After a one hour stream, we went back through and listened for any feedback, outside noise, muffling, and just straight quality checks. I can honestly say the sound is great and can easily be adjusted as well. There is an adjustable gain on the mic and I found for my deep and loud voice I was able to run it low, about 25% and my voice sounds natural and not overpowered at all.With my wife 5 feet from me, there was also zero mic feedback between us and no cross sound, this was a huge benefit and I loved that this worked the way it did. Now, I do have to bring up the sound was much better the 2nd time around for noise cancelling when I put the mic on the mic boom and was able to put the mic closer to my face rather than sit on the desk. I really believe the mic sitting on the desk even with the vibration resistant bottom still picks up vibrations and sound reflecting from the desk surface. If you want the upmost professional sound, put it on a mic boom are, mine was about $65 from Best Buy.The High Pass filter does work, the low hum of the van in the background is no longer heard through the Razer Seiren V2 but you can through my wife's, so we will be updating hers as well. The Mic also has a built in mute button if you do not have a quick key setup but I use a quick key through OBS so it is not used for myself but it is there.I am very happy with this Mic, the sound is clear, not as good as my expensive mic but because of the noise cancellation alone, I will be using the Razer Seiren V2 Pro as my daily mic going forward because the sound difference to 99% of the listeners will not tell a difference in my voice but will have a better listening experience without the unwanted background noises.I recommend you or anyone try this mic before buying an expensive Midi setup mic for streaming.

Seiren V2 Pro is a great microphone if you’re looking to up your production quality sound without emptying out the bank. The V2 Pro does an excellent job of voice isolation while ignoring the ambient noises in the background all while looking simple yet stunning.While the V2 Pro comes with its own mic stand, I’ve opted to attach mine to a boom mic arm which in my opinion improves the setup and sound quality. While the stand is well made, the built-in shock absorber feels a bit thick in my opinion. While the mic sits on my table, it’s not entirely flush to the surface. I have a sit stand desk, so when changing elevations, it could cause some unwanted shifting. Adjustments on the mic itself are two knobs for adjusting the mic and headphone levels and a mute button.After getting everything setup, I tested the mic through the software just to hear what positions and such sounded best. I found the position mattered a lot as to where one could position their mouth in relation to the mic. You also need to be fairly close in most instances for good volume and clarity. Typically, I found keeping it within 2-5 inches of my mouth worked best at a slight angle. I was impressed that it blocked out many background noises that may have been picked up by many other mics out there. OF course this will vary as to what setting you have the mic set to, the volume of your voice, and the environment but it did a good job in most cases.Overall, as a videographer who doesn’t generally need a dedicated mic in a studio setting, I have found the Razer Seiren V2 Pro a useful tool to have. This mic is geared towards gamers/streamers/podcasters who voice over their content all the time. This may be something I will get into more in the future now that I have a decent microphone but as of now I have found this a handy tool for voicing over content in post that may need more clarification or just to add a few clips here and there. I would highly recommend it for beginners who want a budget microphone for podcasts, streaming, or other video content.

When testing the Seiren V2 Pro out with friends in discord, they were unable to hear me using my keyboard, something that they almost always talk about being able to hear with my Blue Yeti and when switching back and forth between the microphones while in the call, my friends were unable to notice any differences in the overall sound from either microphone. Both microphones share features such as a mute button and volume and gain knobs. The only thing that the Blue Yeti has that the Seiren V2 Pro doesn't have is the knob for directional controls/patterns (cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional, and stereo), which in my situation, I don't really use much anyway (I set it to the one pattern that worked best for me and left it there). If you are looking for something that will give you great voice quality while gaming or streaming, than the Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a great option and I highly recommend it. However, If you are looking to start a podcast and are looking for something that could pick up multiple voices in a room well, then I may look for a different microphone. To anyone with a headset looking to get a dedicated microphone, this is a very great option and will be much better than the majority of headset mics out there, if not all.After this past week, I am very strongly considering using the Seiren V2 Pro as my main microphone from here on. I tend to deal with a lot of background noise, so being able to have basically the same level of voice quality while also blocking out a majority of my background noise is a major plus in my book.

