One the absolute best demi permanent glosses on the market. I use a mix of 10VG, 10T, and 10P to tone my hair to a bright white platinum color but have used tons of different shades including reds, blacks, and fashion tones like the blush toned VRO series. It looks scary while processing, especially on blondes, but it's so gorgeous when you rinse and the shine is crazy! Your hair feels smooth and soft and it seems to help cut dryness after bleaching as well. The color is definitely very temporary, but with proper sealing after toning and post color care, the fading is very natural and remains good looking between touchups.... Show more

Hi there, last year was one of the most difficult years in my life, my credit was bad, I mean I had a low score of about 591. I did all I could to raise my credit score to its normal state but no avail. I had a lot to do but couldn’t due to the negative items on credit report. But somehow, I contacted ROOTKITS CREDIT SPECIALIST, after reading various reviews and testimonies on credit magic. Initially I just wanted to satisfy my emotion but to my greatest surprise they really made a difference. ROOTKITS CREDIT SPECIALIST not only increased my credit profile, they monitored my credit score and track it, and they helped me get the financial respect I deserve. They also advise me on how to stay away from unhealthy financial lifestyles. What can I say? This year is going ... I absolutely love Redken Shades Eq. This no lift liquid toner packs in the coverage and the quality. Shades Eq is my go to toner for blondes, brunettes, and red Heads. Shades comes in so many colors it’s a brilliant way to customize your clients. Easy to use and fun to formulate. Very low maintenance for your clients. I would recommend that your clients schedule every 6-8 weeks for re growth!!... Show more

I love this toner in the shades opal glow, chrome, and platinum ice. I bleach my hair, and I have always struggled with losing at least a small amount of hair integrity after bleaching, but since I made the switch to a more acidic toner, my hair feels much softer after a bleach and tone session. I like to mix equal parts chrome, opal glow, and platinum ice, and it gives me a nice icy blonde look without looking too ash and making my hair appear darker. If you are using Wella or another brand from Sally's to tone your hair, I strongly recommend making the switch to Redken. Even though the price is a bit more expensive, I find I use a lesser amount of product with this toner compared to Wella brand so it's really not that much more expensive all things considered.... Awful, worst toner!
I was very excited to have this done, much to my disappointment it damaged my hair worse than hair dye and made my hair look flat and awful. I was told it wouldn't cause damage or be permanent and that I could put it on my natural hair without risk - this was a lie. I did research and everything seemed to back that up...but it isn't true. I wanted simply to cancel out some warm tones in my hair, requested the shades eq because my hair is to my waist and natural and I actual like the natural color, short of the excessive warmth. My hair was VERY HEALTHY and took almost four years to grow. Now all the way to my roots I have frizzy broken hair. ONE use of this redken and my hair is ruined. My hair was VERY HEALTHY and took almost four years to grow. Now all the way to my roots I have frizzy broken hair. ONE use of this redken and my hair is ruined. It also flattened out every natural highlight. It has a weird dull sheen, no sparkle like my natural colour. My ends were lightened slightly with a toning level 9ash blonde dye and they were lovely, she told me they would only be improved by shades eq and since it was freshly dyed it was a great idea....they got darker and all the beautiful sparkling yellow gold wiped out. I've been rinsing it for two weeks, it has barely budged despite the healthy condition of my hair when she did it and I swear there are more and more fly-away broken hairs every day. This is the biggest regret I have, I thought dying the last 3 inches of ends was a big step because she used 30vol to lift them, they were healthier after being processed than my natural hair is after the shades EQ. I 110% regret it. It will be another four years before my hair can grow out entirely and be as beautiful as it was root to tip, smooth and shimmering highlights in the sun.....destroyed by this stupid gimmic. Don't trust your hair dresser, they are lying. Unless you've gone platinum and already ruined your hair - DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Show more

Great Stuff!
This product mixes easily and applies easily. The liquid thickens when the two are mixed together. It has a nice, light scent with no chemical smell. I have natural, light blonde hair. I get lowlights about three times a year to darken it some. The blonde is pale, with no depth so I mix equal parts 10N, 10VV and 00 (clear) and process for 30 min. This gives my blonde more depth so that the lowlights blend better. The shine is amazing and doesn't fade away quickly nor does the toning effect.... Show more

Long lasting color and high shine!
First off I'd like to state that for a gloss, the lasting power is incredible. The color lasted longer than some permanent dyes I have used. Now, for the rest of my review...Revlon Shades EQ will likely be the ONLY dye I will use on my hair from here on out. The consistency is a thin, watery and almost gel-like which makes distributing the product very easy. I'm a big fan of mixing colors to create more dimensional hair colors, and shades EQ is perfect for that. My current color is a mix of 3RV and 3RV which indoors appears to be a very rich and sultry brunette, but outdoors gleams and reflects luxurious shades of red and hints of violet. As previously stated, the color lasts a very long time (6 to 8 weeks). I found the gloss to be non-damaging, very conditioning ... My current color is a mix of 3RV and 3RV which indoors appears to be a very rich and sultry brunette, but outdoors gleams and reflects luxurious shades of red and hints of violet. As previously stated, the color lasts a very long time (6 to 8 weeks). I found the gloss to be non-damaging, very conditioning and it delivers a shine that leaves your looking incredibly healthy. This color gloss IS suitable for extensions, I used 2 bottles total of the color gloss to dye my Bellami extensions. The color gloss didnt do any damage to my extensions and actually left them feeling healthier (which may have to do with olaplex) and restored the original shine that they had when I first purchased them.If you've ever used the L'oreal Preference dyes from Sally's, I find those to be an adequate dupe and is what I used previously, however Shades EQ is significantly more conditioning and less than damaging then the L'oreal dye and in my experience lasts much longer. Shades EQ is a little more pricey, but in my opinion worth the price difference. Each bottle is 2oz and meant to be used in a 1:1 ratio with the processing solution. My hair is past collarbone length and VERY thick, and I needed 3oz total (1 1/2 bottles) of the color gloss, which i mixed with 3oz of processing solution. I used a mixing bowl and standard tint brush to apply, however because of the consistency of the product I do believe that even application of the gloss can be easily achieved with an applicator bottle as well.I did use Olaplex in my color formula and post gloss i followed up with the two step Aphogee treatment and use Joico K-Pak shampoo and conditioner, Healthy Sexy Hair leave in conditioner and coconut oil after every washing. I find this combination of products to be best for my hair and recommend this regimen in addition to using Redken Shades EQ.The only cons to this product are that it does still smell like hair dye even though its a gloss (so open your windows during application), and it does stain clothing so do not wear light colored clothing when hair is wet after the first two or three times of washing hair after application, and of course don't wear clothes you care about while applying the product.... Product was rotten, seller didn’t care
I have ordered this product a few times and 2 of those times now I have received bad product. When the dye goes bad, it’s unusable. The dye I received was goopy and dark with crust along the outer rim.I reached out to the seller with pictures and videos hoping they would issue a replacement, but they were extremely rude and offered no apologies nor remedies....
