So I am actually a little split on how to review this item... On the one hand, I love the color and feel that it is a pretty and shimmery/metallic light pink with cool undertones that is relatively subtle and not overdone. That is probably what I liked best about this Creme eyeshadow for which the shade 'Cherry Blossom's has been my first time trying and using this product. The eyeshadow come in a cute little clear container with a black cap that has this little 'secret compartment' sort of thing, with a small applicator brush that you can pull out from the main container to unlock it, then twist the cap open, and use the brush provided, or whatever tool you would prefer to apply the eyeshadow with. I found the applicator brush to be *ok* I suppose, but honestly so ... MoreSo I am actually a little split on how to review this item... I found the applicator brush to be *ok* I suppose, but honestly so so. It applies more smoothly to my kids with either my finger or a different eyeshadow applicator brush I already had prior to receiving this item. The part that was most disappointing to me about the performance of this eyeshadow was that it seemed to 'crumb up' on the brush and on my eyelid at first when applying the shadow. Beyond that, I did not feel that it was particularly long lasting without a eyeshadow primer underneath, although when I used it applied more smoothly and was much longer lasting. I was tempted to give it three stars due to the problems I experienced, but I have it four as the benefit of the doubt, because I ordered it from Amazon and it is somewhat possible that Amazon/the seller sent me a thing of eyeshadow that was just not in particularly good condition. Perhaps if I had purchased it in person at a store, there would have been less if the problems I described, although I am far from sure whether that is the case or not. I would honestly say it was a so so item, due to the seeming defect of the eyeshadow 'crumbing up' during application, as well as that it was really not very long lasting at all, in fact I found that it sunk right into my eyelids probably 1-2 hrs of application and showed less, unless I used my eyeshadow primer underneath. I wish I could rate it 3.5 stars (they do not allow for half star ratings on here) because that is what I would prefer to rate it as. In the picture attached, I am wearing the eyeshadow without a primer underneath, freshly applied before I took the picture. A little disappointed in the product on the whole I would say, unfortunately. I really did want to like it as the color was so pretty, which is why I ordered it in the first place!!... Show more

These remind me so much of MAC Paint Pots in consistency and application. They are quite dense in the jar and apply in fairly thin layers. Whether or not they can be built up depends on the shade. In my opinion, their strongest shades are the matte ones (of which there are only two!). The matte shades blend well and settle to an almost powder finish. Chocolate is versatile and beautiful for building depth in the crease. As for the shimmer and glitter shades... Awful. They apply patchily and don't build well. That leaves an uneven finish and shimmer particles will not stay put and will end up all over the place. They're just a mess... Show more

Very pretty colors! True to the product image shown. The one on the left is Caramel and the one on the right is Honey. Cute little applicator tucked into the lid. No need for an extra brush if you want to carry it in your purse. I use an eyeshadow primer and the color absolutely doesn’t come off until you remove it!Very pretty colors! I have tried a few of the Revlon creme shadows but today I am reviewing the vanilla shade. I have fair-ish skin and my intent was to use this as a base. Unfortunately I was not a fan of this, as an eyeshadow on it's own or a base. The consistency is thick and It does help with creasing but after a few hours the shadow became weird and blotchy. I used a few different brands and color of shadow but I got the same result with each go. Maybe it was a chemistry reaction or perhaps I had a pot from a bad batch. I don't think it is worth it to investigate further into that, I'll stick with benefit. It's a shame because Revlon products are much more accessible and lighter on the wallet.... Show more

