It is time for the grandsons to move from their beginner scooters to these, and the Razor A5 Lux is perfect. Well made, solid, and good for children and adults. They have been easy to prep out of the box, needing just a slight (recommended) tightening with the included Allen wrench. The boys don’t know Santa is bringing these, but mom does, and she’s hoping to try them out too. They were a great price from Macy’s and in silver — beautiful! I strongly recommend this scooter.

I rode my A5 Razor Scooter nearly every day, all over the place, for work, for school, you name it. The scooter held up until I moved to Wisconsin. It scooted through rain, plowed through unshovelled snow on sidewalk sections, unavoidable puddles, somehow through crazy pot-holes. There were only 2 days I couldn't scooter due to just too much snow. Otherwise, this beastly chariot boldy charged on! Sadly, the axel could not stand up to the Wisconsin weather and it eventually broke. However, I had been riding the scooter for 8 years leading up to that point. It lasted for 6 years in California, and 2 years in Wisconsin.

Buyer beware! Poor quality product- do not purchase!Once was a fan of older model which my kids had forever.Now purchased new model and already had to have the item replaced due to a steering issue. Second product delivered was not even 8 months old and the handle bar completely snapped and broke off 😡. You can tell that they are manufacturing this product with cheaper material and the metal is softer and not as thick compared to his older one. Walmart refused to refund my money due to product breaking out of the return window. 😡

This scooter was purchased in February 2023. Several months on, it is still in good condition, though it has not been used that much. While the scooter is a little hard to open form the folded position (the spring loaded lever is quite hard to press down and up to open, but once it is closed it can be securely tucked away under a bed or a spacious closet. Other than that, the child enjoys really using this scooter, and looks like it is built well enough to see years of use. The wheels are of good quality too, though I do wish at least one set of replacements is included with scooters like this. I would recommend this scooter to other parents considering buying this for a child.
I purchased this scooter as a gift for my 8 year old and so far he loves it! It comes fully assembled so he was able to ride it right away. The scooter easily folds in half which is great for packing it in the car to take with you or just for storing it. So far he has only been riding it on our concrete floor basement so I'm not sure yet how it will handle outside when he gets in the yard or on our gravel driveway. It does have bigger tires so I thought it might handle better outside than the scooters with small tires but that is yet to be determined! I also purchased the scooter on sale for half price which was a good deal so I definitely got a good value from what I can tell at this point.
This scooter was the 4th we tried from a large array of options. After trying this one, we went ahead and purchased 3 more! The scooter rolls smoothly, slows down and breaks well, and it's able to handle minor cracks and bumps without any issues. The scooter is well made and if maintained, hould last for many years to come. We highly recommed this scooter for anyone over 6 years old till old age. #sweepstakes
I use this for my commute home from work. I catch a ride in the morning and bring my scooter and helmet with me. I fold it up and get to work, and after work I ride home. The brakes work wonderfully, as I ride up and down hills. Wheels are nice and big, and they are good even on bumpier terrain. Very cute and useful, I highly recommend.
It is all aluminum scooter so it is very lightweight at 8 lbs. I got the silver one and I love how sleek it looks also. But that is the only plus in my opinion. It might just be the me being nit picky or maybe i got a bad batch but it is just too noisy and clunky in my usage. When folded the handle bar has a lot of give and can hit the back wheel fender used for breaking. It sounds like nails on a chalk board and if I were to take it on a train or bus it would probably be rattling a bunch. The next issue is the closing mechanic. I have the same type of closing latch on my carbon lux scooter which is also Razor but i have an issue opening and closing with this scooter. I bought two of these A5 Lux so that we can easily get places together (and so we have three scooters total when her friends are over). We love our bikes but the scooters are less hassle for stuff within a mile or two. We both LOVE these - the larger wheels are superior for dodgy sidewalks, width of foot platform is easier and the slightly higher deck height means you bottom out less often over obstacles. The break is more effective as well. I use this on errands without my daughter around. Also makes picking up carry out from areas where parking is tough much faster;) ... Got this scooter for my daughter for Christmas! she loves it! It’s very durable and sturdy. I highly recommend it ! Also love the fact the wheels are big on it too. Very nice size for child or adult. lol I even road on it . You won’t regret buying.
