I purchased this mouse because I wanted something that would function well for everyday use and occasional gaming. I've done about 10 hours of research on mice after my trusty Logitech bit the bullet. I wanted a mouse that was light, comfortable, bluetooth, and good battery life. I tried the Logitech MX Master 3 but that mouse was too heavy and bulky.The Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed ticks all these boxes and then some. The mouse is very sleek and responsive. Clicks are fast and accurate. The scroll wheel has the perfect amount of feedback. Bluetooth has been very reliable for me. And as a programmer I get about 2 months of battery life per AA battery, and that's about 8 hours of use daily.Note for Mac users: you may have to set this mouse up on a Windows machine and save the settings to the mouse as Razer's Synapse app doesn't detect this mouse yet.

I originally bought a wireless Corsair mouse but I didn't care for the way it fit my hand plus the battery life was awful. This thing fits me perfect and the battery life seems to be great. I did not realize until I got it that it takes a double A and is not rechargeable. But after 2 weeks on the same battery,it still shows it as full. The Corsair literally lasted 3 days before it was dead. This mouse is also very lightweight in comparison, very happy so far!
...keep looking. It's a good mouse and does the job. Not what I was expecting though. It feels cheaply made. It's great for the price. I'm just a bit disappointed in that it runs off AA batteries and is not rechargeable like other Razer Mice products I've bought in the past. I feel I was kind of duped into buying a cheap mouse and probably should have just bought the Corsair M65 wireless mouse as it was rechargeable and cheaper at the time.

I turn off the lighting effects to save battery power, and you'll probably want to do so, as well. It will run on rechargeable batteries, which is a big plus, although you'll have to change them more frequently than if you use alkalines, of course. All in all, I'm pretty happy with my Basilisk, despite the Bluetooth pairing issue, and Razer's bullying about creating an account, just to update its firmware. It looks good, it FEELS good, and it works very well for my needs. My refurbished model was fairly inexpensive for a mid-range gaming mouse, and I have no hesitation about recommending a refurbed unit. Buy one, and see for yourself ...
After less than one year, the mouse fell from my desk. A very small fall. The inside pillar that is used to produce the right click broke, and there is no way to repair it. The mouse is now good for the garbage.I did really like this mouse while it was working, but at this price point, a mouse is supposed to be able to withstand a small fall from the desk without being unfixable.Product is definitely not durable and I cannot recommend this.
I bought this mouse mainly for its dual -wireless feature, but it turned out that it is a bit too large for my hand (17 cm in length). I couldn't get a comfortable grip over it, regardless of palm, claw or fingertip -- there was always one part of my hand/wrist that ended up being painful after long use. The mouse is also a bit too heavy with a regular AA battery. I could use the tin foil trick and a triple A battery to get the weight down to acceptable range, but it was the shape of the mouse that pushed me away from it. I really wish Razer could care more on people with small hands, we do really need a small ergo gaming mouse with dual-mode wireless. (yes I know Orochi is there but the shape is really bad, not mention that it is ambi, the grip width is ... I had zero problem with it. Very quick and easy connection with either 2.4GHz or bluetooth. It took at most 5 seconds to wake the mouse up in bluetooth mode, which is quite reasonable.
