This actually came with a very generous amount of product in it, more than what is needed for a single application if you have short hair like me. Of course, my over-indulgent self ended up using the entire packet anyway. The consistency of this treatment is like that of a hair mousse mixed with aerosol shaving cream. In other words, the texture is quite heavy and I really would have benefited from using less and perhaps smoothing the product more between my palms before applying. I found it to be rather on the sticky/clumpy side, and the parts that weren’t 100% blended out left a visible film. I also didn’t really care for the smell - something akin to product buildup on a flatiron. Surely this was not the best first impression. Even though the product dried too quickly and felt borderline crunchy where it seemed to be concentrated most, I wanted to give it one last shot of redemption with a quick blow-dry. While I really didn’t like the application process, my hair did look healthier, fluffier, and softer to touch after blow drying and brushing on high heat. Am I going to run out and buy this? Probably not. With a lighter formula, better texture, and more pleasant smell, I would certainly improve my rating.

I really enjoyed the leave-in treatment. I threw a holiday gathering and began ready around 5pm. I finished my hair by 6pm. I decided not to use many hair products except for a little mousse on top of the leave-in. I usually diffuse in the winter to dry faster and also give myself volume but feel I wanted to tested this alone without any additional equipment for the true test. My hair after drying in 3-4 hours still appeared wet and my curls lose. I actually ended my night at 4am and my hair still appeared hydrated, moisturized and wet but not wer to the touch. I plan on testing it with all other hair products I used as well as diffusing. I am definitely interested in trying other products from this redken series.

Once I was out I towel dried my hair and then got a pea sized amount of leave in conditioner, rubbed together with my hands and then applied to my hair. I did use a hair dryer and wow first thing I couldn’t believe was that it definatly did help with detangling my hair usually my hair is so tangled it’s a nightmare. Another thing I noticed it smelled amazing!!!!! Once dried my hair felt so soft minus the frizz. Usually I can’t find the perfect combo of frizz and softness! But these worked amazingly on my hair. I had literally no fly always and my hair looks really healthy. I would give this a 10/10 it’s amazing it’s actually really given me a confidence boost as my hair looks amazing!
