The Deathadder v3 is an excellent wired gaming mouse. With satisfyingly clicky optical switches, smooth-to-the-touch plastic, and highly accurate inputs, there is little to complain about and plenty to praise. To start, the size of the mouse is pretty good even if it doesn't work for me. This may seem paradoxical, but most gamer merch is, unsurprisingly, aimed at men and for all the posturing and pandering companies put out in 2023, I've come to expect to be excluded as a woman. My hands run on the smaller size of average (just under 16.5cm in length) but aren't terribly small for a woman, so while I find that many mice tend to be uncomfortably large to hold, bordering even on painful, I do expect that many women may also find this mouse slightly large in the hand. ... That said, the Deathadder v3 is usable even for me, although I feel that it is best suited for those with larger hands and would best be suited for those with male-typical average (7.5"+) to larger hands. Still, larger hands may find the mouse ironically too small. For the adventurous with smaller hands looking to try the DAV3, you may find that in longer gaming sessions the arch impedes long-term use.Moving on, the DAV3 is remarkably plain for the Razer brand. You'd expect the usual gaudy green logo and RGB lighting, but this mouse comes in only a black colorway and has no RGB lighting to speak of. The plastic is smooth to the touch and comfortable to hold, and while the mouse itself is fairly bulky, it manages to be both feather-light and feel well-built. In use, this mouse is easy to glide across a mousepad and, if not for the size, would feel incredibly natural in the hand. Additionally, while I wish that this mouse came in the usual alternative white colorway that many of their peripherals are also offered in, the lack of RGB and the more understated look are a nice perk for those wanting a mouse that doesn't scream "gamer". You could even theoretically bring this into the office and not raise any eyebrows. The only major drawback that comes to mind is that the DAV3 is wired. For some gamers, this is actually a perk. Wired means no fussing with dongles, charging, or latency; and as you'd expect, this mouse had excellent performance and no jumps or jitters while mousing around during gaming and work sessions. On the other hand, it means an extra cable to manage (or for the lazy, an extra cable cluttering your desk), and this specific cable is pretty stiff and kinked and kept its shape out of the box which I found annoying, and while that isn't a dealbreaker, it is something to keep in mind as you cannot avoid using the cable or swap it out.

I also think this is why Razer was able to make the mouse to precise, I know everyone is going Bluetooth now a days but you can’t beat directly wired for so many reasons and the benefits far outweigh the negatives. The bad:The ergonomics are not as advertised, I started to get hand cramps after using the mouse for about 2.5 hours.Overall the Razer DeathAdder V3 is one of the best gaming mouse I have used and has a great blend of fit, feel and precision. This mouse can work for gaming or a business environment since nothing about it screams gamer as other products. My only issue is the long use comfort for the mouse which caused me issues.

It has significantly improved my reaction time and overall performance in intense gaming scenarios. The aesthetic design of the Deathadder v3 Superlight is sleek and elegant. While some may consider it to be slightly understated, I personally appreciate its minimalistic appearance. The mouse exudes a professional and refined look, which aligns perfectly with my preferences. However, I understand that personal tastes may vary, and some users may prefer mice with more extravagant designs featuring LED lights and intricate patterns. This is the third Razer mouse I've owned for gaming and it's the one I'm sticking with.

This, paired with the programmable 30,000-dpi optical sensor makes for one of the most responsive input devices I’ve ever had the pleasure of using.Taking a look at the construction a bit more closely, the first thing that jumps out to me is the lack of RGB LED accent lighting on a Razer product. Over the past decade or so, this has become a bit of a hallmark for the brand; however, with this release, they’ve opted for a more professional and subdued appearance. I think this is a bit of a welcome change, personally, but ultimately, it’s up to individual tastes whether this is a positive or negative shift. As for the construction itself, the DeathAdder features a rigid chassis that doesn’t creak or squeal when heavy pressure is applied. The rigid matte black material also provides a firm grip that never falters, even with a little sweat in the mix. Furthermore, the buttons provide affirmative feedback for every action performed with tactile and satisfying clicks for every action. The DeathAdder features a standard five-button format with right and left-click, a forward and back button on the left side, as well as a clickable scroll wheel. Unfortunately, there is little space for macros or other programmable buttons; however, I’d imagine most who desire that functionality would opt for something existing more squarely in the gaming lane, like a Razer Naga.I’d also like to note that this is the wired model; there’s also a wireless model available. Personally, I prefer wired mice. I know that advancements in latency reduction have been outstanding recently, but it just doesn’t feel right if my mouse doesn’t have a cord. That said, the cord on this mouse is a nicely braided fabric USB Type A cable approximately six feet in length. I found that this was more than enough length for my configuration, but it’s worth noting if you have a more demanding use case in mind.Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this mouse and it will continue to be my daily driver until something fails on it. The construction is outstanding, inspiring lots of confidence in its physical integrity. On top of that, it’s easily the most responsive mouse I’ve used in some time. While differences in performance between mice nowadays are typically subtle and can somewhat depend on other factors (monitor response time, refresh rate, etc.), something about this mouse just felt particularly “snappy.” Aesthetically speaking, I find the mouse to be quite sleek and complimentary to my setup. In conclusion, I’m very happy with the performance of the DeathAdder V3 so far. I am unable to find any notable shortcomings in it, and I’m excited to see how far it will take me.

