I went kayaking in Mexico, hit a branch and fell off, and consequently I lost these sunglasses that have travelled around the world with me. I only realised they were gone afterwards and I was truly devastated. In my devastation I went straight away to buy some other model of new sunglasses, thinking they would be better. They are amazing, but it didn’t feel right. I couldn’t connect with them. As the days passed I was feeling more and more sentimental about what was once mine, now at the bed of a Mexican river. As soon as I got home I ordered these again. I couldn’t take it anymore. Now we are reunited and I am excited what new memories we can have together. They are universal and timeless. I've used Aviators since the 1990's. My current official pair, are the Aviator Classic polarised. However, a recent change of motor vehicle which incorporates a heads up display, demonstrated that the polarised lens, isn't necessarily the best option to view the information that's reflected on to the display. I therefore needed to get a non-polarised lens for driving purposes. There wasn't a second choice, it had to be Aviators! I'm happy with the glasses, although still prefer the polarised lens. This is not a product fault, but a necessity to have a decent pair of glasses for driving, as well as being able to benefit by clearly seeing the information reflected on the heads up display. My Ray-Ban 3025 Aviator sunglasses arrived today, and I'm completely satisfied. What I received was undoubtably the REAL Ray-Ban product: packaged in a Ray-Ban box with sticker on the end including the 'Made in Italy' statement and including the Ray-Ban sunglasses case, a small 'manufacturer's information note' paper that is written in no less than 24 languages (!!!) - and I'm not joking (I counted). Plus a small marketing brochure 'The Icons' telling the story of Ray-Ban, and finally a lens cleaning cloth with the Ray-Ban logo. The sunglasses themselves have the Ray-Ban logo etched on the right lens prominently, and very subtly etched on the left lens. So, that's the package. The sunglasses themselves have the Ray-Ban logo etched on the right lens prominently, and very subtly etched on the left lens. So, that's the package. It's as pictured here, and I start with that description because there is always going to be some trepidation at buying something like this online. Will you get The Real Deal, or a cheap knock-off? Well, I purchased mine from Amazon, not from a third-party seller, to reduce that risk, and I am not disappointed. Now to the sunglasses themselves. I think that there are a few things to know, for someone considering Ray-Ban sunglasses: - they come in a very wide variety of frame sizes, lens tints and colors, polarized and non-polarized, and with different frame colors and finishes. If you are not already familiar with these sunglasses and know what you want, then my recommendation is that you first go to the Ray-Ban website and familiarize yourself with those variations, especially if you think that you will want something other than the Traditional Gold Frame, Green Lens sunglass. Once at the Ray-Ban website, select 'customize' at the top, and you'll find yourself on a page where you have the full ability to vary the choices I've summarized below. These variations can all be found on Amazon although navigating through all of the sellers and product pages on Amazon that list the different variations of these sunglasses can be very time consuming and confusing. - For the 3025 Aviator style, the following variations are available: --- There are no less than 35 choices of lenses - 'classic', 'legends', 'gradient', 'mirrored and flash', and 'polarized' --- There are 8 variations in frame color - basic colors of gold and matte gold, and 'trendy' colors of black and 5 others --- There are 5 choices of temple tips (the end of the earpiece) - black or white as basic choices, and brown, beige or transparent also available --- There are a three different sizes available for the Ray-Ban Large Aviator RB3025. THIS IS IMPORTANT: ----------- 58 14 135: the basic standard size is 58 mm lens diameter, 14 mm bridge width, with temple length 135 mm ----------- 55 14 135: slightly smaller lens size, with same bridge width and temple length ----------- 62 14 140: larger lens size and temple length --- There are also further variations to the Aviator sunglass: ----------- Large Aviator II RB3026: only available as 62 14 140 ----------- Small Aviator RB3044: only available as 52 14 135 ----------- Folding Aviator RB3479: available in 55 14 140 and 58 14 145 ----------- Outdoorsman II RB3029 (includes 'brow bar' or 'sweat bar'): available in 62 14 140 ----------- Outdoorsman RB3030 (includes ''brow bar' or 'sweat bar' plus cable temples): available in 58 14 160 ----------- Outdoorsman II Rainbow RB3407 (with 'brow bar' in pink and possibly other color variations): available in 55 14 135 and 58 14 135 ----------- Outdoorsman II Craft RB3422Q (with 'brow bar' and temple pads in genuine hand stitched deer leather): available in 58 14 135 ----------- Shooter RB3138 (with 'brow bar' or 'sweat bar' and a small circle just below the brow bar. Also the lenses are placed closer together than other Aviator models): available in 58 09 135 - once you have figured out what you want, then the complexity is reduced and it's simply a matter of determining which seller is offering the best price. My own choice was to purchase from Amazon, not from a third-party seller, and I actually ordered two different pairs of sunglasses because I wanted to try both the polarized and non-polarized lenses, and the choices I found also had some variation in frame color that I thought would be worth checking out. I therefore purchased for myself, from Amazon, the following two pairs: -... Show more

