Razer Kaira Pro for Xbox Wireless Gaming Headset

$50.00

(332 reviews)

Experience premium audio performance with the future of Xbox. The Razer Kaira Pro is a wireless headset for the Xbox Series X S that also supports mobile Xbox gaming. It features Razer drivers and an excellent headset microphone that delivers superior sound and voice chat for unmatched console and mobile gaming. Thanks to Razer's patented design, engineers have tuned each driver to reproduce high, mid, and low frequencies individually, resulting in clearer highs and rich bass. This wireless headset also includes titanium-coated membranes that allow you to hear every word with absolute clarity. The directional microphone of the detachable 9.9mm mic minimizes side noise compared to a cardioid microphone, capturing your voice more realistically due to its low-frequency response and open housing. To provide comfort during gaming marathons, Razer's breathable fabric reduces sweating and heat buildup by minimizing contact with your skin, while the ultra-soft foam ensures added comfort. Inside this wireless headset, there is a second microphone that operates independently of the Razer HyperClear Supercardioid microphone, making it convenient for conversations on the go, whether you are gaming or making calls. Simply press and hold the button on the right earcup to pair your headset. You can double-tap the button to switch between four EQ settings, allowing you to amplify the footsteps of your opponents in FPS mode or enhance the low frequencies in bass mode. Experience lifelike surround sound as this headset reproduces sounds with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring nothing in the game is missed and giving you a competitive edge for an immersive gaming experience.

Conversely, if I turn off the xbox the headset will automatically turn off even if I am connected to my phone which is just mind-boggling. When it works, it is fine. My speech seems to be clear and the microphone doesn't have to be too close to my mouth. Reading about it is very impressive, but it is so horrendously unreliable. I wouldn't buy from them again.

Volume is good, with minimal distortion, however I found connection issues when using the app for controlling the equalizer and other customizations. Headset could be more comfortable if the head band had thicker padding and covered a little more area on top of the head. Ear cups did a good job covering my ears but I found them to be a little loose. I have an average size head and felt the cups could use a little more clamping force. Overall sound was good and could be modified in the app directly from the Xbox. Positional accuracy was very good when using Dolby Atmos. Battery life is acceptable and as advertised. Since Black Friday is going on wanted to share my experience. Have had these since March of 2022 and I have to say these are hands down the best headphones under $100 when on sale, they are a steal! At full price I feel for $30 more you should opt for the new Nova 7x by Arctis. Pros - Sound Quality - Ease of use (Built for Xbox so there is a razer xbox app in the xbox store for tuning) - Amazing FPS, pair this with the free Microsoft Sonic or purchase Dolby Atmos and you have full spacial hearing - Mic is awesome, Team can always here me even when I whisper, it does pick up background noise as well so don't annoy your friends with music in the background Cons - Connection, at times the connection randomly drops for no reason at all, they just disconnect for a few ... MoreSince Black Friday is going on wanted to share my experience. It's very annoying especially when playing something like MW2 because you lose that edge. I have yet to figure out what causes the drop - Noise Canceling, it's pretty good at blocking out most noises but if you live in a noisy city you will 100% here the trash trucks, traffic, etc. If you sit close to a window that is, if you are already pretty well isolated then these are perfect ( Parents you might have to go tap your kids on the shoulder to get their attention ) Overall these are great cans, at $90 when on sale. As mentioned at full price there are already other great competitors but at $90 there is no comparison. If you are thinking on passing on these don't. If you have an extra $70 to spare go for the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 Max, those are hands down the best under $200 cans when on sale lastly is money is no object, buy the Arctis Nova Pros (Wired or Wireless) Hands down the best gaming headphones in existence at the moment. Happy Holidays!

Great headphones with a few minor downsides
22 August 2022

Pros: Fantastic battery life + fast charging. (with the haptic HyperSense and lights turned off) Comfortable for long sessions with glasses High quality materials and overall build quality Easy connection/set up to PS5/PC/Phone Strong connection even through walls. From my experience and use case I've kept my old headset and just used the Razer for my PS5 as I believe the sound quality and volume is not quite as good as the Turtle Beach headset. The HyperSense feature is a cool trick but hardly worth buying this headset for. I Found it to be distracting and not useful to the games I play. Maybe for FPS games it might be more useful. I would recommend this headset

Kevin's review of Razer Kaira Pro Wireless Gaming Headset - Black
20 February 2023

Pros: It sounds great. Really full and deep sounds. Everything sounds as it should. The RGB lights are a nice gimmick but I don’t stream or anything and you can’t see them when they’re on. The mic is really clear for other people to hear you. My favourite part is how well it’s built with metal parts but still being really light. My previous headsets snapped and were much heavier. Cons: Sound is great but compared to my previous headset it is also more “cluttered” so playing FPS games sounds great like a “movie” but also harder to pull out individual sounds like footsteps. The mute button on the headset is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The chat / game slider is only a slider. I prefer being able to control each individually.