On initial grip the mouse feels good but the longer I use it the more unnatural it feels. The mouse is lower on the right and higher on the left so the top leans towards the right which then places the tips of my last two fingers near or on the mouse pad. Depending on the size and depth of your hand this may or may not be an issue for you. Also the mouse is totally smooth so there aren’t any rubberized pads or a thumb indent to help with the grip. After long or intense gaming sessions I find the smooth finish less appealing and wish Razer would have included some grip pads for those who wanted to add them. The mouse is extremely light and moves smoothly across my mouse pad with little effort. The side buttons are perfectly placed but the scroll wheel sits a tad higher than most which may bother some gamers. The responsiveness of the mouse is great due to the high dpi rate and the polling options which are available via the Razer Synapse software. In the Synapse app you can configure the mouse buttons and functions, set the performance using the dpi and polling rates and calibrate the mouse. Note that the DPI switch is on the bottom of the mouse and its not easy to access which means no quick changes during gaming sessions unless you reconfigure an existing button to perform this function.

Additionally, the mouse is equipped with a flexible and lightweight cable, designed to minimize drag and allow for smooth and unhindered movements during gameplay.30K Sensor for Precise Tracking:One of the notable upgrades in the DeathAdder v3 is its 30K optical sensor, capable of delivering exceptional tracking accuracy. With a maximum sensitivity of 30,000 DPI (dots per inch), gamers have precise control over cursor movement, allowing for seamless navigation and enhanced aiming accuracy. This heightened level of sensitivity empowers gamers to execute precise movements and react swiftly in fast-paced gaming scenarios. The 30K sensor's advanced tracking capabilities enable it to adapt to different gaming environments, ensuring optimal performance regardless of the surface it is used on.Wired Cable for Reliable Connection:The DeathAdder v3 features a wired cable, offering a reliable and consistent connection between the mouse and the gaming device. The software allows users to customize button assignments, sensitivity levels, and lighting effects, tailoring the mouse to individual preferences. With profile management and cloud syncing capabilities, users can easily access their preferred settings across multiple devices, ensuring a consistent experience. Razer Synapse also provides advanced features such as macro creation, enabling users to create and assign complex commands to the programmable buttons, further enhancing gameplay efficiency.Pros:1. Matte finish may show fingerprints and require frequent cleaning.5. The scroll wheel might be slightly noisy during use, which could bother some users. Conclusion:The Razer DeathAdder v3 gaming mouse, with its upgraded 30K sensor and wired connection, offers gamers a compelling package of precision, comfort, and customization. The ergonomic design, advanced sensor, and extensive customization options make it a reliable and immersive peripheral. While it may have some minor drawbacks, such as limited left-handed support and a slightly stiff cable, the overall performance and feature set of the DeathAdder v3 outweigh these limitations. Whether you're a casual gamer or a competitive eSports enthusiast, the DeathAdder v3 is a reliable choice that can enhance your gaming experience.
The Razer DeathAdder V3 is incredibly light. At 59g it's probably the lightest mouse I have ever used and compared to my wireless mice, it feels like a feather. I have to confess I have a bias for wireless mice (clean desktops) but a week of gaming with the DeatherAdder I have a new appreciation for the speed and precision of wired mice. First off, Razer have given the mouse a long, very long braided cable. It doesn't twist, snag, or tangle on the desktop. It also moves smoothly - so on Fortnite and playing Spider-Man PC, I didn't feel disadvantage by a wired mouse. The DPI sensitivity is amazing, you can go up to 30,000 which is far beyond what I would ever need.Buttons are super responsive. The DPI sensitivity is amazing, you can go up to 30,000 which is far beyond what I would ever need.Buttons are super responsive. Razer use optical switches, that have a firm click but are fast and responsive. You get 4 buttons in total (not including scroll) and these can be mapped and macro'd using the Synapse software. I think the Razer Synapse software is the best and cleanest in the business. I love the scroll wheel, it has a clear notch click when you scroll and the ribbed wheel is easy to grip in game play. If you're looking for RGB effects, the DeathAdder is not for you - this mouse looks like a standard mouse (aside from a faint black on black Razer logo). I don't mind it doesn't have RGB, it's not something I want on a mouse because your hand always covers the RGB anyway. The only (minor) complaint is that the DPI button is located under the mouse. While you can adjust it in the Synapse Software, I just wish Razer and others would put DPI controls on the top so that it's easier to change on fly in a game. You can customize in the Synapse app what each DPI press gets you, so you're not locked at geometric progression and Razer color code it so you an map - like I did, red to you default 1200 DPI and also limit the stages (I limit to 2) but I just wish the button didn't require a mouse flip.

