Remington Personal Haircut Kit

The hair clippers were exactly as described, but arrived a little late because of the Covid-19 restrictions. That isn't Kogan's fault, so I forgive the delay. I cut my partner's hair with them the second day after delivery. They cut his fine baby-fine hair easily, and the entire haircut took 10 minutes, much shorter than the 25 minutes it takes me when I give him a haircut manually with scissors. I love them.

A Cheap and Easy solution to a Pandemic-induced Head of Hair.

I was at desperation point - twelve weeks without a haircut and no prospect of the barber opening for a couple of more weeks at least. For less than the price of my normal haircut, I bought the Remington Personal Haircut Kit, and the expenditure included the delivery costs. With the provided clip-on-hair-length combs, cutting the sides was relatively easy (my little friend insisted on trimming the back of my head). There's not much on the top of my head so the comb and scissors dealt with that competently. The overall result? Almost as good as I get from my trusted barber - and after a couple of days growth, no-one would be able to tell the difference. Next time, I might attempt a crew cut, a buzz-cut, a Mohawk, or a mullet. Fantastic Value

Bought this due to lockdown - a basic essentials hair cutter. Works very well - excellent value - pays for itself first time. Just watch a few youtube videos and you will now how to cut and fade. You might need your partner to help - but there's even a youtube video on how to do it yourself.The scissors are a bit naff - but the clippers work perfectly.

Great product! Used on my son for Christmas and he happy with his new at-home-do. I love how their was a part payment option and it arrived in time for our holiday festivities. It even comes with some sizzors making the job way easier! Would definitely recommend

Gutless

Bought it from BigW to replace a 10year old clipper, took it out of the packaging and oiled the blades but when I went to use it, it was gutless...... We wanted a mains one because it's not used all of the time and batteries go over time. I have thick hair and the blade doesn't cut it cleanly, it clogs and pushes the hair when there's too much. I wonder how big the motor is in the higher end model? this one is only 5.5W. Fine for small trims but not full cuts. I wanted to return it but would feel bad to do it to the BigW staff

Haircut gone wrong - Product excellent!

Highly rate this set. My sons mate who ‘can cut hair’ went straight for the centre-front of my sons head (whom had a fringe down to his chin). Needless to say, the sharp blade gave a super nice buzz cut! They were so horrified, they left the sides and the mullet-looking back so now I have a teen with an old-man hairdo. The boys are obviously impressed with the sharp look of the buzz cut, as my son has proudly worn this style for the past few weeks (when he’s not wearing a hat). So, I recommend you use the multiple attachments that come with this set, as I suggested to my son, and start at the back so if you have the length wrong, you may be able to salvage. The product itself is awesome. Great price, excellent quality and super sharp cutting blades. A+

Perfect for every week haircuts.

My wife bought this for me a few weeks ago because the barber was always closed during Covid and its great and easy to use we even used it on the dog once. Its very safe and easy to use and its affordable and will save you lots of money over time by doing it at home. Highly recommended never have any problems cleaning it and using it.

Remington Personal hair kit

The kit was very disappointing. The electric clipper cut but the scissors were absolutely blunt. They would only just cut through the thinnest piece of hair. Not what you want when you wish to tidy up hair during lockdown. The cape was just like a very thin black rubbish sack and one of the ties broke off almost immediately.

Terrible. Didn’t work once!

Bought this a fortnight ago, took it out of the packaging and put it away for when it was needed. Plugged it in, and no power! Wouldn’t even turn on, despite trying it in every power point in the house, it was completely dead. I have bought two of these before and both have slowed down to the point of being unable to cut hair properly, I keep buying them because they’re cheap. This one didn’t even work! Never again. Terrible quality, better of spending the money on one that is decent.