Luxe Headphones

The Razer Kaira Pro is a black headset with green accents that matches the color of the Xbox systems. While it totes as being a headset for Xbox, you can technically use it with anything that connects to bluetooth. It features two plush, comfy headphones, a detachable microphone and a lux braided charging cord. The headphones feature the razor logo that changes a variety of colors while in use- from green to purple to blue to yellow etc. I mean, they look really cool. But, they’re just as functional as they are stylish. The ear cups twist at a 45 degree angle making it extremely easy to take them on and off. Taking them out of the package, I was very impressed by the super clean and sleek design. It truly felt like I was opening up a luxury item. These are the most comfortable headphones that I’ve ever worn. They have breathable, memory foam air cushions. I love how easy the mic is to detach- it just plugs into a jack. It was extremely easy to pair my headphones with my Xbox as well as my phone via Bluetooth when I just wanna listen to music. Another fun feature, is that all of the controls are on the ears in the headset itself. One ear features the power button, a mic mute switch and a volume dial that beeps when you’ve reached maximum volume. The other ear features a Bluetooth button and a game/chat balance wheel to increase the in-game volume and decrease the voice chat volume or vice versa. The Razer HyperClear Supercardoid Mic gives you crystal clear talk sound. This is an awesome pair of headphones that are super functional and stylish at the same time! This is for that next level gaming!

Nice headset but far from perfect

I will start by saying I bought this headset on sale, so I didn’t pay full MSP. They are a comfortable headset. The mic works good as well. I see some reviews saying it wasn’t great, but I was told it sounded good. The issue I have is it does cut in and out the odd time. You will find other reviews complaining about this. This can be annoying at times. My turtle beach wireless headsets on PS4 Pro never cut out. The sound quality when not cutting out is great. The lights on the unit are a nice gimmick, but honestly its worth shutting them off to gain battery life. The software you download on the xbox to control headset settings is straight forward. Really Great with a FATAL Flaw

The headset works exactly as advertised 99% of the time. In fact they are better than they're advertised as most of the time. I use them as my headphones for walking around the house, I use them for watching movies and the sound quality up and down the frequencies is amazing. Problem is the way the headset connects to the Xbox. It connects using the same accessories function as the xbox controllers and remote controls. While this is an advantage being able to just connect straight to the console, no USB dongles, no wires, and all native, it also creates an intermittent distortion that cannot be remedied. It turns all your audio into a scratchy jumble to the point you can't make out what people in your party chat are saying to you. If you're looking for a competitive "PRO" gaming headset, this ain't it.

Solid mic, good build, good sound.
21 November 2022

I needed a pair of wireless headphones that had a solid mic, these have provided exactly that. Pros: - Sound is really good, just make sure to mess around with the EQ settings in the Razer app (on Xbox). - Build is pretty good, it's comfy and my ears don't feel cooked after a session. I'm not a fan of the green but it's not like I'm looking at them while I play, so not a big deal. The detachable mic is very handy. - It has a dedicated headphones app on Xbox, no other Xbox headset provides that. Cons: - Absolutely not worth the price, while it is comfy and a good build, it's still cheap and $200 isn't justified. Get it for $120 if you can. - Sometimes the audio gets choppy for no reason, while I have been able to eliminate the issues myself, I've heard users report long term audio issues, so keep that in mind. All in all, I'm happy with it. I wish I didn't have to buy an extra headset in the first place, since I love my XM4's, but that's the way it is nowadays. 4/5

The headset is fine, but worth $200? Idk. The build quality is pretty solid despite it feeling like a cheap material. It’s relatively comfortable and light, a little tight at first but that gets better with continued use. My biggest issue is with connectivity. I’ve used it with the Series X and it connects well and the app allowing you to customize its settings is cool but, and maybe this is a problem with Xbox wireless technology in general, it tends to have poor connection with sounds pulsing. Like cutting in and out basically, idk really weird. Also you can’t turn the headset on without turning your Xbox on, which for me isn’t an issue but some might find it to be. Also the Bluetooth was one of the major reasons I bought this headset so I could use ot for both my Xbox and PC but apparently BT isn’t as far along as I thought. The headset sounds great through Bluetooth, a little delayed but that’s normal with BT but as soon as you try using the mic through BT the sound quality drops abysmally. Like unusually quality when it need the mic on Bluetooth. I ended up purchasing the Microsoft wireless adapter it was so unusable through Bluetooth. In conclusion, decent headset in some areas, but really falls short in others.