This is SO light, and while I was afraid the weight would affect gaming performance, it seems not to have that effect; if anything, the fatigue of fast-action FPS games goes away with a lighter mouse. The accuracy of an FPS game is adjustable, and the mouse supports five levels of sensitivity - with a default of 1600 dpi is plenty for everyday use. In my experience, the mouse was a delight to play some fast-action games.I played around with the Razer Synapse 3 software which allows the user to set preferences for all Razer products, and in the case of the mouse, allow for storing macros and shortcuts in the mouse for quicker access. The software is not necessary to use the mouse, but it brings some advanced features, including connection with other light automation and chroma RGB automation, to your gaming experience. If you are using the Chroma RGB on your desktop or other gaming accessories, the Synapse 3 is a must-have.Overall feel of the mouse is excellent and well worth it if you are looking for a quality gaming mouse with no frills. The basic black mouse has only one LED to identify the various DPI modes, and that is about it. It's quite stealthy for a gaming mouse

Sure, there's no fancy RGB lighting, but the performance is what counts.Overall build=================================If you've seen previous generations of the DeathAdder, there aren't many surprises just tweaks. The outer shell is a smooth matte finish without any glossy parts like the Logitech G502. This V3 is super light at just 59 grams and glides easily thanks to Razer's SpeedFlex cable. There are no lighting options since this mouse is all about functionality. The mouse buttons (L, R, sides) are all clicky as you'd expect, and on the underside there's a DPI button with a nice light. Arguably, it'd be nicer if it was up top, but you can still control everything via Razer's Synapse software.Performance=================================If you're choosing a wired mouse over wireless ones, you're typically doing it for cost, performance, or both. A wired mouse will never leave you high and dry since it doesn't need batteries and it can technically support higher polling rates since it can pass data nearly lag-free compared to wireless technologies (2.4 ghz or Bluetooth). Razer says this wired one supports a polling rate of 8000hz while the wireless one (v3 Pro) can only poll at 1000/4000hz (with/without Hyperspeed USB dongle).Say what you want about Razer's Synapse software, but on most recent PCs it won't drag you down and gives you a wealth of customization options including polling rate, customizing controls, lift-off distance, and more. Serious gamers will spend time in here to perfect their setup. I'm no pro, but I do prefer higher DPI/sensitivity overall and I don't worry too much about customizing buttons if it's not an RPG that requires a ton of inputs. If you're looking for a mouse to support that, you might want to look at other options with more buttons even though Razer does support HyperShift which gives you additional customization options. As a fast-twitch gaming mouse, I'm not sure if you could ask for more. The light weight is perfect and the SpeedFlex cable is seriously one of the best. Compared to my Logitech G502 (which I love), the cable is "barely there" and helps make this feel as effortless to move as a wireless mouse. Seriously the cable is great! The smooth PTFE pads underneath really help the mouse move smoothly on a desktop or dedicated mouse pad.I don't think my G502 is heavy by any means, but the DeathAdder V3 is super-light and easy to whip around in fast action games or the battle royale of your choice.FYI - there's no tilt on the mouse wheel. This is a standard clicky scroll wheel with textured rubber for grip. Conclusion=================================Sometimes, performance trumps all else and I could see why serious gamers would choose this mouse. It doesn't light up and it's wired... deal breakers for a lot of people! However, this is one of the best wired mice I've ever used. The SpeedFlex cable is so light, it's like using a wireless mouse! The lack of extra buttons can be a good thing if you're playing a focused game where extra buttons would just get in the way. Lastly, the ultra-lightweight design means that whipping this thing around for hours on end is no problem. I would recommend this mouse for serious gamers that prefer performance and substance over style.
