The regular Wolverine V2 was also on sale for ~$70 at the same time but I chose the more expensive chroma version because of well, the ability to color match other devices, and, more importantly, the V2 Chroma has a detachable USB cable and gives you the flexibility to use different cables with it.What am I doing now? This product, the Wolverine V2 Chroma, is what I use when I am sitting at my desk. And it is nice! For on-the-go or as a second controller I have the vanilla Xbox bluetooth controller (with a cheap phone clip), which at $60 is the best all around value.

I wanted a wired controller for taking online. Bought it today, it’s a 4/5 so far. I wanted the adjustable triggers, compared to other similar controller this only has 2 settings for the triggers not 3 but this controller is a great price for what you get. It’s comfortable it will be great for online because of the wired aspect and you don’t have to worry about batteries. If I could change anything I’d give the triggers 3 settings, and change where the start/back buttons are. Other then that this is my first Razer product of hopefully many more. For the 83$ it’s a nice addition plus I wanted a controller with a D pad like this one. Thank you Staples for price matching Razers website.

Original Wolverine still holding up with no stick drift issues. Upgraded to the V2 because the volume control on the original version didn't have mic monitoring when using a wired headset. V2 has held up great. No stick drift after tons of PUBG and Fortnite. I map L3 and R3 to bottom triggers which eliminates pushing sticks down. 2 extra bumpers on top means I never have to take fingers off sticks. There is a free Razer app in the Xbox store that will allow you to remap button layout and use Focus features of the controller. Overall this has been the best controller I've used. It's frequently on sale too. Worth every penny.

It works well for people with big hands or just long fingers, not sure about smaller hands. It feels so much more sturdy and the buttons don’t feel as brittle, although I’m sure that will change with time. Honestly, if you’re like me and play just about daily and are competitive in FPS, you probably won’t get much more than a year and some change out of even the newest generations of controllers - I’m pretty tough on the buttons to be honest. But I feel like, barring any accidents like dropping it or spilling something on it, that I will get another 1-2 years out of this controller. The upgraded design seems ugly and like it will be uncomfortable but my big hands are just as comfortable and I actually feel like I have more consistent control over my analog stick inputs. Really happy with the V2 - although it’s not for all folks I’m sure. In the end, if you came from the Wolverine Tournament/Ultimate (and even used the Wildcat from back in the day like me) you will enjoy this controller. My only gripe may be the D-pad being a bit out of place/requiring more reach to use, but is something I’m getting used to. I highly recommend this controller for its price and quality over the Elite 2. Also, invest in the Best Buy protection plan so you can just swap it out in a year or so and restart with a crispy controller without putting down another $130+. Another note, if you’re on PC like me, don’t download any razer software - it’s garbage and I’ve have multiple experiences of it messing with my computer. And actually it’s unnecessary for this controller, as button mapping and settings are accessed through the Microsoft store Razer controller app, which is much better.
I purchased this controller about 9 months ago.I bought the extra warranty with geek squad and I'm glad I did.Right now I'm in the process of trying to get my one year manufactured warranty covered and it has been nothing but a hassle from razor.Right trigger just stopped working should be no problem, Right.Wrong! Make sure to have a copy of your receipt.Even tho I have a receipt,razor is still trying hard not to replace the it's malfunctioning controller say it is out of warranty . FYI the day the controller is made is the day there warranty starts, so you may get a year or you may just get a day.
