color on my cheeks.This was solved by switching to a blush brush. Problem solved.This product would probably be great for under painting, I just don't use foundation or skin tint.I found that I reached for the natural, glowy look of the pixi blush stick or the dewy/glossy look of maybellines cheek heats more.Without the ability to test products before purchase I just can't justify continuing to spend money on a product that's been so hit and miss.It really comes down to personal preference though.I own very few make up products, but I think there are iconic products that are beautiful in their own right. A Charlotte Tilbury or YSL lipstick on the vanity, an elegant perfume on the bathroom counter. Rare products have that appeal and staying power to me.
