After years of gaming I can say this is THE best video game I've ever played. The landscapes are breathtaking, the animals are so interesting and realistic, the side missions are intriguing and rewarding, and the best part is the main storyline. Arthur felt like a real human being and I shared all of his emotions throughout the story when playing. The other characters are also outstanding. The range of personalities, delivery of emotion and character development were all present and very well written. I cried at the end the first time I played it and this game will forever have my heart. Seriously. The horsies are also a big pro to this game as well 😉 Very riveting story that has happiness, love, sadness, anger, and shocking twists. Everyone should experience this ... RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 out of 1 through 5 this is a 20. How can I comprehend the masterpiece of this game and the amazing character development and the incredible voice acting and the outstanding soundtrack? And best of all sets up perfectly for the first Red Dead. Arthur Morgan Where do I start with him He is the perfect protagonist, in my opinion, the game sets him up as a simply hardened outlaw who lives to ride and kills to live with him and his gang but as you continue to play the story you get deeper and deeper into who he really is and it's not only him it's also with Dutch, and John, and Micah, and Javier, Bill (all these names are your gang members) we all see their true selves at the end of the game. But Arthur changed the most because back then he was a ruthless man who gave no mercy or pity to others (if you choose to) But as you play as him he suddenly changes and shows that he really is a good man (again if you choose to have high or low honor for Arthur). As you continue to get higher honor you see his character development as he helps his gang and other important characters like Rains fall and Eagle flies they played a huge part in showing his true self. And Tuberculosis also played a major part in changing his life, and not only that but John and his family, Tilly, Ms. Grimshaw, Mr. Pearson, Mary-Beth, Even Uncle. Arthur redeemed himself by trying to save as many as he could and get justice to those who deserved it. His passing was one of the most heartbreaking moments for gamers and It gets even better when you then Play as John Marston (AKA The main protagonist of the first Red Dead Redemption game) Arthurs Good friend and brotherly figure, Together with his former gang members Charles and Sadie who the game will introduce you to as the game progresses through the story. They hunt and avenge for their good friend and get the retribution he deserved and cuts into the sequel to red dead redemption the entire story is amazing from beginning to first. with breathtaking graphics and unmatchable features that you and all the people in red dead redemption 2 have (your hair and beard literally grows and flows in the wind that's how amazing it looks). you have so many strangers and side missions that you can interact with, and it just gets better and better hunting legendary animals, treasure hunting, secretly unlocking weapons that aren't supposed to be unlocked yet the list goes on, the soundtrack matches perfectly to each mission and gives you a feeling of intense excitement and a feeling that makes you cry, now there are some critics and gamers that have a problem with horse riding because it takes to long, but personally, I enjoyed every moment riding on a horse it was cool, and people also say that the controls are clunky and weird but again in my opinion they're not it's pretty good to me and another thing the controls are just like GTA 5 so I don't understand why people say it's bad but it just is to them but opinions don't count in a rating. The gamer has all these amazing things RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 if I could give higher ratings I could this game deserves more than a 10/10 it deserves a 100/10... Show more

No spoilers Arthur is just an amazing protagonist. This game single handedly changed how I view video games. I genuinely wasn't one who had much interest in playing any sort of video games until Red Dead Redemption 2. The story building feels like an HBO series but with better endings. The animation is at times too accurate. The characters are tear jerking at times and will make you laugh literally out loud for the first time in how long ? Yeah I know it felt like it had been awhile for me too. The voice acting is better than half the kids movies out there. I cant find any flaws in this game other than its online user base that misuse their power against female players. However thats not the developers fault, and they are working against it. Best game I have ever played. Doesn't get any better than this.
This is the most incredible and beautiful game. The landscapes are epic and have even fooled television stations into featuring screen grabs as viewer photos. Once you hit chapter 2 (chapter 1 is the tutorial), the incredible open world is yours. Experiencing it for the first time is a marvel. The AI is incredible. All the animals and npc characters have lives of their own and you can spend time just watching in amazement as wolves play, grizzly bears scratch their backs, you can even canoe down mountain rivers and watch bear cubs, etc. I guarantee you will bond with your horses as if they were real. The gameplay is engrossing for both experienced gamers and newbies alike. I have spent thousands of hours on this game with no plans to stop. The story is rich, fun yet ... It's an addiction, like a drug...
This game is a masterpiece! The majority of the negative reviews that I've read here seem to have some reoccurring themes. "It takes too long to get places in the game... It's just a bunch of horse riding... It's slow paced... etc." I get it. Yes, the map is huge and it takes some time to travel by horse, but the people who are writing these kind of negative reviews are missing the bigger picture Rockstar has provided. I constantly find myself totally immersed and enthralled by the vast amounts of detail and art that has been captured in RDR2. At no point have I been bored playing this incredible game. People need to take it for what it is and realize what it is not. It is not a fast paced shoot-em-up online game with no soul. It has not been tailored to satisfy the ... People need to take it for what it is and realize what it is not. It is not a fast paced shoot-em-up online game with no soul. It has not been tailored to satisfy the gamers who have been conditioned by the industry to expect instant gratification. If you are that type of gamer, then this game is not for you. Go find a fast paced FPS game and play that instead. Alternatively, if you are the kind of person who can appreciate the concept of working a bit and seeing the fruits of your labor, or if you're the kind of person who can enjoy the journey and not just the destination, then buy this game. I can't recommend it enough. It's incredible.... Show more

