Keep in mind these can not be folded, and can be difficult to carry if you're out walking without a bag. The sound is good after you have set it up with the app. Microphone is alright. Colour variety for the lights is fine.Because these are Bluetooth and in no way wired, you will have issues with audio if you use them as a headset regularly and not just as headphones. Use a separate microphone, like your webcam, laptop microphone, or a plug-in one, if you are multitasking.

Avoid at all costs, buy any other brand.

These broke after less than a year of minimal use. I mainly used them for zoom meetings during covid. People would constantly complain that my mic was too quiet or sounded weird despite fiddling with the settings and repositioning the mic. The software UI is unnecessarily complex. Now the cord is messed up and slight movement causes it to disconnecct. These mostly sat on my desk so the wear and tear is not reasonable, especially when you consider the price tag. I should have bought Logitech.

I was really excited when I purchased this headset to receive it - my old wireless headset was great but the battery life had slowly deteriorated. When this arrived, I was expecting a reasonable quality gaming headset I could use for casual gaming with friends. This DOES NOT WORK WELL with PC. I needed to grab a USB 5.0 adapter to get it to work even slightly well with my PC, and even then it is clearly designed with portable tech like smartphones in mind. The sound quality is poor at best, and I needed to sift through a lot of settings to allow use of voice chat and game audio at the same time. With this setting, I can't use the inbuilt mic which eliminates half my use for a wireless headset.Sadly I've already disposed of the packaging (curse my enthusiasm) so ... MoreI was really excited when I purchased this headset to receive it - my old wireless headset was great but the battery life had slowly deteriorated. As a long-time Hello Kitty fan, I needed to get them! They are adorable and the build quality meets my expectations.Out of the box, the speakers lack bass and sound tinny, but you can fix this by downloading the Razer Synapse app and customizing your settings there (Windows only). You can also customize the RGB lighting but it hasn't worked with the app so I need to spend more time figuring that out. After reading the reviews I knew these weren't going to be THE BEST sound headphones but I got it for looks so I knew what I was getting myself into. So far, it's meeting my expectations.

The seller was HORRIBLE and so were the headphones.First, the headphones are HORRIBLE quality. There is no bass. I tried it with overwatch and they sound so bad, like I'm not even overreacting, they are actually terrible. They didnt show up on my razer snypse even though it is the most recent update. It kept disconnecting randomly. I have never had such horrible headphones. They are NOT worth the price that the seller is selling them for. A day after I ordered the headphones, I randomly got a refund for them, and then about 10 minutes later, the seller claimed there was a refund "by accident". They then told me to pay again or else they would INTERCEPT MY PACKAGE. I said I could not pay for them AGAIN because I did not get my refund yet (it would take 3-5 days), and I did not have any extra money to spend on them since I used my christmas money on them. They then said that they were going to intercept my package, due to an issue on THEIR SIDE that I had NOTHING to do with. I then went through 5 hours of trying to talk to the seller and bestbuy help. Finally I got in contact with the manager, and said I could pay for them after I get my refund, and I will get my package as scheduled (after many requests from the seller I finally got it). But then of course, the headphones were crap.In conclusion, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. If you want these bad headphones for some reason (maybe because they're cute), just get them on the original razer website since this seller overpriced them and has horrible service. Thanks for reading, I hope this helped!

