I have only been using these for half a day so far.I am impressed with the Version 3 model as the headband is made out of steel not plastic. My previous set were V2 (non Hypersense model) and the plastic headband snapped on me so it's good that Razer have rectified this.My previous headphones didn't have the haptic feedback like my these ones I now have, and I am absolutely loving the feedback. The Hypersense feedback makes the gaming experience so much more realistic. Evening listening to music it's great. The sound is clear and crisp also.I haven't got much to complain about yet. I am liking these so far.They are a good tight fit on my head and a bit tight around my ears, but like new shoes. I'm sure they will adjust soon enough.

Awesome fps experience

After fixing all problems with activation i can wright about this device.i was surprised with quality of surround sound, in EFT i can exactly tell where is enemy and distance. Quality of sound is better than u expect from budget gaming headphones. The only problem i detected is that when u turn THX with THX program it works much better than turning it in Synapse app. I don't know how u made it but when u use Synapse app u also have to activate somekind of sonic or dolby Surround audio, because without them sound literally doesn't work. It's very weird but still, quality is good. Just fix this problem with thx activation, Better let everyone use THX soft not synapse

Good headphones, horrible softwear

These headphones caught my eye due to their comfort, looks, and incredible sound systems. I bought them a while ago and they were great at first, I didn't realize they didn't come with bluetooth, so you can forget wireless headphones on mobile. However, the softwear is overall not very good. The USB quit on me, low power notifications are confusing and aren't clear. And one of the sides of the headphones isn't even working and I've only had this for a month or so with no damage (that I've noticed) done. I wouldn't reccomend this to gamers.

Great affordable buy

I first bought a pair of these headphones for myself to take my online classes with. They seemed like the best choice that were in stock at the store. They work great, so much that my 2 teenage sons asked for me to buy them each a pair for when they are gaming on the computer.They sound amazing. The mic is clear.Only problem was when first hooked up for some reason with all of them, there was a need to update drivers in windows a couple days after installing them. It made it seem like the head set actually broke but luckily my kids know all about pc’s

HyperSense is new

I am am audiophile and use high fidelity audio equipment for most of my audio requirements, so my opinion might be unfair on the audio quality aspect.Build Quality: 5/5Comfort: 4/5Materials: 4/5 - Some plastics and pleatherSound Quality: 2/5 - Expected more from THX and virtual surround, bass tones are lacking. Mid and high tones are OKHyperSense: Interesting new dynamic on audio. For some gaming and movies, it's great, for some, it's annoyingConclusion: Wish it had a removable cable for longevity, but in general, this is a great value for money purchase. It's comfortable for long periods, with an acceptable level of sound quality for the price.

This is a junk product

The headphones didn't last more then 5 months before the mic started to go out. and less then 6 months before the head band broke in 2 places. called razer to get them replaced. they said I need to send a photo of the brake. they emailed me I replied with the photos. this was Thursday. Saterday they tell me they haven't heard back about my ticket and I need to contact them, there closed Saterday. Sunday they send me another email saying if I dont call them in 24 hours they are closing my ticket, again closed. Monday before I go to lunch, I get an email say they closed it and this,We need the following:1. Photo of the issue2. Shipping Address3. Place of Purchase4. The Kraken V3 Hypersense is my second pair of Razer Kraken Headsets, my first was the Razer Kraken Pro V2 and I loved and used those every day. On the left headset, you have a volume control, mic-mute toggle, and the microphone port while on the right we have just the hypersense button ( hypersense refers to their haptic feedback feature) which controls the levels of the bass effect. The headset build also feels very solid, I tried stretching and twisting a few different ways and I have total confidence they will be fine.How do they sound…? Fantastic! You really can’t go wrong with this. I tried this with both my pc and my PS4 and on default they sound great but when you turn on hypersense it sounds incredible, it really makes you feel the impact of many of the actions happening in your game/media. But I must warn you if you are in an intense(sounding) part of your game or there is a lot of bass response from your media you might be overwhelmed and want to minimize the hypersense effect or turn it off. Otherwise sound in general was very crisp and smooth and everything came through clearly.When it comes to the mic, my friends said my voice came through clearly and I can confirm that when I swapped headsets with them and listened to their voice I was satisfied with their audio through the Kraken V3s.The last few things I can say about this Headset refer to Razer Synapse app. I would definitely say install it on your pc because through this you can mess around with the sound (volume and haptic intensity), enhancement such as the bass, voice and audio equalizer, mic settings, and finally lighting. Yes, I said lighting. These headsets have RGB lighting found on each headset and involve the Razer logo and ring around the logo that you can not only pick any color you want but you have three effects: breathing, spectrum cycling, and static. This was a great addition and I appreciate it.Like I said in the beginning this headset is great. Not only is it comfortable but it seems to be very durable and it is packed with many features intended to enhance your media consumption and listening experience. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a little swivel on each headset to allow for some lateral movement and maybe a much longer chord. These are a definite buy either way.

Leaving the haptic feedback off and setting the sound profile to Music, I was able to soak in music tracks from Dr. Dre’s Chronic 2001 (Instrumental) and was quite pleased with the full range of the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers. Switching the profile to Movie, I watched Saving Private Ryan’s D-Day scene and was also very pleased with the sound quality. Hearing the bullets whistle by and splash in the water is quite surreal. Finally, I switched the profile to Game and played my guilty pleasure, Diablo 2 Resurrected. Again, no real complaints here other than that the Game profile is probably not my favorite profile. I left THX Spatial Audio on for all my listening observations.Finally, the addition of Hypersense is quite a treat. Every example I provided above with Hypersense turned on adds a little something that was never there before. The bass line in “What’s The Difference”, the explosions on Omaha Beach, and the havoc created when my ‘zon throws her Lightning Fury to a field of cows have all been enhanced with this headset. And what’s even more pleasing is the haptic feedback is not monotone in nature, each unique sound provides a corresponding sensation, and it’s pretty nice. I’m going back and watching scenes from my favorite movies now because of these headphones. Lofelt did a great job with haptic feedback integration.Hypersense has three settings (low/medium/high) and I felt that low and medium were just enough feedback to complement my listening volume, which is on the higher side. High feedback setting is a bit overbearing and can be more distracting than anything. The best haptics are those that are subtle and natural, and I found those in the low/mid settings. There is no fine tuning between the profiles, unfortunately.The Kraken V3 Hypersense and its USB-A connection can be used on some consoles as well (PS5, Switch on dock) according to its product page. Since these headsets are wired, I think a wireless variant would be more appropriate for the couch potato gamer. Speaking of wired, the premium sleeved cable on the headset is plenty of length, but like some other headsets I own, it would be nice if I could switch where the cable is connected (my PC is on the right, but cable is connected to the left earcup). The headband and ear cups are very comfortable, and I love the subtle look to them. Overall, nice job Razer on making these headsets.
