Deep red/purple colour and stony, ferrous, crushed rock aroma. Not at all fruity or particularly cabernet-like. It’s a lean, slim-waisted wine with refined texture and tight structure. Long carry. A wine to cellar. It looks a little under-fruited now but time often reveals great character in these wines. It is certainly elegant and intense. 91 points. Drink to 2038.