FOR PHONES, NOT FOR PC GAMING

The boxing was set very nicely and everything was very beautifully packaged. Took out the headphones, they looked absolutely beautiful. Then I put them on and the problems started..The tension on the headset was near unbearable at first. They were crushing my head! I took them off and had to stretch them out for a good 5 minutes before they weren't completely crushing my skull (which they still ended up very pressurized on my head during my 1 day use of them)Turned em on, they sounded pretty ok, except they sounded like I was trying to read the sound, as if the sound was in front of me and not covering the full speakers. Ended up downloading the Razor app that apparently you HAVE to have downloaded if you want to change anything. Turning on the base boosting option within the app helped, and gave a much better sound, and the gaming mode helped with the audio not being as delayed as some headphones (still a bit of delay but noticeably different. You must also download the RGB app just to turn off the RGB so the battery doesn't drain so badly (didn't experience the headphones enough to have them die though). Not really a problem though, as this IS a phone headset so you should have a phone. Then I tried them on my pc...First, I connected them. I remembered that I saw a review that said when they were in a discord call, everything else would shut off and all you could hear was discord (I am on discord 24/7 so this was a very important problem I needed to test out).I paired them to Bluetooth which wasn't horrible, connected pretty fast for Bluetooth, turned on some music and hopped into a discord call....the Spotify stopped...thought "hey, maybe its just a Spotify thing, im sure I could just listen to youtube instead...no audio on any other application than discord..I thought again, "Hey maybe its just a discord thing. I need these for streaming so might as well try them with OBS"...setting the headphone mic (which was needed for when I stream VR related games) shut off all other audio INCLUDING THE GAMES I WAS TRYING TO STREAM.It ended up being either 1. I use the headset only as headphones, the audio was decent enough to use everyday and I use a hyper x quadcast anyways, just would have to use my Rift S mic, or 2. listen to either no audio, or really REALLY horrible audio and be able to use the mic, which was not worth it.(I will mention here in case anyone comes here trying just to use the headset. you need to go to control panel - hardware and sound - devices and printers, razer kraken bt kitty edition - services, and click on HANDSFREE TELEPHONY and click apply to be able to hear your discord/obs and everything else, though it will disable the mic unless you click it again and restart your computer)I ended up returning it NOT EVEN 24 HOURS AFTER I BOUGHT THEM WITH A 3 YEAR GEEK SQUAD PLAN.PLEASE, DO NOT BUY THESE THINKING THEY WILL BE A GOOD REPLACEMENT FOR YOUR OLD CHEAP PC HEADSETS!!! THESE HEADPHONES ARE REALLY ONLY FOR PHONES! I just picked up a Logitech G535 instead, 100% better for near same price, way more comfy, and the mic works way better, though is not Bluetooth.

Hannah's review of Razer Kraken BT Headset Kitty Edition - Quartz
11 January 2022

Pros: I've wanted this headset for ages! It's super cute and I love that you can customise the RGB colours. The sound quality is amazing and you can control the volume from the headset itself which is awesome. I like to move around and often forget I'm actually attached to my switch or laptop so with these I don't have that problem! I can walk off across the room and still be able to hear my show or any audio from my game. I love them!Cons: I haven't been able to use the microphone purely because I didn't realise the switch doesn't connect for Bluetooth mics at the moment but that's the only downside I have for this product and it's not even about the product itself! They're just all round really great headphones, highly recommend!

I've had nothing but issue after issue after issue since about December of 2021 with Razer headsets. I recieved the Razer BT Kitty headset for Christmas to take over for my wired Razer headset and that's when issues began. On both of my computers, the BT headset consistently disconnects and reconnects. Software, firmware all up to date an both machines. With my new PC, the BT headset didn't even show up in Synapse AT ALL. So I decide to come back to the BT headset another time and go back to my wired headset. Well I began to have issues of another application dropping my audio output AND input and initially had thought it was just the other application. Well I began to have issues of another application dropping my audio output AND input and initially had thought it was just the other application. However, the audio drops more recently began happening outside of the application even being open/running. So I decided to try a different audio output device outside of my regular speakers---I tried wired headphones AND my AirPods, and my audio issues no longer occurred. Which made me realize, it was not the other application causing the issue---it's been RAZER products all along---specifically the headsets. As of 2 days ago I decided to give the BT headset another shot. So I updated Synapse, made sure ALL firmware and software updates were applied and retried the headset. It finally registered in Synapse and seemed to be working ok. However, I began having issues of other periphrials cutting out completely! My keyboard, mouse, stream deck and headset---all would cut out at random and started happening frequently. I've since uninstalled Synapse and don't have the headsets connected and the issues have stopped. It's incredibly frustrating because I didn't have issues with my wired headset until recently, and with as expensive as the BT headset was, I shouldn't have to confirm ALL this extra stuff is in place. So now I have TWO headsets that cost well over $100 each that are cute paperweights for me. Razer is giving the run around with 20 million questions and can't return these as A- it's been too long and B- headsets aren't accepted back due to COVID.

I was so excited when I got these headphones but turns out there were so many problems that came with it. When I connect my headset to my pc, the stereo sound does not work unless I disable the mic. There is another mode called the hands free mode which does work while using the mic but the audio is terrible quality and I cant stand it. There is no way that I can use the stereo sound without having to disable my mic. Not only that, every single time I connect my headset to my pc there's always an issue. Sometimes the audio does not work at all or it just doesn't connect. I have to restart my pc multiple times for it to work and it is extremely annoying. I tried everything including updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, using the charging cable but it will not recognise my headphones at all. Although there are heaps of problems, I am still going to keep these headphones as I love the aesthetic of it. It is extremely cute and the light up ears are nice.