I’ve bought these sunglasses twice and now my husband has a pair too. They look great- frames aren’t too small or over-sized. They feel light on my face and stay in place. I like the design most of all. With a lot of aviators the bridge over my nose looks strange or off- too high or too wide. These look cool and add a lot style without making me feel like I’m trying g to pull off a trendy frame. The only thing I would not recommend them for is sports. They’re not built to be active sunglasses.... Show more

As far as the Aviator frame goes, you can't really go wrong. However, coming from Ray Ban mirror flash lenses, I was a tad disappointed with these. The blue is on the reverse of the glass, so not really visible to anyone else. This leaves the visible lenses looking a bit dull and boring. I was disappointed with the Chromance technology too, as it didn't enhance colours as vividly as I had imagined, at least not to my eyes on a bright sunny day. The difference was very subtle and not worth paying extra for in my opinion. The polarisation worked as expected, it cut out most of the glare off my pool. If you're after a pair of subtle, grown-up, polarised sunglasses, you will probably like these. If you want to show off a bit, I'd stick with the mirror flash lenses.... Show more

S a legally blind artist these classes are amazing. They kind of readjust to the lighting so you don’t have to be inside without having to take them off and risk of people stealing them lol I personally love how comfortable they are and I can still do my art with them on Which is very very important for me. Will I be buying these product again? It sure is a great investment, especially when you want to protect your eyes from the sun and still be able to use them inside so I definitely recommend. For everyone to buy them. This classes make me feel like a diva lol.... Show more

Broke in 2 months!!!
I bought the gold frame with brown lenses on 7/4 and they were broken by 9/16. The frame around the nose broke off from the main frame while I was simply cleaning off the lenses. I filed a claim with Ray Ban so I could send them back and have them fix them (a simple soldering/welding) back together, but they declined my claim and said“Upon evaluation of your claim, we have determined that the issue was not due to defective material or workmanship. Unfortunately, repair of your damaged eyewear is not an option as this model and its replacement parts are unavailable.”I have no idea what they mean about replacement parts and model not being available (since it doesn’t need a part, but to be welded) - I’m literally looking at them here on Macys.com and ... Lasted years before they scratched
I bought these back in 2015 and they were easily my most worn pair of sunglasses since then. They are comfortable, have timeless style, and they're made in Italy, not China. I put them through absolute hell and to my pleasant surprise they have survived through all of it. I have dropped them onto pavement several times, sometimes directly on the lens and they never once got badly scratched. They've gone through a thunderstorm laying on the sidewalk, submerged in lakes, oceans, and pools, been in my car during blistering summers and frigid winters, and even survived the toddler years with my son. Even through all that they only ever got a few very light scratches on the lenses but were not noticeable when worn. And believe me, I notice scratches because I hate when ... Even through all that they only ever got a few very light scratches on the lenses but were not noticeable when worn. And believe me, I notice scratches because I hate when there's a big distracting scratch or smudge in my line of vision. Finally last month they fell down into my car door compartment and slid back and forth as I drove my car for a week before I realized it was them. By then, they finally succumbed to the dirt in the bottom of my car door compartment. There was a big, ugly scratch right in my line of vision. I was so bummed but it was my fault and honestly, they lasted way longer than they rightfully should have to this point. I didn't even hesitate buying new ones. And I couldn't have bought them at a better time with $50 premium lenses sale so I ended up buying two pairs of aviators, one in green and one in brown, and a pair of Clubmasters as well.
