I found this shaver very comfortable to use and quite lightweight. At first I was applying a bit too much pressure, from using other shavers. I found that due to the closeness of the shave it was getting too close and cause skin irritation and redness. After this I adjusted to very light pressure and found it was still giving me a very close shave. The shave was ergonomic and easy to hold. The ball head was useful as it made minor movements to cater for the contours of my face and allowed me to cut cleanly everywhere without needing to go back and forth excessively. Charging was straightforward with USB as I could plug into existing USB chargers and not require another dedicated charging brick.

Remington Limitless X5 device is awesome, gives smooth shave (even with dry shaving), no rashes or cuts, much lesser hair dropping everywhere (less cleaning). Light unit with rechargeable battery, no cables while shaving. Replaceable trimmer head included for when you don’t want to shave, no size settings with it though. Note: I haven’t tried with water/foam.

This is the 3rd electric shaver I've had. It definitely shaves closer and faster than the others. I have a beard but I like to keep my neck stubble free. This shaver struggled to shave my neck at first, but after my skin got used to it, it works quite well. It's not a completely clean shave but this may also improve with regular use. However it causes no irritation at all. The shaver is very easy to clean and is light and comfortable in my hand. I recommend it.

I found this shaver very comfortable to use and quite lightweight. At first I was applying a bit too much pressure, from using other shavers. I found that due to the closeness of the shave it was getting too close and cause skin irritation and redness. While this is certainly not a high end shaver it gets the job done. Nice feel and grip ( on the light side). The heads don’t slide as smoothly over the skin on a dry shave but works well with a light lather of shaving cream. Remarkably close shave on the difficult neck area (actually better than a pricier shaver). Not a fan of the usb charging ( it only includes the cable) but would be perfect for travel. If the battery dies, a few minutes of charge will allow you to do a quick shave with no problem.
It took about 10 days for my face and whiskers to become use to the shaver. I have used a blade shaver mainly for 30 plus years. While on Army Exercises I used a battery shaver to knock down the whiskers off while in the field and this shaver would also do the same and the ease of cleaning. The USB charging is good and it will be good to use with a power bank to keep charged. The shaver is nice to hold and very comfortable. Once I got use to the shaver my shaving time was reduced back to almost the same as the blade shaving time. Having to shave 4 days a week for work and other times when attending military training my face has dried out a bit but using an after shave lotion has helped reduce the dry skin. This product was very disappointing. The main issue I found was a red, saw neck every time I used it. The flexing blades moved with the contours of my face, but felt more like they were being pushed over rather than gliding over. The 360º pivot ball doesn't really offer any advantage as it doesn't move that much and the shave comfort rings were a complete fail. The cut wasn't close or consistent enough either. So you would think I am used to a high end shaver to compare this to... no, I only have a $30 Aldi shaver that is a much better product than this offering from Remington. If I had bought this shaver, I would absolutely take advantage of the 60 day money back guarantee!
Overall I was quite happy with the X5, it was surprisingly robust and with the pivot ball, I was able to get those hard to reach curved areas along my chin line which is challenging at the best of times!! The machine itself is significantly lightweight and easy to handle and manoeuvre. The head itself lifts open so that you can empty and clean the excess hair it has captured without making too much mess; one tip in the bin or toilet and you’re ready to continue! The blades cut perfectly against eyes skin and give you that close shave feeling, the beard trimmer was powerful and cut through my thick beard in no time and made the shave light work. My only criticism would be that it was surprisingly difficult to shave under the nose area (moustache) I found that I had ... I trimmed my beard to a 3mm length before I began, a length not too long that it gets caught but long enough to make it difficult for the shaver. Not to mention the fact that you can take care of business in the shower if so desired. First attempted to use dry on some relatively long facial hair, but that was a no go. Instantly the catching and pulling was too much to handle. Perhaps this issue may be ameliorated with the use of gel or cream, but that’s not normally what I use, so can’t comment. After trimming down with some clippers, the shaver handled the rest of the task admirably. Nice, clean shave. I used it to shave around a goatee to test its precision.
