The ripster air razor caster board is very hard to ride. Well, it is for me anyways:). My son has been wanting one of these for a while and he is learning as we speak. Btw he's
10yrs old. I do recommend wearing all.the safety gear along with sneakers. You can seriously get hurt with it cause it only has 2 wheels under it. Its light weight and seems to
be built well. I would also recommend going with the age recommended which is 8 and older. This is not a regular skate board. This board does have like a skid proof type of
material on both sides of the board which is a plus to keep those feet in place.

My boys love a ripstick. Its completely different from a skateboard. It has two wheels down the middle and you have to have complete balance. You have to use your legs and
upper body to keep it in motion. Its a workout but a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Its well made and last years. This is our second one so they dont have to take turns.
My boys have made every boy in our neighborhood love these. Any person that likes a skateboard and a challenge I would definitely recommend this too. Tip for a first timer
make sure you are on a flat pebble free surface. A pebble can take you down quick if you dont know what your doing.

The ripstik ripster is a great balance toy for older elementary kids, although my 8yo requested one for her birthday and she sits on it and rips around. It does require balance
and intuitive movement to get it going, but kids seem to catch on to it way faster than adults. LOL.

Fun for tweens, teens and adults!
21 September 2019
The Razor Black Label Ripster Air Scooter is a smaller, more compact version that is perfect for the smaller riders! It is rated for ages 8+, it takes some getting used to, definitely something to hold on to get stared and a helmet! My teens are able to ride this with no problem, they can balance, move and turn, after just an hour of riding. My husband also likes to ride, the Razor Black Label Ripster Air Scooter is able to hold 175 pounds, so a smaller adult can join in! With some practice and safety equipment, this is great outdoor exercise!... Show more

Im 14 years old and i love it
23 June 2020
I loved the Razor Ripstik Ripster!! (I am 14 years old and i weigh 130 pounds for reference.) Ive only ridden my friends and it was amazing! The smaller size of the Ripster made it really easy to ride and move around with. I learned to ride completely in 15 minuets tops. I also know how to ride a skateboard so that probably helped. Stopping the a ripstik can be scary at first but just try turning around to slow down and do not take your feet off of the board. This board is great for flat ground but going up hills is extremely hard. And going down hills is super scary and getting up to speed on these things is not fun. I love this product and would highly recommend this to anyone willing to try it! It is incredibly fun to ride and I absolutely love it which is why ... MoreI loved the Razor Ripstik Ripster!! Interesting take on an old toy
8 February 2015
My neighbors nephew had a rip stick and my daughter fell in love with it. She was lucky enough to have Santa bring her one this year at Christmas. My daughter is only eight and is still even trying to learn how to get the hang of a regular skateboard. She rally is very weary of the ripstick, because she is afraid she will fall and get hurt. I have let her practice balancing inside on carpet, incase she does fall. That has seemed to help a bit, but she is still too afraid to get outside and try it. I was actually fooling around with it the other day and got on it. It is really difficult to be able to stay on top of it and to keep it from falling over. Let alone trying to get it to move. I am not sure that I can even wiggle around and make it move. This is a really ... MoreMy neighbors nephew had a rip stick and my daughter fell in love with it. I am hoping that she can master it and has fun!... Show more

My nephew loves this
22 February 2017
My nephew tried one of these out at a friend's house and he just had to have one. I ended up getting him one for Christmas, even though I thought it was a strange looking contraption. I personally can't ride the thing and gave up quickly for fear of busting my tailbone on the cement, but he jumped on and ripped right around on it like a pro. Its one of those new and cool things and all the kids want to have them. It is neat and different from a bike or scooter or even a skateboard. I reccomend these for older kids as they can get hurt until they figure it out well enough, and even after that there is still a chance they can tip over and fall. Definitely should wear a helmet and sneakers that offer support and protection, and even knew and elbow pads if possible. ... MoreMy nephew tried one of these out at a friend's house and he just had to have one. My nephew has ridden it a lot, and taken some falls but he still loves it, and it's still in perfect shape nothing has broken or fallen apart. Great construction and materials.... Show more

Not for beginners
6 September 2019
The rip stick is fun once you get the hang of it. Balancing is key. Our kids have ridden, skateboards, ine wheels and motorized skateboards.it is hard at first, but balance and ride at first but practice in balancing is the only way to be good at it. After about an hour my son was riding up and down the street, balancing and turning and having fun!! This is also a great body core, legs and thigh workout. The house Rupstick board study to hold a 15 year old. The casters are.free moving, lose and sturdy.... Show more

This is a mini board at only 28? long.

This is a mini size board at only 28? long. The description was wrong so I bought it thinking it was the 34? version. I reported the mistake in the description, so hopefully they change it. The 34? or longer ripstiks are much easier to ride. The longer ones allow you to space your feet further apart for more balance and don?t require as much lower body movement to get going.... Too Dangerous
3 October 2019
As a mom I can not recommend this product. I thought it had two wheels on it. There are so many warnings on the package/box, even cautioning death. Not sure who made this but it wasn't a good idea. However, if your a daredevil and have great balance then proceed with caution. We are NOT in our home. The reason I rated two stars is because its made very well, strong and sturdy. However, I fear its safety.... Show more