Literally the GOAT of all games
Other reviews that claim this to be the best game ever are correct. This is an amazing game. I've 100% like 5 times since I started playing it in July of 2020, and I always come back to it. Snipe Elite 4 or the new Sniper Elite 5 being the only other games that can hold my interest for long anymore. One negative to RDR2 is it sort of ruins other games, as they just don't just don't stack up after playing RDR2. It can be kind of glitchy, and have little silly, annoying things happen from time to time, but for the size and detail of this game and its map that's nothing unexpected or uncommon. If you're on the fence and debating whether or not to get this game, just goofing around and get it. Take about 2-3 hours to play it until you get through Chapter 1, and you're ... Again, this is the best game ever made, so why would you not buy it if you're looking to purchase a new (to you) game.?.?.? That literally doesn't make sense. The original RDR was a great game. Quite the learning curve, little room for error!
I think this game has quite the learning curve in my opinion. Even strange just a small bit off the path during the mission equals failed. Very little room for mistakes. Now if you do stay with it and get used to all the buttons sequences all the stuff you can do etc, then the game might be actually enjoyable if you enjoy gigantic worlds and tons of side quests along the way. I was hoping it was more of the story based game that had side quests that you could do but most of the time I'm left not knowing what to do and end up doing the wrong thing and bad things happening other words dying, failing the mission. If you can hang with it, and take time to learn all the controls perfectly and have the patience then this game might actually be good. This review is not ... Get ready because it's going to be hard at first but maybe just maybe the reward would be good if you can handle all this and have the patience.... Show more

Red Dead Redemtion 2 is the best video game Rockstar has ever made. To begin with, it has a very good story that hooks you from the beginning to the end.I have already play this game and finished like 3 or 4 times I have done each of its main missions, how the developmentof the band its done, its graphics, as well as how it would seem that the npc have his own life. it has a very good environment that looks real. To complet the compendium, it will be very difficult for you because some animals are very rare to find since they only appear in certains parts of the map and dont leave the place, not like other common animals such as beers, the same with plants, some are so rare that you can only find one per place. That is why the game is more entertaining as it encourage you to explore the map to complete it 100%.Critics may say that if the main missions and the compendium are the only thing I can do when I finished everything will be borring. However there are many random encounters and side missions that can give you rewards such as locations of objects, rare tonics, a treasure map or a especial weapon that can only be obtain with that side mission.... Robbed for GOTY
First things first, this game is so realistic that I half expected tumbleweeds to roll through my living room while playing. The graphics are so jaw-droppingly gorgeous that I couldn't help but stare at the sunset for way too long, completely forgetting I had a mission to complete. Sorry, Arthur, your horse can wait a bit longer!Speaking of Arthur Morgan, our protagonist, he's the definition of a cowboy with heart and charm. He's got more personality than a saloon full of rowdy cowpokes. I found myself getting emotionally attached to him and his ragtag gang of outlaws faster than a bullet leaves a revolver. Now, let's talk about the world they've created. I found myself getting emotionally attached to him and his ragtag gang of outlaws faster than a bullet leaves a revolver. Now, let's talk about the world they've created. It's vast, breathtaking, and full of surprises. I rode through lush valleys, galloped across dusty plains, and stumbled upon hidden treasures that even the most seasoned gold digger would envy. But hey, be careful not to go off the beaten path for too long, unless you want to become dinner for a hungry bear or end up tangling with a group of overzealous bandits. One thing that had me chuckling like a drunken cowboy was the random encounters. From a grumpy fella trying to find his lost dentures to a nudist asking for directions, this game sure knows how to keep you on your toes. I couldn't resist playing the hero and lending a helping hand, even if it meant losing precious time in my quest for redemption. Now, let's address the horse in the room—the horse mechanics. Y'know, I never thought I'd be so attached to a digital equine, but dang it, those horses stole my heart! They're so realistic and responsive that I found myself whispering sweet nothings to my trusty steed, hoping it would make us both gallop faster. And let me tell ya, there's nothing quite like crashing headfirst into a tree and watching poor Arthur get launched like a ragdoll while his horse looks at him with sheer disappointment. Hilarious! All in all, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolute blast, whether you're itching for a gunfight or simply looking to play cowboy dress-up. Just be prepared to get lost in the immersive world, forming bonds with your digital companions, and laughing until your belly aches.
