Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte Lipstick - Icon Era

Overall this is a very light weight liquid lipstick. It’s not heavy or overly drying. It’s slightly transfer proof. The applicator is a standout in this product!! Packaging: The packing is okay - plastic tube, not overly great quality. However the applicator is amazing. It has a pointed edge so you can easily line your lips and apply the lipstick seamlessly. One area for improvement is that when you are taking out the wand from the tube, it’s easy to get product all over the edge (you can see in photo). The stopper should be stronger so there isn’t so much product coming out. It’s a very pigmented product so there’s really no need for so much product on the applicator. It’s also very matte which is nice but does feel slightly drying (but nothing more than expected for this product category.) Color: there are a lot of shades, I received 009 hot take which is a red color. The color itself is very pretty but not a personal favorite red. It’s on the warmer orangey side (see photo) so really depends on the shade you’re looking for! But wouldn’t say there’s anything special about this color

The shade I received for review was ‘Dream Job’. And it’s very pretty. A little bit on the darker side. Which is hard to tell when it’s liquid but as soon as it dries it’s a little darker. It also dries very quickly. The liquid is very creamy and silky then dries to a matte and feels like a matte. To me it kinda feels like I have dry lips when it gets to the matte stage but I understand that’s how it’s supposed to be so it lasts for long periods, but I don’t like the way it feels. It does stay put for a very long time but if you are eating or drinking after a while it starts to wear off in the center of the lips, so you may need to reapply in that area. Beautiful MLBB

I got the Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte Lipstick in shade 002 Poster Child. I typically prefer and wear bullet lipsticks as I find them much less drying than traditional matte liquid lipsticks. I was able to eat and drink and it stayed put pretty well, I didn’t notice any transfer. It was easy to remove with oil cleanser at the end of the day and didn’t stain. The second wear was the next day, but I don’t recommend wearing it two days in a row if you typically have dry lips. It flaked a lot quicker and looked a lot drier on day 2, so I took it off after around 4 hours.The third wear I paired it with a clear gloss, and it was great! It was a lot more comfortable and lasted really well. This will be my preferred way to wear it from now on unless I really want a matte look. Fourth wear was the same as the first.I recommend it over all, it looks really nice as long as I don’t wear it consecutive days. The colour is perfect for me and I appreciate just how long wearing it can be. If you like matte liquid lipsticks this is definitely a good one to go for!

Great colour, not so good finish

I recently tried the Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte.The packaging is neat and match the colour from the lipstick. I quite like the squarish look; it’s bold and innovative.I gotta admit, the thing I loved the most about this product was the applicator. At first, it looks weird, twisted, but once applying the product, it goes perfectly with the curves of your lips, easy to apply. I barely feel the applicator and didn’t have to adjust the angle to reach inner or outter areas.The smell is nice, not too fragrant nor chemical.When I first saw the colour, I wasn’t convinced it would suit my skin tone (I got olive skin) but it turns out it did very well.It is vibrant but subtle and elegant. I absolutely loved the look of my lips with this lipstick.The colour remains quite the same but, unfortunately, after a few minutes (maybe half an hour), it dries out very badly; my lips look kind of chapped or flaky and they feel very unpleasant, as if I had worn the lipstick all day without retouching it.I tried reapplying the product, but it doesn’t work, the look gets worse. Then, I tried removing it to apply new product, but it is not easy to remove; which I guess is an excellent property if the colour and finish would to remain intact for longer. But for having to reapply the product, it is inconvenient.Event at night, when removing lipstick with make-up removal, it takes a bit of time. I had to tried harder, feeling a bit tough in my lips.It got to my teeth in various occasions and, again, getting rid of it, it is not an easy task. Using my tongue didn’t work, no matter how hard I tried, nor my lips. I had to remove it with some paper or a towel.One thing that worked, somehow, was reapplying the product at shorter intervals. It might not be desirable, but it is a possible solution.I would possible but it again because I like the colour, how it matches my skin tone and the applicator, but I wouldn't recommend it as I don’t think people would like the finish of the lipstick.

Great lippy

I want to start by saying I love liquid lipsticks . So this lipstick was well and truly in my comfort zone. The shade was not something I would really wear, it's was a bright red, I guess great for the festive season, however not my style at all but I wanted to try it out and see how the product itself would hold up. Great liquid lipstick!

Ok, so this is a good matte lipstick. I didn't really like the colour of the lipstick sent to me, but besides that, this is a great product. It is a super lightweight liquid lipstick, and isn't super moussey. This means it feels like basically nothing on the lips and isn't drying or powdery like most matte liquid lipsticks. I was really quite impressed with this especially as it felt very comfortable. It does take a few minutes to completely dry down, but once it does, it is not going to budge or bleed. You'll definitely need to remove this with some good micellar water, eye and lip remover or an oil/balm cleanser. Although the colour I received as part of the Beauty Crew Reviews (003 Upper Hand) was a little darker then what I would usually look for in a neutral I still really liked the Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte Lipstick formula and would purchase in a more "me" shade.It took a little bit to get the application perfect. I recommend you really prep your lips before as the matte effect of the lipstick can cling to dry skin and appear flakey. But with the right prep and a steady hand the lipstick goes on really smooth & creamy and dries super matte. I hate reapplying lipstick during the day and even more at events and the Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte Lipstick lives up to its name - the colour stays!I applied it once in the morning and after the first day, had the confidence to know I wouldn’t have to reapply it. For me, it even lasts through the morning coffee and lunch.There is no reapplying, no colour transfer, bleeding or fading - it is gorgeous to use. Unique liquid matte

Normally I am not a fan of Matte lipsticks as struggle to apply them evenly and they tend to dry my lips and brittle. I can feel a layer of lipstick on my lips which is uncomfortable. But this Revlon ColorStay Limitless Matte lipstick have perfect texture and even application. I can barely feel it on my lips and guess what, it does not dry my lips which is a pro. It doesn't stick to anything and the pigment stays for a long time. I would definitely buy it again but in different shade as bold shades like red suits my skin tone better.
