Vintage A is the head that changed the world in 1957! Constructed of 2-ply 7.5- and 3-mil polyester film, this drumhead changed the art of drumming around the world as the first successful alternative to calf heads. The first Weatherking Drumhead was made of newly introduced Mylar from DuPont. 7 mil and 3 mil ply films were combined to make the first AMBASSADOR drumhead. It was the drumhead that changed the sound of the world. History The growth of the drum-set as a popular musical instrument became a reality the day Ringo Starr appeared with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. That day, the drum-set boom took off and Remo Drumheads went with it.
