Good daytime picture quality. The mobile app is great and it is very easy to install. Don't even have to scan a barcode. Night-time picture quality is very poor. The cameras come up on the display randomly and not in order and again in a different order on the mobile app.

I was previously using the 8-channel NVR and knew I would eventually have to go to the 16ch. I have always looked at this unit and I eventually purchased it when I saw the price go down for the holidays. I was already running 8 cameras and needed to install a few more and I just needed to get this one as it had more ports for the additional cameras. The first thing I did to this unit was to upgrade the HDD to a 4TB purple. I saw in some reviews that others were complaining about certain issues, fortunately for me I have had none of those issues with my device. You can hear the fan running as you enter the room but if its a bother you can always swap it out with a quieter fan which I have done on my 3D printers. I also think that the cameras are very affordable and not as expensive as a lot of the others out there, this is actually the reason I purchased this unit (camera prices are reasonable). My unit came with 4 cameras when I purchased the 8 channel, and I have since purchased 9 more cameras as I needed or saw them on sale. Hope this helps out.
Item arrived in proper packaging and was even a newer model than the one I was replacing. The newer model included a power switch.