I have always loved the Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow and have almost all of them. When Revlon came out with cream Eyeshadow... I also love the little brush that is hidden in the bottom of the Revlon containers that helps me put the Eyeshadow and blend it exactly where I want it much more precise than with my finger. They glide on your eye so creamy but they don't crease or wear off throughout day. I don't even need to apply a primer when I wear these. Best of all... I can do a whole eye look with cream shadows(lid, creas, outer corner). eand they still look blended like my powder ones. Maybelline ones I can usually only do on my life and have to use powder to define my case, etc, because their consistency does not allow them to play well together. I recently discovered the Bold collection of Revlons shadows and I am in love with both Honey and Stardust. In the pics below, I have stardust in my lid, Honey in my crease and Maybellines Bad to the Bronze on outer corners. I also used all 3 shades as the Eyeliner on my bottom lash line. I love the look, how quickly I am able to apply it on days when I want simplistic or am in a hurry and these pics were taken 7 1/2 hours after applying. I say the product speaks for itself. I will Def be purchasing many more shades... Show more

Bust cream eyeshadow ever
I have used this creme eyeshadow for years and have emptied the jar many times. I adore the shades espresso and chocolate they blend like a dream, smoke nicely and never crease which is magic as everything else creases on me within moments of application. The only thing I would chance is that some of the shades are hard to find, I wish iI could find Cognac as well as others. I would love to see more colors after all these years,.I have nightmares of this product being discontinued. Please never ever do this!... Show more

Could not get this open
I bought this at my local drug store. I’m sorry but I think the company needs to work on packaging. It took me 30 minutes to get the container open. I tried everything and finally had to take a knife, break the packaging, just to get it open and almost sliced my fingers in the process. I would suggest creating a package that is easier to open otherwise it takes away from the product itself. It doesn’t matter how great the product is if people are frustrated just by trying to open the package. I almost ended up throwing it out because it was so frustrating to open. I’m not sure you want buyers to have that impression before even trying the product.... Show more

Horrible container design
Whike this product itself ... the color and the texture and the ability to put it on ... Is wonderful, the package design is horrible. First of all, the printing on the black portion makes it appear that's the bottom of the container. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to open it with that as the bottom, only to find out the clear glass is the bottom. But the clear glass container is too narrow ... top to bottom... to be able to get a grip on it. I'm 78 years old and still use eye makeup everyday and have never had a problem opening a product. I had to take this to my 49-year-old daughter and ask her to open it for me. Even jar grips didn't work. And she had a hard time at her young age!!! Redesign this productc container before I'll buy it again.... Show more

Perfect for the lazy girl
After dabbling with Maybelline's popular Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows for a few years, I was slightly amused that Revlon released their Colorstay Creme Eyeshadows so many years later! Clearly inspired by Maybelline's Color Tattoos, Revlon released their own rendition, which I was keen to try. Upon a sale that Priceline had, I managed to pick a couple up for only $4.95 a pop.The shades I bought were Praline (730) and Caramel (710). The Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadows are housed in a glass pot, not unlike that of Maybelline's Color Tattoos- with the addition of a small tiny brush tucked away in the lid. One qualm I had was that the name of the actual shade was not printed on the actual eyeshadow itself- it was only on the plastic wrapper which is obviously thrown ... One qualm I had was that the name of the actual shade was not printed on the actual eyeshadow itself- it was only on the plastic wrapper which is obviously thrown away once removed. The eyeshadow itself is very creamy, and applied more smoothly than Maybelline's counterpart. The two shades I bought were beautiful- a swipe with my finger provides a sheer wash of colour, however can be buildable with further application. I was surprised at how buttery the texture was, and I loved it so much better than my Maybelline Color Tattoos! The wear is fantastic, it lasts all day and looks just as good at the end of the day. I haven't used the small brush that comes with the product as I like applying it with my fingers- I find it easy to blend this way. What I love about the Colorstay Creme eyeshadows is that they are so easy and quick to use, it only takes me 30 seconds to apply in the morning! After having the Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadows, I have found that they don't harden and become difficult to applyover time like the Maybelline Color Tattoos - a huge plus! I love the colour selection, and find that the two shades I purchased are easy to wear and complement those with a fair to medium skintone. Unfortunately the Praline and Caramel shades may be a little too sheer and light for those of darker complexion.Absolutely recommend trying these eyeshadows out, especially when there is a sale!...
