Honestly for the sale price I paid these are not a bad pair of headphones. They don't sound great out of the box but the included THX software does a pretty great job of fixing that. My biggest complaint is the USB-C Dongle that they come with. I ran into an inconsistent connection issue with the dongle. It seems like the headset/dongle goes into a sort of power saver mode when nothing is playing but does not always come back up when something starts playing. The quick way around this is to just re-plug the dongle. Additionally, when using the dongle there is a faint hissing sound when nothing is playing, This doesn't seem to be an issue caused by the noise canceling but more so feedback from other signals in my home. My wife and I bought for our grandson, he loves them!!!Would highly recommend, not to mention Best Buy had the BEST price!!!
If you plan on using this with either ps5 or pc, expect major Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues. Volume is always set at max when connecting or reconnecting on either bt or Wi-Fi dongle so be weary. Audio quality is quite good for the price, but razer definitely messed this one up. Razer synapse updates for headphones don’t address the problem. I’d avoid the barracuda line in general.
Best pair of head phone I have ever owned, I have three pair of beats by Dre and the Razer beat them hands down.
There is a big difference in the audio and sound delay when the headphones are plugged in vs. Bluetooth connection.
I got this to replace a headset that had started malfunctioning. Within a week, the sound would randomly become garbled/static-y, and the headset would randomly turn off despite being fully charged. I usually like Razer products, disappointed that this one did not meet expectations.
The microphones are a total joke, no matter what setting they sound like you are using a speakerphone in an empty concrete bunker. Avoid this headset entirely if you care how you sound, unless you already use a separate mic. The audio output and comfort are fine otherwise.
This isn’t a good gaming headset, lot of lagging issues, trying to play online had a lot of static noise and other players couldn’t not understand me, almost like a robotic voice… DO NOT BUY FOR GAMING
