What’s not to like of the classic new wayfarer, they are stylish and timeless. I got mine polarized. I had this exact model, color, polarized and size for 4 years till I had an accident where I cracked the frame. The first time I purchased them was at the sunglasses hut and I paid $230 they were expensive because they were polarized but worthy every penny and they pay themselves off if you take good care of them. When it came time to shop for a new pair I knew I wanted the same pair, I looked everywhere and they were all selling between $200-$230, till I found them at the online Walmart site for $140. Order them and got them delivered within 3 days. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase.

My concern was not handled professionally as I was originally denied a return and refund. Eventually, upon threatening to file a dispute with my credit card company, I was able to send the sunglasses back for a second time. Not surprisingly, I did not receive my refund until one month later despite Luxottica Group being in receipt of them. I understand that financial losses due to returns of goods is becoming a problem for companies, but from an ethical standpoint, returned goods should not be sold to consumers at full price without disclosure. This is especially true for eyewear as diseases can easily spread. (Additionally, given the amount of inauthentic Ray-Ban products being produced and sold, a dishonest customer could easily purchase an authentic pair from the website and switch it out with an inauthentic pair.)

Awful fitting, you would think that any frame will fit you right but no. I first saw this frame in a store so I tried them on and I loved them but they didn’t have them polarized so I went ahead and ordered them online at Ray-Ban once they arrived they are terrible. One of the templetes is loose the other tight so they fill loose in general while wearing them so they keep sliding down my nose. The temples are too long on the ones I received if the bridge sits in the right place on my nose the arch that sits on your ear surpasses the area where it should rest and they didn’t feel like that in the ones I tried at the store. I dropped them way too many times and no scratches. The clarity and quality of the lenses are amazing. The transition of the progressive reading glasses are the best I have in all my progressive lenses. You have to get over not having the Ray-Ban etching on the lenses. That is a little difficult but having the quality of their frame and these lenses is far worth that loss. They even include those Ray-Ban lenses in the shipment box. How cool is that
I don't know what was up with the ones I received, but I could not believe how bad the construction and materials felt. To start the frames felt cheap (I have 2 pairs of wayfarers already to compare) and the worst issue was a defect with the lens. Each lens shifted inside the frames every time you moved the glasses, creating this weird popping and cracking. They felt as if they were going to break apart at any moment. I returned immediately and bought the same glasses from a sports department store so I could check for flaws, and strangely the same glasses from the store are much better in overall quality, so I just don't know what to think about this. I know I got a faulty pair, but quality control should be much better for a brand like this.
My old Wayfarers lasted me over 12 years - through so many daily activities, outdoor workouts, lawn care and maintenance, beach vacations, amusement park rides, even through learning to waterski! I never leave home without my Ray-Bans. I’ve even got a spare pair of Aviators in my truck. Durable, great sunglasses. Pricey, but when you consider my first (two) pairs have lasted so long, they’re well worth the investment! Highly recommend!

Very disappointed with my recent purchase of the New Wayfarer. I have purchased several pair of this model in the past, and the quality is so much worse now. The frames are the same as Shady Rays or Goodr that can purchased for a fraction of the price! The length and width of the lenses is noticeably larger now too. Some people might enjoy the larger size, but for me it was a negative. I liked how the New Wayfarer was smaller than the classic.The polarization is fine, but the tint was not very dark at all. No good for this Scottsdale sun!Overall I feel completely betrayed by Ray-Ban (Luxottica) for charging so much for an inferior product.
