F keys don’t work as they should. Default setting is as media keys and there is no way you can change this without installing the Razer software, which you can’t typically install on a work computer. Also it is still a very loud keyboard. Razer only went half way, it’s quiet on the down action, but just as loud and obnoxious when the keys come back up.It looks great and feels nice but it is definitely not a good keyboard for the office.

Have been using Pro Type Ultra for over a year and it has been fantastic, great sound on keystrokes and well built/designed very comfortable to use.Price wise is a little on the steeper side for a keyboard but it has the feel of a premium keyboard. For those with issues with the F key's they can be toggled between F1-12 and media keys by pressing Function Key + Escape
If you regularly use Excel then you will immediately hate this keyboard. This keyboard is marketed for office use but I disagree. Itlooks clean and has a nice feel to it, but the keyboard is still quite loud and it doesn’t have the F keys as default… you actually need to hold function to use the F keys - they are set to media functions by default which seems incredibly pointless for office use. There is no way to change this without using the Razer software - good luck getting that installed on your work PC!As for sound it is only quiet when you press the keys down. When they spring back out they actually make quite a lot of noise. Razer clearly skipped over 50% of the key movement so it’s actually pretty loud if you are typing quickly. In summary it is a very ... I purchased the Razer Pro Type Ultra Wireless keyboard. Straight out of the box I noticed some keys were evidently lower than others, especially the W key. The USB dongle which I relied on came apart and got stuck in my keyboard. I noticed the battery life wasnt the best, once I played around with the Razer Central and Razer Synapse, I got an improvement with the battery as I lowered the light settings. The software is not the best, to be honest, I thought it was a bit heavy for what it needed to do. A shame as it was good to type on and looked great. Im going to give it a 2 star as it's not actually dead, however, the dongle is broken, and the keys are lower. The US support was disgraceful, Im so glad I purchased this through eBay as Razer support has been OK.
While it looks good, this keyboard was sufficiently impractical that I bought another which is ugly but practical. The keys are tall and noisy. It's difficult to type accurately. Also, to use it fully you need to install software which is not allowed by my work laptop's firewall, meaning I would be stuck with several badly mapped keys if I wanted to use it. A waste of money if you're getting a peripheral for working from home, though it might be satisfying in other use cases.
Maybe wait until this goes on sale before paying full price. Some reviews say the keytrokes are too loud after pushing the key, I am guessing these are the same crowd who are full blown keyboard enthusiasts (which is fine, no judgement), but saying its loud is a bit dramatic. The only thing I can criticize is that the wrist wrest does not attach to the keyboard and can shift a bit sometimes.
F keys are media keys. Have to use fn to trigger them which is super annoying as.Not that quiet.
