Redback LiteSpeed XP Vortex Bodyboard The Redback LiteSpeed XP Vortex Bodyboard is a great value performance bodyboard. It’s super light so you get instant fun, performance and speed on small waves and up. The shape is the same as pro style boards. The tucked in nose makes for charging into turns and good hold. The crescent tail provides a turning point on the rail edge that helps with quick release. You can pivot easily into turns or get total release for that air. There’s bottom channels at the tail so you get a mix of speed and control of water flow. The rails have a 60/40 design so you get additional control going into turns, especially as the waves get sucky, making for heaps of fun. Internally the LiteSpeed ticks lots of boxes. Thermo bond construction guards against de-laminating and bubbling in harsh conditions. The EPS core is rigid so the board holds its line as you drive. It’s also super buoyant. The deck is XPE foam that’s durable, low impact, so you get comfort when you’re surfing. There’s a slick high performance bottom that generates speed as well as providing durability.
