After going blonde, it has been so important using products and tools on my hair that won’t damage or break my hair. After trialing this product I can defineitly say I am very happy with how this product left my hair feeling. Unlike some straighteners I feel they leave your hair dry and frizzy this one has a temperature control allowing you to set the temperature for your hair type. Beautiful feel in your hand and works great to keep those frizzy bits stray! I would recommend the Remington shea soft hair straightener to all my family & friends!

Though I must say that it does straighten and smooth the hair well. I liked that the packaging was made with sustainable materials, no plastic bags in sight. I was a little disappointed that it took so long to heat up, even on the lowest setting. I also found that the outside does get quite warm too (there’s a little label warning you about this) which makes it harder to style with if you can only use one hand. I’d say this is a good option for those needing a second straightener or who are only looking to straighten their hair once in a while. I was kindly gifted this product for review.

This straightener is really nice. It heats up so fast within 30 seconds it’s hot enough to start straightening your hair. I have really long thick hair and I was able to straighten my hair in 9 mins. The instructions tell you to have it on the lowest heat setting and then work your way up to 230c & that the light will stop flashing once the heat has reached the temp you want it on, which took 10 minutes for it to stop flashing but it heats up soo fast anyways you can start straightening within 30 seconds.Leaves your hair silky and smooth.I couldn’t find many negative reviews on nz websites but had a look on Amazon and I don’t agree with a lot of the bad ones. Remington is my fav brand for hair styling products and had few products before and previous hair straightener from Remington lasted 7 years so I bought this one as a replacement and unfortunately was far worse than the older one I had. It’s doesn’t have digital display, it’s very light and feels like is not holding hair well between their plates. I have a thick hair and it takes 3 times per section to straighten my hair, that’s disappointing
Love my Shea soft hair straightener. I bought it yesterday and am blown away by the results. It's so lightweight that it barely weighs anything which is great because I have a torn tendon in my arm and there's no pain when I use it. It leaves my hair so silky soft and straight. I misplaced my GHD straightener and bought this one. I am so happy with this straightener and I also bought the Shea soft hair-dryer. A match made in heaven. Thank you Remington.
This hair straightener gets my hair smooth and silky. The ceramic plates are smooth and glide effortlessly. I have coarse, textured hair so I use the the 410 or 450 degree. Although the temperature is high, it did not burn my hair and I was able to get my hair silky straight in one pass. The flat iron heats up quickly and the temperature stays consistent. It also has a auto shut off feature which is a great safety feature. Overall this flat iron is great and I can get smooth hair with minimal damage.
Bought these to replacean old set of GHDs. Was a bit suspiciousof the price but decided to give them a go for 20!My hair is very thick and curly and usually straighten it the night before to avoid unnecessary kinks. These have been truly amazing and I don't say that lightly. They tsje a little longer to heat up at the max temp, but when they do, they straighten my hair perfectly. So much so, I can now wash & straighten my hair and go out without fear of kinks. They gave definitely surprised me for the price and if you register them, you get 3 year warranty. Best 20 I've spent in a long time.
I am always on the look out for hair styling products since I travel a lot. I needed a new flat iron was a excited to try the Shea Soft straightener. I heats fast which is a must. During use I noticed that my hair felt unusually softer. The straightening effect was great. It was easy to use and maneuver although it did get a little warm while using. I definitely noticed a difference in the softness of my hair after using this straightener. Good product. I would recommend
