I love everything about the feel of this controller. The buttons, the triggers, the placement of the 6 extra buttons. The biggest (only) issue is there is no way to calibrate the Hall Effect thumbsticks. Back to square one.

The best controller option for Xbox Series X\S. As a customer who was happy with the Stealth Ultra controller from Turtle Beach, I ended up disappointed as the rubber grip on the right side started peeling off. This also made the light track start sliding out as well. I decided to get the Razer V3 and give it a try. This controller feels great. Every button screams quality, and the Hall Effect Thumbsticks are amazing. This controller has a much better build than any other controller on the market. The thing that surprised me the most was the speed of the connection between the Xbox and the controller. It's a solid controller with no gimmicks. Your controller doesn't need LED lights all around the edge and a display, these options make the battery last about an hour on the Stealth Ultra. The Razer is a controller that has everything you need and is built to last.

If you are tired of having your xbox elite II controllers reliably and repeatedly break and are looking for a similar kind of controller this might be the controller for you.TLDR So far so good. This just came out so I cannot attest to long term usage yet. However, I've used it for about 50 hours as of the time of writing this and I have had zero issues. Does not sound like a lot, but when you consider that my 4th (and final) Xbox elite II controller was defective right out of the box this controller has already surpassed Microsoft in terms of quality assurance.I bought this controller out of frustration after my last xbox elite II controller broke (did I mention it was my 4th?) and I decided to stop giving Microsoft money since they are more interested in ... This controller has the same xbox joystick layout which I prefer to the Playstation joystick configuration and the feature set seemed similar enough so I figured it would be worth a shot to see if it was worth the money.A lot of the buttons on this controller have a mouse click feedback when pressed which didn't know I liked until I had it in hand. I've never really had any issues with stick drift (lucky in that regard I guess) so I cannot attest to the hall effect joysticks being better than traditional joysticks. I really like the D-pad on this controller. I also liked the D-pad on the elite controller but I fell like this one I have more precise control on.Back paddles and extra shoulder buttons are all nice. I'd say my hands are average sized and my fingers rest comfortably where I don't have to reach or hold the controller differently to press them.Kind of a bummer that only the macro buttons are reprogrammable (wish I could customize each button like the Elite controller allows you to do, maybe Razer will listen and add that feature in future products). That is my only reason for not rating this 5 stars as of the time of writing this. However, a thing I really like is being able to program the macro buttons in game just by using the controller itself. With the elite I would have to open the app and make adjustments. Then if I wanted to make changes I would have to reopen the app and repeat the process. With this controller I just hold the programming button and press the macro button I want to change, then press the button I want that macro button to change to. So you can easily make adjustments in game on the fly without having to open a separate app.Battery life I cannot comment on because I always have mine attached via USB while using. However, from other reviews I've seen and read it's neither amazing or abysmal so probably not worth commenting on.If you like the feel of the elite controller but want to stop giving Microsoft money and hope they figure out how to stop selling defective "elite" controllers give this a try. I have and I am not disappointed

