I purchased this glove about a month ago for our 12U team. The glove was easy to break in and the overall quality was pretty good. At our last practice players started to complain that their glove hand washurting. I used the glove to catch a few pitches and I quickly saw what they meant. The glove seems alright but probably not the answer for anything more then just playing catch.

My two sons, 8 and 10, both wanted to do more pitching at home. I wanted a glove that came somewhat broke in already as I would be using it. So far, I have been very pleased with the quality and the fact it basically came broke in. I would highly recommend as a great starter catcher glove!

Got this for my son after he grow out of his last catchers mitt after a good 2 years(he had the renegade). I can’t see paying $150+ for a mitt for a 11y. Found this on sale so I thought he could give it a try. He said it’s better then his renagade. It’s been easy for him to break in. Hoping it last him a few seasons.

I’m a single father and my 14 year old six foot tall son throws so hard that my regular glove can’t protect me any longer. He’s a lefty and we are continuing his progress pitching. It’s scary how hard he throws with major movement on his fastball so I need a mitt not a glove when he is pitching to me. Thank you for keeping your prices low so I can assist in my sons progress.
Ripped apart in less than a month. Only used 8 times. Rawlings failed to support those that can't afford high-end. Sad. Every kid deserves a chance. Impossible with crap products name brands.
Easily broke in within a few practices. Using it for a first time catcher on our Freshman team. If he continues, we may look to upgrade. Not the top of the line, but it is working out great so far.
Much better than the similarly priced Renegade model. The leather is fairly soft, but still needs a little break in. There doesnt seem to be any synthetic leather either which is a big plus. Downside is that the 33 in seems so much bigger than what it is and is a little heavy, so it might be a bit much for a younater to handle. Another bummer was the first one I received had a small tear in the heel, but the replacement seems fine, so QC is a little suspect. Overall, good value mitt.
Excellent entry glove. It took very little time for it to break in to close flat. Soft leather and comfortable fit
I researched catcher’s mitts to find the right size that I needed. I then compared quality and price. This Rawlings Player Prefered mitt fit my needs perfectly. Baseball Savings had the mitt in stock so I ordered it. My order was processed quickly and shipped right away. I received it even earlier than the estimated delivery date. The mitt was exactly what I wanted. It arrived in in perfect condition and met all my expectations. Great service.
I bought this glove model over 54 years ago, and I still have it and use it. The first 5 years I had it, I used it frequently and heavily. Since then, I used it occasionally in pick up games and games of catch with my son and grandson. It has weathered well, and I have never thought I would want another mitt. I have no regrets purchasing this mitt. Thanks Rawlings.
