So far I am very impressed , it really packs a punch and I would certainly recommend it in the £500-£550 price range, especially for those with lower power systems like mine.

The cooling is zero issue (around 60 deg while gaming) and the card's performance and efficiency is amazing. Around 190W peak power draw for 3080-tier performance. This particular model ain't even big either, so there's no issue with fitment. Gigabyte and Nvidia did a great job on this one.Card was delivered three days earlier than the ETA with zero issue. Great job from Bestbuy as usual.Only problems are with the clunkiness of GeForce but that is no fault of the card itself.

The 4070 is a lot like the 2070 I upgraded from. Compared to its contemporaries its the definition of "budget" performance and is certainly able to hold its own on current AAA games at 1080p (max settings) or 1440p (setting adjustments required).Pairs well with my I7-9700K and will be in my machine until games outgrow it.Pros:- Whisper Quiet, borderline inaudible. The fans don't kick on unless the GPU deems it necessary so most of the time you won't even know it's there.- Excellent performance boost (for me, your mileage may vary)- A good starting option for newcomers. This has been true for every -70 model GPU since the 1070.- Low power profile. Be sure to check the dimensions of your case before purchasing. In my specific case, It clears my ATX motherboard by about half an inch and almost touches my other power cables. (Case is Corsair 110R for those looking for specifics)- Price. You can get similar cards for cheaper but if you want to stay "current" without spending $800 or more this is the closest you'll getSummary: All in all the 4070, especially this one, is a good buy if you don't have any other option. Do not use this card for 4K gaming. This is not what it's for. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.8/10

[Rewarded Review] An amazing GPU for all the Nvidia fans

This card is an absolute BEAST for 1080p/1440p gaming. I genuinely am happy with this card, I’m coming from an RTX 2060 (which played all games perfectly at 1080p) and can see the difference like night and day. Even with RT on this card performs beautifully! (RT testing done with 1080p High - Guardians of the Galaxy, CyberPunk 2077).Another thing I enjoy about this Nvidia RTX 4070 OC is the 12gb of VRAM. Is the sweet spot for what I need it to do, I.e RT games, High settings, Blender studio, & small AI tasks! The power draw on this model is really good too, I’m currently using it with a EVGA 600w and have had no issues at all. Nvidia does recommend at least a 650w PSU though and you should probably listen :)

Currently one of the better priced GPUs on the market. For those who want this GPU for games, it easily handles anything at 1080p, and has incredible performance at 1440p with a bit of settings tweaking in games like Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2 and Control, I did use Ray Tracing and DLSS.For 4K gaming it is a great entry level GPU, you will be sacrificing performance for graphic fidelity if you use Ray Tracing in certain games but DLSS and frame generation with the 40 series GPUs will help if you want better graphics and higher frame rates. Fast render times for 3D modeling and video editing as well as NVIDIA exclusive features such as NVENC for live streaming gameplay makes this an enticing purchase.TLDR: This Gigabyte version of the 4070 is one of the best priced GPUs currently for new or open box, and performs incredibly against anything you throw at it for its price range.

My previous GPU wasn’t performing very well with Black Myth WuKong. I did a lot of research and found that the Gigabyte Windforce 4070 was the best available card within my budget. Bought the card and it was delivered a day or two later. Delivery was fast, box was in perfect shape, unopened with not damage. Took all of 4 minutes to install and I was ready to go. Getting around 150 or so FPS on BMWK and most of my graphic settings are set to high and cinematic. Very pleased with this card and would absolutely buy it again. Haven’t had any screen tearing and temp stays around 50° C. Gigabyte is becoming my go to brand for GPU’s. Never had a problem with the last couple. The 4070 is a solid card and you shouldn’t have any doubts about purchasing it.

Bought open box excellent. Came with everything except one missing dust plug which doesn't matter.Current gpu pricing is still way too high but if you can get a good deal it's worth.Card works and installs perfectly. Only needs a single 8-pin, no 12VHPWR.Card is virtually silent at all times. Have not had fans run over 50% yet. It has a 0 rpm fan mode. Cannot hear the gpu over case fans.Haven't had any issues, shipped extremely quickly. Just wish gpu pricing can go back to normality.

The 40 series came out and was met with disdain from the GPU community for it's high price tag and lackluster performance, but when building my first rig in a long time, I spent a LOT of time researching, trying and coming up with a build to my specific needs: High framerates in newer titles, 1440p and able to bump it to 4k when I felt like it with some still high framerates. That alone was also gave me the ability to have more fun with the build and fit everything in a smaller case that still never saw temps over 75 at full load. Frame-gen being what it is and how it will become more prevalent in the coming years makes this card a solid choice for a mid-range build.

I didnt need any rgb on the card because i have enough insude and outside my case allready to light up broadway. I just wanted a card that would meet my expectations that my series x and PS5 couldnt. Well after loading games onto my new rig that included a 7700x and a capellix 360mm from corsair i can without a doubt verify that this card despite only having 12gb of vram only had to have the settings reduced for The last of us as it take more than 12gb of vram to max it out at 4k. Every other game i tested was like i had played it for the first time. Briight vivid and after a while i didnt need to have the fps and gpu cpu constantly on screen. I was able to just play. No extreme drops or dips in framerates. The Gigabyte windforce 4070 has exceeded my expectations. I was going to return it and save a little more and get the 4070ti super but after using this card for 2 weeks solid and having zero issues i felt that a higher tier card would have diminishing returns. As games get bigger and use more vram i may have to upgrade again but for now i am very pleased with this card and highly reccomend this to anyone wanting a solid gpu that can rock at 1440p and hold its own evn at 4k. I have a library of around 1200 games and no that isnt a typo. Even games that dont use dlss or raytracing still play incredibly well. For $529.00 i feel it was money well spent.
