The build of the keyboard is great. Feels great, linear keys feel great. Definitely takes a few to get used to due to the sensitivity of the keys. LEDs are great, wristpad is wonderful. I got it on sale for about $130 when I ordered it which was a nice price. Regular MSRP is ridiculous. I wouldn't wish anyone to get this keyboard despite how good it may sound above. The analog feature is HORRENDOUS. There are many older games that have no compatibility for having both a keyboard and game controller plugged in at the same time. If that's the case, the game is unplayable unless you manually unplug your keyboard or your controller (depending on your use case). There is NO way to disable the analog feature. I upgraded my old keyboard to the Huntsman V2 and I am so happy I did. I purchased the purple switch version which is the mechanical clicky type keys. these are quality keys that have a slight textured feel that give confidence when typing and helps stop your fingers slipping. It has an aluminium top giving strength and style. The keyboard is fully programmable allowing custom settings and macros to help your gaming go to the another level. It has a media centre area of buttons allowing you to control your music whilst in-game a great feature. The keyboard features RAZER's CHROMA RGB colour allowing you to highlight only the buttons you want for the game your playing or you can have the whole keyboard as a pulsating rainbow on your desk. This version is the wired version and has a tethered manufacturer USB cable but its is braided and feels strong and well made. Oh if you have any other RAZER CHROMA RGB items they can all be programmed to have the same colour schemes. All in all I am very happy with this keyboard. I am using it daily now as its such a joy to use. I love the old fashioned sound of the clickity clack when typing if your don't then try to other key styles like the yellow. I highly recommend this keyboard.
Not gonna lie, I watched some review videos about this keyboard before I decided to buy it. I've been a Cherry MX Brown guy for a while because I like the mechanical switches but I dislike the clicky switches. The audio in the videos did not do the justice to how quiet the typing experience on this keyboard actually is.As with other mechanical keyboards in this price bracket it's solidly built. I like the minimal body design as it makes cleaning under the keycaps a breeze without even having to remove them. The inclusion of a volume wheel and dedicated media buttons instead of a function key combination is awesome. On the software side of things, it uses the usual Razer suite. Chroma and Synapse mostly but with the option to use more of them if you want to. I'm ... MoreNot gonna lie, I watched some review videos about this keyboard before I decided to buy it. Chroma and Synapse mostly but with the option to use more of them if you want to. I'm not sold on the macro functionality, though the keyboard does support it, due to the lack of dedicated macro keys but the option is there for those that want it.And the added bonus, of course, is the soft wrist rest. It's one of the most comfortable I've used in a long time. My only (very minor) gripe is that I would have liked the magnets that hold it to the keyboard to be a touch stronger. I find that from time to time it has a tendency to slide out of place laterally and the combination of the rubberized feet and magnets help counteract it to some degree, but it still happens.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Up until now I've used Roccat products for both mice and keyboards but, after many ongoing issues with their software, I can honestly say I won't be looking back. I would say I'm pleasantly surprised but it doesn't really come as a surprise to me. There's a reason so many people use Razer products.
This keyboard is so awesome! First off, I love the light effects and the colors are so mesmerizing! If you download the Razer Synapse program, you can fully customize the lighting effects to whatever your heart desires. I love the twinkle effect the best with aqua and fushia. Soooo pretty! The clicks on this keyboard are so satisfying. The spacing is great, as well. The keyboard is great quality and very sturdy so it doesn't slide or tilt. The wrist pad has the perfect amount of cushioning and makes my typing experience much more comfortable. Overall, this is probably the best keyboard I have ever used and I would definitely recommend it to others.
I've been using this keyboard for about 2 weeks so far. Overall, I've been liking it. My previous keyboard was a Corsair K70 with Cherry Brown switches that I ruined after I spilled Jollybee gravy into it. They keys are very clicky, similar to Cherry Blue's but with a bit less activation force required. They are definitely louder than the Browns I had before but I kind of like the clickiness. Highly responsive. The lights are customizable through Razor synapse but I don't really use them much. I find that the customization for Corsair is easier to use though. Controls are comparable to my previous keyboard in that it also has volume and media controls. One nice plus for this over the K70 is the easily detachable and plush arm rest. Was looking for a nice full size keyboard with decent key travel for work and school. Tried the huntsman mini (the 60% version of this keyboard) and loved how smooth but quiet the switches were on this laptop. Ended up grabbing the full size version. In the box, it comes with the keyboard itself and the wrist rest, which was a very nice addition as it prevents any straining from typing. The cord it comes with is attached to the actual board itself which was a little disappointing, as the TKL version has a usb c to usb a cable in the box instead of having it hard wired on.I have found the 4 knobs at the top of the board very useful as well, and use them frequently to change the volume/brightness. I've been using the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog for about three weeks now. I used a $60 ThermalTake Meka keyboard for 10+ years (black linear mechanical switches) and decided it was time to update my peripherals. I opted for the Huntsman V2 Analog because (1) it has linear switches, which is what I am familiar with, and (2) it seemed to be one of the better keyboards out there with additional functionality thanks to the analog capability. I will say that it took a little getting used to at first, but now I am really loving it. Sure, you can probably save $200 and get a cheaper keyboard that works just fine and probably has decent build quality. But if you want to treat yourself and you like linear switches, this is a very solid keyboard.Pros: Solid feel, solid build ... MoreI've been using the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog for about three weeks now. Sure, you can probably save $200 and get a cheaper keyboard that works just fine and probably has decent build quality. But if you want to treat yourself and you like linear switches, this is a very solid keyboard.Pros: Solid feel, solid build quality. I *really* like the included wrist rest. The analog switches allow you to customize the actuation point for all of your switches from 1.5mm to 3.6mm which is a big reason why I opted for this keyboard. The Razer Synapse software used to customize the keyboard seems to have good functionality and is easy to use. The RGB is on the dimmer side, but I didn't want a bright and flashy keyboard to begin with. There is one USB 3.0 pass-through port located on the left side. I haven't had any issues with ghosting and I expect this keyboard to last me a long time.Cons: It' is pricy. The analog functionality is heavily advertised but it takes work to implement effectively, not all games support it, and it's difficult to use without bottoming out your keys immediately. You might also experience some trouble using an actual controller with this keyboard plugged in because Windows treats it as an Xbox 360 controller (due to the analog functionality). There are some settings that can be tweaked to get controllers to work while this keyboard is plugged in and Razer Synapse explains how to do this, but it might still take some tinkering to get it set up properly. The point of all this is just to say that, at the moment, the analog functionality is mainly just used to customize your actuation points, not for actual gameplay.
I am not a heavy gamer. I play one or two games a couple of times a week for a few hours. I have used this keyboard every day for about one month. Since I do a lot of non-gaming-related typing every day. It is the best keyboard that I have ever used. The first thing I noticed is how high the quality is. The keys seem very durable.