tremendous stick drift out of the box and this controller offers no way to calibrate. They expect users to run a 10% deadzone setting by default (value 1=10% or so) one of the worst implementation of hall effect sticks to date. A shame this controller had alot to offer if they did not scam us on with the marketing hype around no stick drift. It also will decide to not turn on until you usb cycle it, firmware can fix that im sure. As well as you cannot individually set circle and rectacle pattern to each stick, both have to be done at the same time, meaning if you want to aim with circle your left sticks movement will then be choppy. So many more issues I noticed but I will stop.
I have been waiting for a long time and have searched exhaustively for a 3rd party alternative to the Microsoft Elite series controller for the XBOX Series X. My wait appears to be finally over. With only a few minor things I don't really like about the Razer V3 Pro, for the most part I love this controller. Premium build quality and performance, clicky/tactile buttons, hall effect sticks that are complete perfection, seamless integration into the XBOX eco system by way of a plug and play dongle that works instantly, and a decent enough app experience with enough customization to make for a completely enjoyable gaming experience. For too long the XBOX gaming community has been stuck with the poorly built and unreliable Elite Series controllers. This is your answer to those issues. My only negative mentions would be the back button positioning. I find that the bottom most back button especially is in such an awkward location that I have had to just not have it mapped to anything because I would press it on accident by merely gripping the controller. If they don't change the positioning with the next iteration, at least give the option to lock out the back buttons completely so as to not have this mistake occur. Secondly, when the controller is plugged in and charging, the lighting will pulse for a couple moments, but then it will go out completely. So you really don't have any indication of it still charging or when it is completely charged. Having the lighting affect continue to pulse at it's charging and then go solid when fully charged seems to be such a simple thing that could have offered. Maybe this can be a thing added through firmware or something. All in all, minor things that in no way alter the great experience! We finally can tell Microsoft where to go with their terrible controllers that have stick drift out of the box!! Thank you Razer!!
I've just received mine in the mail yesterday and here's my opinion.1. Build Quality- Excellent. this controller has a great build. it's not as heavy as some other controllers (Like the Xbox Elite Series 2 ) but it's also not as light as your standard Xbox controller either. it's the middle ground of perfect.the materials on this controller are hard plastic. very similar to your standardize Xbox controller but...more premium? Triggers- The triggers on the New Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless are overall fairly great, now if you're looking for something on the "Scuf Instant Trigger level" Unfortunately these do not provide you with that Ultra Instant trigger pull experience, but it does come really close, closer than most on the market. so, although it is pretty high on the price range it's not nearly as high as the Scuf coming to a whopping $230.003. Connectivity- The connectivity on the New Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless has a good solid connection despite what others say, and for my copy it was a really simple connect to my Xbox,4. Button Mapping- The Button Mapping feature on this controller is fantastic! you have the options to do manually "On The Fly" and or on the Razer app that's either on your phone, PC, or Xbox.there are a total of 6 remappable buttons on the controller. 4 behind the controller, (I personally use them in place of the D-Pad) and 2 on top of the controller. I use one of them (Top right) as the "X" for FPS games, so I don't have to let go of the joysticksConclusion-The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless is overall a great and perfect controller for any hardcore competitive gamer out there who likes the luxury of having their thumbs free of any distractions (such as lifting you thumb off the right joystick to hit the "X-button" to reload mid fight, instead of keeping your crosshairs on the enemy or looking for a way out of that sticky situation)this controller (with time) will give you a one up on thinking without lifting your thumbs off the joysticks.Thank you for reading my opinions on this controlleras a Gamer myself I am constantly playing "The Finals, Battlefield, Call of Duty and "Overwatch"
Would be one of the best controllers on the planet if it wasnt for the bad deadzone implementation, no calibration, poor razer software, weirdly spaced face buttons, and (the absolute worst part) some of the worst quality control known to man. First controller, got it yesterday and the left bumped is already broken. The controller chooses when it actuates the left bumper, and after that it just holds it down. Leaving me unable to use it unless I plug it back in. Well done razer. An easy lay up, and you guys missed once again. One of the most incompetent brands to have ever existed.
First and foremost have been using the elite controllers since their inception and swear by them. I never rewlly liked any other third party controller. The V2 Wolverine had weird rear buttons and had to be wired to xbox to work. But this just might be the best controller you can get on Xbox. Its extremely nice. It has mechanical button clicks and perfect rear button placement. There is a Razer app on the xbox that lets you manage the button customization. This controller has Hall Effect buttons and they are amazing. They take some getting used too but once you get the hang of them they are better than the Elite controller. I highly recommend anyone looking for a really good xbox controller with Hall Effect analogue sticks and might be skeptical on Elite controller ... I'm coming from EXCLUSIVELY using the Turtle Beach STEALH ULTRA for Xbox. Loving the hall effect sticks and mouse click buttons. Although i loved that one, the paddle placement was just not comfortable for me. This controller, however, not only has an additional 2 reassigning bumper buttons. The paddles are also in a much better placement. It took a bit of tinkering, but I've got it right where i want to. Has worked wonders on XDEFIANT for me. Pricey, but worthy investment.
Pros:Very good controller with all the advanced technology that a controller needs to play and compete. All the extra buttons on the top and back of the controller are good and responsive. People who play standard grip, claw grip and unorthodox grip can all use and benefit from this controller. The sticks have to be best I have ever used and felt. I own and use the xbox series 2 controller (on the 5th one due to issues) and I also own the Scuf instinct pro (on the 2nd one due to issues) which is also a good controller, but I personally say the scuf is too expensive for the tech and feel of the controller.Con:I have medium/large size hands, and the controller feels slightly too small. Depending on your set up, the controller takes 2 usb slots, one for the cable and one for the dongle. You don't have to have them both plugged in but just wanted to state an obvious for other people. A flaw for me but probably wouldn't be for other people is the back buttons cannot be removed but they can be disabled through the software.
