Redken Color Extend Blondage Shampoo (1 Litre)

As someone with bleached platinum hair, I'm always on the lookout for a shampoo that can keep my hair looking vibrant and healthy. The Redken Color Extend Blondage Shampoo is hands down the best product I've found for maintaining my color and keeping my hair in great condition. From the first use, I noticed a significant difference in the tone of my hair - it was brighter, more vibrant and free of any brassiness. The shampoo is also incredibly nourishing and leaves my hair feeling soft, smooth and shiny. Truly, I have never used a purple shampoo that left my hair soft until this one. BEST for curly highlights!

I have naturally curly hair that I recently began to highlight. Tried a plethora of purple shampoo but have not found one as effective as Redkens. It contains SLS which is OKAY to use if you know how you're using it! I clarify with Redkens clarifying shampoo 1x every 2 weeks and alternate on the off week of clarifying with this purple shampoo. I often use silicones in my curl care products as I live in a humid climate. To avoid the "drying" effects of the SLS I follow with a hydrating mask for ~10 min. BEAUTIFUL volume from removing the silicones and BEAUTIFUL toning! I use a bit on my scalp only to clean, rinse, then follow with more product which I leave on for ~5min and get a really nice second lather after the buildup is removed the first time. Best purple shampoo

I'll never use another purple shampoo. I've tried plenty of brands, pureology, joico, matrix, to name a few and although I didn't necessarily dislike them, redkin is the best of all. I like my hair ashy, so once that toner fades I use this with every wash. It deposits so great that my hair stays ashy until my next appointment. Love love love it. I'll also use the purple mask they have once every few weeks too, and that's another amazing product.

Beware, it'll leave your hair DRY and DAMAGED

I haven't changed anything in my hair care routine except this. The first time I used it, meh it did the job and made my hair a lot brighter. Mind you I only use this twice a month because purple shampoo is so harsh. The second time I used this, HOLY DRYNESS. It literally sucked every bit of moisture out of my hair and turned my hair silver, which was fine, but I looked like a hag due to the frizz. I've never experienced such harshness from a product. I've had to completely reset my hair by not putting any heat or this shampoo on my hair for a month. It ruined my hair for my graduation and I couldn't be anymore disappointed in this product. Highly pigmented

I have natural ash blonde hair that I highlight about every 4 months. My natural blonde is probably on the lighter to medium ash so I can get away with highlighting less than others maybe, but this purple shampoo really helps extend the life of the color in addition to keeping away the dreaded yellow tones that afflict highlighted or blonde colored hair It's a highly pigmented, deep violet color with no blue tones (which I personally hate in purple shampoo). I use it about twice a week then I follow with my regular shampoo and conditioner. If I am in a hurry I just mix the two shampoos together, using slightly more purple than regular. The consistency is slightly runnier than my previous purple shampoo (pure blends violet) but I think the redken does a better job so I can look past this. Definitely worth the money for me

I would definitely buy this product again

I absolutely LOVE this product! I love having blonde and I hate when it gets brassy so this is the perfect fix. I created the most beautiful mix of blonde and dark and have gotten so many compliments since I started using the Blondage. The smell is amazing as well and keeps my hair smelling good all day long. Just wow!

I don't leave many reviews, but I felt I had to after using this for the first time! I have long, thick, heavily blonde highlighted hair. I have been a Joico purple balance lover for years, but wanted to give something else a try. I read many reviews on numerous brands, and went into Ulta, after returning Beachwaver BRB purple shampoo. The girl at the salon recommended the Redken over Joico, and it was on sale, so I went for it. I was absolutely WOWED when I got out of the shower, and after brushing out my hair(no tangles which was a good start), and towel drying it, I could immediately tell it was noticeably lighter! As it air dryer, it lightened up to the beautiful icy blonde I leave the salon with! Definitely will be switching to this, although I still love Joico!

The best yet !

I have been using this shampoo with the conditioner for awhile now. It's the best yet ! It's pricey, but so worth it ! If you want to keep your highlights looking good as new and not worry about the orange that can come along with it, buy this. You won't be disappointed. Also, leave both shampoo and conditioner on for at least 5-10 mins depending on how bright you want to go. It will not hurt your hair by leaving it on there for 5-10 mins. You can also use the shampoo on dry hair, leave it to soak a few mins, then raise of course. The smell is amazing! Highly recommend.

Would buy again

I got a balayage so I needed purple shampoo. I have always loved Redkin products so this was a no brainer.I did notice the shampoo dries out my hair ALOT. That is probably why it is recommended to buy the partner conditioner too.The instructions said to put on gloves. I did not and my hands were not discolored, but my nails were. Not a big deal for me but maybe for others. To each their own! But I liked it and will probably purchase again.

this is the best purple shampoo i've used

this shampoo really works. i use it once every other week to keep my blonde highlights toned. it is very messy. you will get purple spots all over the place no matter what. it lathers well, if you shampoo your hair first. I usually use my regular shampoo first, rinse, then use this purple shampoo and conditioner after. i've left it on too long before and it turned my hair slightly silver/purple for a couple days. it didn't look bad though so I wasn't upset. overall I like this product.
