As soon as I massaged the cleanser into my skin I noticed irritation on my eyes and the tops of my cheeks- specifically on the orbital bone much like the irritation I get from facial SPF. It didn't leave behind any clear signs of irritation, no redness or bumps, just a tender feeling where every product that touched the area after felt extremely cold whilst giving me a slight 15-20 second burning sensation. Logic delicates discontinuing use but another part of me that can't bare to part with skincare tells me it's not bad enough to remove it from my routine so I'm going to use as much of it as I can in the hopes of finishing the bottle and moving back on to my favourite Ren Jelly Cleanser.

Awesome Product - Terrible Packaging

Bring back the clear pump bottles! About the Packaging: I love that REN supports environmental protection. I also love the product itself (see more below). But the current packaging (green-colored, plastic squeeze bottle) is terrible. When the squeeze bottle appears empty (because none is coming out anymore) - that's actually not the case. The only way to get the entire product out of the bottle is to cut the bottle open across the top (opposite the cap). I'm able to wash my face at least 5 times with the remaining product that would've otherwise been thrown away. After cutting it open, I have to keep the cut-open plastic bottle in a plastic bag to prevent water from going inside it while I use the rest of the product that I paid for. Also, water builds up in the cap, which makes it frustrating to move it from the shower to sink.Either REN is not testing their own packaging, or they are aware this is happening and don't care, or at least not enough to make changes. Either way - its unacceptable.Also, I noticed with my most recent purchase that the product itself felt and looked more thick, which wasn't really a positive change... If REN is changing the product try to fit the packaging now (making it more thick so more comes out) - that is a very bad decision - I'd rather not have an unnecessary amount of a thickening agent in the product so that it works with a terrible bottle - and it's also ineffective, because I still had to cut the bottle open anyway.You're better than this REN.The previous clear pump bottle was fantastic. It looked relatively sleek and fit the price, pumped out every last bit of the product, and you could see how much product was remaining. REN, please just admit your mistake and bring the pump back - or come up with a better solution.About The Product: Putting the most recent new thickness (as mentioned above) aside, the product feels smooth, mild, and leaves my skin feeling soft. It never causes my dry and sensitive skin to break out or feel tight. I love that it has a neutral, mild scent - it's practically odorless. I hate floral, perfumery, or any strong scents, so it is perfect for me. It doesn't remove color-stay or waterproof makeup, but that's okay, because that's not what I need this to do. It is absolutely perfect for my morning routine and nights I'm not wearing makeup. I sometimes mix a tiny bit of this in my palm with my exfoliating cleansers and it helps to prevent them from being too harsh on my skin.

Best cleanser for sensitive skin!

This was gifted by REN. I have been using this cleansing milk for about two weeks now. It has become a staple skincare product when removing my makeup. This cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin. It is creamy and does not irritate my skin. It also does not strip away my natural oils. I love that it contains natural ingredients sunflower seed oil, fennel seed extract, shea butter & other clean ingredients. This is a great choice for anyone that wants to minimize their exposure to harmful chemicals. Another plus is that the packaging is recyclable.

Okay so, this was the second facewash I tried. I was also doing the text with an esthetician thing. First I will say, I am a licensed cosmetologist and I am not convinced that the people they have texting you are actually licensed estheticians. I spoke with two of them and neither seemed to know what they were talking about, either about skin, OR the products available. Both of them led me astray about the two facewashes I tried.Anyway, this facewash doesn't lather, which is fine. It is very thin. It does not remove makeup. The description does not claim that it removes makeup, but the so called esthetician said that it would.Also, I don't know why REN is making so many face washes where you have so many steps, but, just a little clue: people want less steps. If you don't wear much makeup and want every time you wash your face to seem like a spa experience and you have the time to maintain that, this might work for you. Although, it still isn't of much substance. I was having to use huge amounts compared to my last facewash. You have to massage it on, then rinse, then....wipe it off?? Similar to the oil cleanser that I also tried. I don't feel like my skin is getting clean when I have to wipe the remainder of the facewash off when I am finished using it. Maybe that's just me. The third and hopefully final facewash is on its way to me. Hopefully it's great.One more thing about the estheticians. The second one I spoke with told me to let her know how I liked the second facewash. She is the one who told me it would remove makeup. I told her it did not. Then she said, "oh that one doesn't do that. The two you tried are the only ones we have that remove makeup." She contradicted what she previously told me and contradicted herself right then. Then I looked at the website and found three other facewashes that say in the description that they remove makeup. So I wouldn't recommend you text with the esthetician if you want sound advice. Maybe go see a dermatologist.

Fantastic Cleanser for Chemical Peels

I needed a gentle and calming cleanser to use once I started getting chemical peels, so I was sent this product at the perfect time! After getting TCA, salicylic acid, and jessner peels every 2 weeks for a year and a half, I was left unhappy with my regular gentle cleanser and began the hunt for a good one that wouldn't cause irritation. I found that most other cleansers were medicated or left my skin stripped, tight, and stinging. Great calming cleanser

I was experiencing some skin redness and wanted to try a cleanser which would not further irritate my skin. The REN cream cleanser was a great option; it can either be used with water or just as a cream cleanser (wipe off with a face cloth). I've been using it for the last 6 weeks and it has not caused any breakouts, and it's very gentle on the skin so the product achieves what it's set out to do. I use it as part of a double cleanse proceess each night. I feel that it does need to be gently wiped off with a wet cloth (and I have oily skin so I cannot stand any greasy residue but this cleanser didn't have that issue). It doesn't have a strong fragrance, it doesn't sting the skin and can be used daily. It leaves my skin soft and clean. I don't know what I would do without this

I truly love this cleanser and have been using it for years. I have very sensitive skin (Seb. Derm. and rosacea) that dries out so easily. Even the most "gentle" products make my face all red and feel stiff and dry after using. I know people say this product leaves a film, but for me it feels more like its just not stripping my face of it's natural moisture. It's the only product I've found that doesn't. It takes care of my lighter everyday makeup as well, saving me from using a harsh remover most days. I find most fragrance irritating, and this does have fragrance, but luckily it has never been a problem for me.

So gentle and moisturizing

My search for the perfect cleanser stopped when I found this gem! I didn't realize how harsh my past facial cleansers were on my skin until a lovely Sephora employee suggested this! I've been using the gentle cleansing milk for roughly 4 years and I absolutely love it. It's very calming and moisturizing for my sensitive and dry skin.I find it helpful to remove my makeup with a make up remover/cloth first so that I can soak in all the calming goodness this cleanser has to offer (plus I've found it doesn't always remove a full face of makeup, but that's fine by me).This cleanser was the gateway to my love of many REN products. I love to pair this with the AHA tonic, glow and protect serum and global day cream.
