Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment (150ml)

Wow. Ladies and Gents. If you colour your hair, heat style your hair, do anything that inflicts damage on your hair; you need to go get this now. I got this in a travel set (included the Acidic Concentrate Shampoo, conditioner and Leave in) at Chatters for $30.00CDN. I was told if you like Olaplex, this will probably be a good buy. Well I hated Olaplex. It did nothing for my hair. I went through 3 bottles before realizing it just wasn’t meant for me. However, I colour my hair and I work in a super dry environment that takes a toll on my hair, so I need something to give it a healthy dose of love. This product is different as you apply it BEFORE you shampoo. You dampen your hair, pop it on for 5-10 minutes (I can wash my face, shave, etc…) rinse and go on with your showering hair routine. After rinsing your hair, it just feels incredible. Much softer. Even after shampooing your hair still feel soft and repaired. This treatment leaves your hair so healthy and soft. You won’t be able to stop touching it! You will see it too once your hair dries. Frizz is tamed and there is a new life to your hair. After seeing the amazing results I ran out and purchased the full sized container ($34.00) and also bought sets for my mother and sister in law. Both bleach their hair and would greatly benefit. So far rave reviews from both! Give it a go if Olaplex wasn’t (or is) your thing!

Better than Olaplex!

My hair has been highlighted for years, religiously every 6 weeks. A few weeks ago I got a magic sleek treatment and I left with fried orange hair. This was my second treatment and the first was great so I don't say it's the product but instead I think this stylist used too much heat. I used olaplex 3 after and some deep conditioning masks. They helped some but my hair still looked very unhealthy. I tried this redken line and my hair looks like it did before...smooth shiny soft and healthy! I used the treatment and left it in for 20-30 minutes. Then washed with the shampoo and conditioner (I let the conditioner sit for about 10 minutes). I finished with the leave in and my hair looks so great. If you have any damage, I highly recommend this. Big improvement

I'll be honest, the first time I tried the trio (concentrate, shampoo, conditioner) I didn't think it did much besides making my hair slightly softer and smelling delicious. I refrained from leaving a review until I gave it some time. Three weeks later, my hair already feels and looks healthier. It's gained back some shine and it's easier to style. I use all three products every time I wash my hair but noticed that leaving the concentrate on for 30-60 mins under a shower cap works best for my hair. My toddler loves sniffing my hair after I wash it lol will continue using to see if it continues working miracles for my hair. So far I'm extremely happy!!

Colour me Surprised!

I'd read the information about this treatment for the hair and never thought for a minute that it would actually work, I however, was completely wrong. As someone who is hormonal with coloured hair, ever time I was etc, there would be hair wrapped around my fingers or stuck in the comb where I'd combed through conditioner. That was not the case here. I started by dampening my hair as per the instructions and massaged the bonding treatment through my hair which felt odd as a step I'd never taken before washing previously. I then took the recommended amount of the shampoo and massaged into a leather and rinsed. I then applied the conditioner and rinsed as I normally would. After towel drying, I'd expect there to be breakage stuck in my brush , there just wasn't! I'm amazed! I'm going to continue to used and see if the horrible stray little snapped hairs can finally be gone.

Didn't Do Much

Im not sure this product did anything. My hair was left more dry, tangled, and this is after I used the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in treatment. I adore the conditioner and leave in treatment of the acidic bonding concentrate line. I use them all the time and they tame frizz and eliminate tangles. But this particular product made my hair feel worse. The scent appeals to many but to me (and I'm a perfume lover) this was so strong and awful. Absolutely cannot stand the sickening citrus scent. And it lingered very strongly in my hair after using this pre-shampoo treatment. It is not lemon or lime scented, just an odd citrus scent. Maybe it's just my hair type (wavy and dry, color treated and damaged) that this won't work for. I don't know.

Made my hair horribly dry and frizzy

I got this product because I stopped using Olaplex because my hair stylist and friend (who's also a hair stylist) told me to stop using it because it's not the best product for your hair. So when I ran out of my Olaplex I decided to change it up and have always heard good things about Redken, so I thought I'd try it out. When using it it felt horrible in my hair. My hair got extremely dry and kept frizzing up. I do have IBE hair extensions (of which were brand new when I was using the Redken!) and thought it ruined my hair because it kept matting in the back and no matter how much oil I used and brushing I did it would frizz up and tangle again within 30 mins. Makes my hair feel amazing

I used this along with the rest of redkens acidic bonding concentrate line the shampoo, conditioner and leave in. For reference I have long bleached hair, my hair is fine but I have quite a bit of it. My hair has been dull, frizzy,dry and very unmanageable. No matter what I did or how I styled it looked dead. It was so embarrassing.I was about to chop it off to my shoulders but I'm glad I gave this line a try. I could definitely feel a difference the first use of these products. After using my hair looked shiny,soft and most importantly also felt much stronger. To top everything off and after my hair is fully dry I used just a small amount of olaplex no 6 and no 7 mixed together and wow my hair is looking bouncy and full of life. I had amazing results from a sample shampoo/conditioner deluxe sample set so I bought this full size by accident with the shampoo thinking it was the conditioner and then made a second order for the conditioner and used all three as directed and just didn't notice any different results. It was kind of awkward since I'm not sure how much to use and it's a small bottle for the price and after only two or three usages, the bottle is almost empty. I actually then used a dab of the leave in conditioner on my dry areas and then the One United spray. My hair didn't look that great at the styling it was kind of dull and dry looking. The next washings I didn't use this intensive treatment and my hair looked a lot better. It seems like a lot of overkill. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate

I have bleached hair and I began using this 1st. I dampen my hair and go about my business and then shampoo and condition with matching Acidic Redken. I can't say enough of this product. It will harden especially if left on too long. When I get into shower and rinse it is no tangles and So So soft it's unreal. It has taken my over processed blonde dry hair and turned into silky baby blonde strands that look so healthy on its own. I have now added shampoo and conditioner and it's magical healthy hair. I don't get bad reviews. The only thing I can think is those people are using other overly protein etc products which will burn and stiffen your hair up and break off. Relieved that Finally something that made a difference

I have tried several deep conditioning treatments and regimens including Olaplex and nothing, I mean nothing would help my dry unmanageable hair. Firstly I have the worst hair on the planet. It's fine, frizzy and fuzzy. I do have extensions and as a result of using too many heat tools even my extensions were fried. I diligently followed the instructions. As soon as I went to rinse the treatment out I could already feel the difference. I wet my head, towel dried it and applied the treatment one section at a time to make sure it would have the best effect as possible. The shampoo is very thick and rich but without a lot of suds so I could tell it was gentle.