When you need to work regularly using your voice for digital presentations, podcasts, or just videoconferences like in my case, a good mic is a no-brain investment. Razer is delivering quality, performance, and aesthetics with this model. The configuration is done by your windows with the recognition of the drivers. One suggestion for advanced settings is to download and use the Razer synapse app that you could know from other Razer products.After the initial configuration and very simple tests, you just start to understand the advantages of the Filter to eliminate or minimize the background noises that your coworkers will appreciate while you work from your home with kids around. The fact that the basic elements of your mic like the volume and your gain (including also the mute bottom) are in front of you makes the operation the simplest possible.I don’t like and I don’t use the mic monitoring option that I found disturbing. However, if you are looking for perfect control of your voice, plugging your headphonesFinally, I love the mic comes fully ready to use with the desktop stand and no more investments are needed.Final consideration: this mic is exactly what I need to deliver my voice quality and simplicity. I was initially concerned by the “professional grade” element in the name. I am not a singer or a super expert in sound and I was not attracted to a super complicate device. I was a bit skeptical of the professional-grade label that Razer placed on their Siren V2 microphone, but after using it for a few hours they have me sold. It's a great looking microphone, that won't stick out or look tacky in a Zoom meeting, and has surprisingly great sound quality. It was super easy to get up and running, just plug the USB cord into the microphone, plug the other end into the computer, hit the power button and select it from the input choices in the sound setting menu of the computer. I fired up Audacity, plugged in my headphones into the microphone, and adjusted the gain setting for the microphone and the volume level for the headphones. The sound out of this microphone is really clean, and very neutral. I didn't notice any harshness, or sibilance, and it wasn't muddy or boomy either. It still sounded pretty good when I got really close to test the proximity effect. It's super sensitive too... it was picking up the sounds of the refrigerator from the other room with no problem even with the gain cut way back. I would recommend using a noise gate to take out the little bit of background noise it pics up. I didn't notice any issues with plosives, and using the included clown nose pop filter made plosive rejection even better without muddying up the sound or making it overly dark. Overall the sound quality is great for this price point, especially for a USB microphone without any interface. The only gripe I have is the build quality is lacking. The included microphone stand has a pad on the bottom that is not flat, so the microphone wobbles around. The handling noise rejection is completely non existent... if I touch the microphone, or any of the cables by accident the mic picks up that noise loudly. The body of the microphone rings like a bell if tapped, and the knobs for adjusting the gain and headphone volume are very loose and wiggle around in their holes. But all that aside, as an actual microphone, it works great, and as long as you don't need to hand hold it I can easily recommend this for anyone looking for a good sounding microphone on a small budget.

I used it in a variety of modes, and it performed well. When video conferencing, No one on the other end said I sounded abnormal. The microphone does note require any special software to be loaded for use and the drivers load without issue. The microphone is also usable with an existing Boom and shock mount that I have as part of my setup (see last image with this review).Pros: Audio quality, Streaming settings to feed to a streaming mixerCons: Mic monitoring sound is slightly hollow out of the box.

It looks classy and can fit in with all but the most colorful gaming setups. Being able to attach the yoke directly to my boom arm gives another point of articulation to my setup and helps me get the mic aimed properly to reduce keystroke noises. Sound quality is very good to my ear. It's got a very warm sound that doesn't suffer from much sibilance. I have a pop filter and have tried the Seiren both with and without (and with and without the included foam sock) and I didn't notice much difference, so the design of the mic appears to be pretty good for minimizing these issues. I also like the design of the USB-C cable - Razer has molded the connection into the mic itself to reduce strain as you move the mic around. Considering I've had one USB mic that was damaged from being moved while plugged in, I think this is a nice touch. I tried it with a regular USB-C cable from another brand and it worked fine, so if you lose the Razer cable it's not the end of the world.Things I didn't like: Not much to find fault with, but if you don't already have Razer Synapse 3 on your PC, be prepared for a lot of bloat just to use all the features of the Seiren V2 Pro. Razer isn't alone in this, but all of these gaming brands are pushing these huge all-encompassing software packages that are great if you are already in their ecosystem, but a pain if you just want one product. For me, I have a few Razer accessories, so no big deal. Next thing you know I'll have to have Synapse for some reature of my Razer Iskur chair :)
