These pants are well made but the sizing is all over the place. I order my usual 36x32 in brown they fit great. When I get them in desert or tan they're very tight and uncomfortable. I'm done trying to get these to fit. Glad they discontinued them. I'm not sure if that is the irregularity or not. I could not find any flaws otherwise.

A little disappointed

The pants i received are to replace the style I last ordered, but there is no comparison. What i ordered was 100 percent cotton. These are a combination of fibre and not as heavy. My son works on the tracks. I am not certain how they will stand up. This order took a long time to ship to Canada. Rather than go through that again, i have chosen to keep them.

I had an issue with my last pair of Carhartts but decided to give them another chance as before that last pair they were always awesome.Take caution with these pants. They are VERY comfortable although I recommend trying them on as they fit a bit small at the waist. However, they are extremely quick to catch fire and once on fire they burn fast. I am a framer. Today, cutting through a 2x8 I hit a couple nails. No big deal, my blade needed to be replaced anyways. What I didn't expect was to look down and see my pants on fire from a few sparks. They burned so fast, a few seconds was all it took to make a sizeable hole and give me 2nd degree burns. I attached a picture of the burn hole, taken after I was bandaged up.I don't know if it's the material or maybe a ... MoreI had an issue with my last pair of Carhartts but decided to give them another chance as before that last pair they were always awesome.Take caution with these pants. I definitely expected more from one of the most expensive work pants on the market. If you aren't hands on or work in the office, these pants are awesome. If you are a tradesperson - DO NOT BUY!!

Carhartt ripstop cargo pants (actually used hard).
25 December 2021

Really tough pants that wear well.I wore my previous pair (bought lightly used) for months. I cut many cords of firewood with them and wore them to my day job as well. The only downside was that the pockets on the right side would fill with sawdust. I had to empty them before washing or else the “man-glitter” would show up in the dryer. They did eventually wear out at the boot line from wear and tear.It was really hard to find a new pair. I had to check several stores in different towns until I finally found one with some in stock.

Decent, not great
24 January 2021

I tried these pants, wanted to love them but they just weren’t for me. I love it when you can buy pants that are half sizes in the waist. I wear 35 - hard to find. These pants are a great concept but for work the pockets didn’t seem to be designed for anything specific. Not a pencil sleeve, wasn’t right for screwdriver or wrench. The worst thing was the material. Maybe some don’t mind the stiff material but it drove me crazy when I tried them on. If the smaller pockets were designed for specific tools and there was some kind of spandex blend to take the edge off how tight they felt it would be a winner, but as they are I just couldn’t make them work.

Disappointed. Nothing like the B342. I bought one pair and I should have sent them back.
14 February 2023

Bring back the B342. Carhartt went backwards making these. They are nothing like the B342.No Cordura in the back pockets, Front pockets are smaller not as deep, Material is thinner feels weak, Cargo pockets are smaller, No openings for Knee Pads. There was nothing wrong with the B342 I've been wearing the last 10ish years. Well… they should have put a hammer loop on the right side also. Disappointed with Carhartt on this make. Carhartt is supposed to be Strong and Tuff not Thin and Weak.I bought one pair of these put them on and right away they felt small and material thin. Design work and Material suck. And what kinda hammer loop is that.?! So high up on the pants and my hammers can't fit in there.

Great buy. Great product.
26 July 2023

These are the most durable work pants I've ever owned. They far outlast denim. I get a couple or three years out of each set I buy. and that is wearing them two or three days each week. The price is more than reasonable and they would be a bargain if they cost twice as much. Goodbye blue jeans!

Great wintertime work/hunt pants
13 December 2019

I have two pair of these pants. First pair was purchased last year strictly for hunting. With lots of time in a deer stand, these pants kept the wind off me and kept me warm. They are a little larger than what the size states, but still fit well and are comfortable. The rip stop material is tough and can take some serious abuse. I have since been wearing them for work on the farm and they are still holding up well. The only complaint I would state is that on me, the corner of the pockets fall right above my knee and with the thick material in that area, can cause a little irritation. Other than that, no complaints, just wish there were more colors to choose from. I will purchase again when needed.

Nice fabric material
6 September 2021

The main feature for me was the fabric/material. They’re lightweight enough to wear on warm days and heavy enough for cooler weather. As far as all the complaints of the pockets being too low or by the knee so far it hasn’t been an issue. I put an occasional screwdriver or cell phone or hand pruners in the pockets no problem. The rip stop material was the main deciding factor for me. They don’t stay wet or dirty for long and easy to brush off dirt and debris once it dries. I’m in the landscape industry for 25+ years and these work out well for me! It’s a good fit too. I’m a little slim in the legs and waist and they seem to fit true. No weird bagginess or tightness in them. Two thumbs up

Perfect Work Pants
23 October 2020

These pants are great. Very heavy, tough material. You can feel the quality when you put them on. I’ve always loved rip stop material and double knee, and this has both. Big cargo pockets for tools and hardware at work. They even have a reinforced area on the front pocket to clip a pocket knife to. Excellent product. Will not disappoint, especially at Moose Jaw’s price. Two of my coworkers complimented me on these work pants and then made their own purchase after seeing me in them on the first day.
