Red Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Marker

These markers are brilliant in design. The thickness is of perfect precision for any writing hand, be it the left or right hand. Even comfortable for those who use their feet. The cap is ahead of its time, the quick snap-on snap-off mechanism is beyond this world. Finally, the black ink is of pure bliss. One will surely feel like Shakespeare inking a captivating play while they write on a cardboard box. Some have suggested these markers to be of alien technology. You be the judge.

I only use this brand when using permanent pens, they are durable and keep for a LONG time if care is taken. The ink, an inky black, will remain for months as long as the cap is on tight. The permanent pen in fine black writes for a long time without losing color (several hours at least!). The slim shape of the writing instrument is comfortable to write with and the slim tip allows for a finer handwriting. The scent is not to noticeable, and when used as directed, hardly any ink scent is detected. My favorite permanent pen will easily win you over once you try it!

I really like these Ultrafine Sharpies. I like the fact that they are retractable like a pen. Click Click. Once you’re done writing you can retract it and it keeps it from drying out which is far and above putting the cap back on, or forgetting to, or getting it loose and having it dry out. I use mine like a pen for lots of different things, they’re especially great for marking Christmas present labels, or signing cards and doing holiday projects with my kids. My husband has found them useful for doing home repairs. They’re really indispensable. I keep one in my purse with my notebook. I don’t have to worry about it breaking in my purse and leaking all over everything I own, which happened recently. I love putting it on the inside of a folder or inside of a purse pocket where its secured and I can find it easily. The writing comes out even and smooth and not scratchy against paper and I have not noticed any bleed through. I enjoy the smooth writing and the fact that it has the look and brand of Sharpie and it marks things permanently as well. Such as my spray bottles of home cleaning products. I’m able to label it clearly. Ultrafine is so great for making CLEAR and LEGIBLE markings that a thicker marker wouldn’t be able to do as well. Sometimes the clarity of what you’re marking is a matter of safety and I trust Sharpie Ultrafine for all aspects of my life that involve marking things.

Consider this as a Copic competitor

This is what makes them "permananet," the fact that water doesn't wash them off. Being alcohol based also means that you can blend colors without worrying about your nib because the pigment cleans itself out (so, with something like a Crayola marker you wouldn't dream of running yellow over black unless you never want to use that yellow again, right? With a Sharpie, you can run that yellow all over that black and, give it a few scribbles on a scratch piece of paper, you're back to yellow).Second: the brush nib makes blending SO SMOOTH. I also love it for the range of control it give you; you can make a super thin line and a supper thick line all with one marker, all in one hand motion if you so choose. Sharpies don't blend as smoothly as your more expensive artist markers, but, as I said above, they're fantastic for beginners.Third: This is a major downfall, there's not a lot of color choices when it comes to these brush nib Sharpies. Trying to make a piece with a lot of light-to-dark contrast is nearly impossible with most Sharpies as, if you photoshop an image to black and white, most of the colors end up being similar in tone. It's not the worst thing in the world, and Sharpies are budget-friendly enough that you could get other non-brush sets to help with the light/shadow.Fourth: I think they might have reformulated the black Sharpie ink for this set. Anytime I've worked with Sharpies before, I could get a clean-ish gradient until I hit black... black never blended. I would always end up putting a color similar to black down just to create the illusion that black blended. With these, I don't have to do that, the black actually blends.Finally: DO SWATCHES. The issue I have always had with Sharpies is that they don't label their colors with names or numbers, so I can't label my swatches effectively. Fortunately, their caps are usually consistent with the actual color of the markers... except in this 12 piece set. One of the markers, particularly the one that appears to be a dark purple with a pink undertone, is actually super pink... arguably brighter than the actual pink-capped pink.Ultimately, it's a fine set and totally worth giving a shot.

Easy to use, excellent coverage (used on plastic)

I needed 12 picture frames to frame some beautiful calendar prints, but they were an uncommon size that was being discontinued, and the craft store only had 10 left in black. I bought 2 in brown, and an oil based sharpie to paint them black to match. This was the only paint I saw that explicitly said it worked on plastic.I was very pleased with the ease of use and the coverage on the plastic. It was super quick to use (maybe a bit too quick - it was tacky-dry in ~30 seconds on this particular material), and coverage was excellent.There is a light sheen, so it's not totally matte, but I expected that. It's just to be aware. Also, if you hold the frame at an angle or in indirect light, you can see the strokes I used to cover. Extra fine tip by Sharpie and Craftsmart both fail

Tested drawing lines on white envelope first, all was very good. Started using it on partially missing silver lettering on a fabric book cover. Paint did not come out. Pressed point on scrap paper a few times or too hard and pool of paint came out. Dipped pen point in the pool repeatedly and used it like a paint brush. Sharpie and Craftsmart pens behaved the same. Maybe pen tip got clogged with fabric dust. Cleaned tip, did not help. Only Craftsmart thick chisel point paint pen worked properly.

Great & very affordable product for artists

I recently started buying these ultra fine point markers as I needed a more affordable set for traditional inking of my artwork. After using them for about for months, I'm very happy with the results I've received. The ink is truly black and the marker flows smooth on my sketchbook paper.The only downsides are msinly that there is no description on the point size of the marker compared to the competitors. And that the ink sort of flows it a bit too quick, leading to a few uneven lines. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting in my usage.Other than that, this is a great product for illustrators & traditional artists who want high quality while in a budget

My 89 year old mother LOVES using her Sharpies.

During COVID when my 89 year old Mom was in isolation, she discovered adult coloring. She soon realized that the only markers that were perfect were Sharpie ultra fine. She not only colors to decorate her room but she also distributes her masterpieces to her friends in her assisted living center to cheer them up. She has so many Sharpies on her kitchen table that there is little room to eat! We would love to share a video that she recently recorded. Permanent Labels

I asked my students how we could protect our new equipment of keyboards, mice, and headphones from walking out of the classroom. My Career Prep class, which is an advance class told me that there are paint sharpies that can be used to mark the equipment and that it can not be erased off. I bought some ot those paint sharpies and yes, they work. We have our equipment marked accordingly. If it walks out, other teachers can catch it and return to my classroom. I suggested we use these shapies to mark all the equipment from laptops to PCs, calculators, etc. They have not told me yes or no to date.
