Revlon ColorStay Skin Awaken 5-in-1 Concealer - 030 Light Medium

I have to say that I don’t own a lot of Revlon products. When it comes to drugstore products my favorites are Loreal and Maybelline. However, this Skin Awake concealer with Caffeine + Vitamin C caught my eye. I love when companies add skin care ingredients to their cosmetics like this one. I was definitely impressed at the shade range for a drug store product, 19 shades to pick one and I got the color vanilla. It’s a 5 in 1 concealer, it erases any darkness under the eyes, brightens, hydrates and refreshes the skin. It has a sponge tip applicator that’s antibacterial on the concealer already so it’s super easy to apply. It’s light weight but has amazing coverage and is moisturizing. Also Transfer-resistant, and 24 hour wear. Great product well worth the price

I have this concealer in the shade “Universal Brightener”. The formula is creamy and hydrating, making it a great concealer for those with dry under eyes. The “Universal Brightener” shade is pink. It colour corrects the blue hues and darkness under your eyes, canceling out dark circles easily. This product is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I have very fair skin, so this corrector shade does not brighten my under eyes effectively. To add more coverage and to brighten my under eyes, I apply my concealer over this product. When I use this colour corrector, I require much less concealer to get great coverage. When I use less concealer, my under eyes do not appear cakey and the concealer does not crease. Great Drugstore Concealor

I use the applicator to dab the concealer on my eye area, and blend in with my fingers for a natural finish. I love how creamy and soft the concealer feels and that it didn't feel dry at all while working it in. I went for a super natural finish as I wore this concealer with a bare face, and you can barely tell I had any product on my eye area. The concealer managed to look so natural while brightening my eye area.I wore this concealer alone for a full day, on one eye with no primer or any powder to 'set the concealer', and on the other eye no primer but set with a loose powder. I have a dry eye area, and this concealer did a good job at concealing my discoluration without causing any further dryness or settling into any creases.I will be taking 1 star off unfortunately because of the applicator, it gets a bit messy when putting it back into it's lid. Considering it's just to apply the product, Revlon could of gone with a better choice.

Lightweight buildable coverage

I was pleasantly surprised by this concealer. The shade I picked and trialled was 001 which was an unexpected perfect shade match for my medium-to-light skin tone. I liked that the coverage was medium but buildable. The formulation was also light and creamy but did not cake initially or after a few hours of wear, the latter being something I struggled with with a lot of concealers. I think the coverage is natural looking enough for me to use this concealer on its own on days I prefer not to have full coverage and only spot some areas of concern. I love how light the tube is and fits right in my handbag, making it a perfect portable accessory to have for touch-ups. I also felt my skin tingled a bit when I put this on but hard to attribute this product to that effect. I otherwise did not experience any obvious brightening of my skin but this is a pretty decent concealer that I would recommend as something to tote in one's handbag.

Neat product but disappointed

Revlon Colorstay foundation is my holy grail and I was so excited to see they had a new concealer! Their previous concealer didn't work well for me so I was expecting great things!I loved the packaging and the sponge applicator, I really was impressed with how compact it was but how much product it came with. I got the universal brightening shade and I was really hoping it would be better than or as good as a competitors product that I've used for years and everyone raves about.Whilst this product wasn't awful, the consistency of the product was great, and the colour was good, I just felt it didn't give me enough coverage for my under eyes. I would have to apply this, and follow up with a full coverage concealer. It comes in a tube with a questionable "anti-microbial sponge" tip applicator, which makes it difficult to gauge how much product you're squeezing out each time. Whenever you put the cap back on, a guaranteed transfer of product that smears all over the rim and inside the cap occurs. Very unhygenic and annoying to clean!

New favourite!

I have really enjoyed using this concealer! It is almost everything I want in a concealer, lightweight and flexible; so it doesn't settle into any creases in my lower lash-line, a decent colour match, the level of coverage I like, a natural finish, and it's fragrance free. The finish is really beautiful, very natural, not too glossy or dry looking. I do not use powder to set my face or under my eyes at all, and this concealer still did not crease and stayed all day, which is very impressive! If you love full coverage concealers, this is not the product for you- I would describe it as being a sheer to medium coverage, which is actually how I like my concealers. I dislike this type of applicator, it seems to absorb a lot of the product and doesn't seem terribly hygienic, as well as feeling quite large and clumsy around my eyes. Overall though, I think I have found my new favourite concealer, and will be re-purchasing.

Solid concealer choice

The Revlon ColorStay 24H Skin Awake Concealer is quite a good concealer. Over the years I’ve decided to no longer wear foundation and instead just use concealer for my heavy dark circles and blemishes. I got lucky as the shade 040 Medium that was sent by Beauty Crew was a perfect match. I used the concealer with a light dusting of powder on top; it is long-wearing and doesn't seem to get too cakey over time. When applied the consistency isn’t very thick, but it does give a good amount of pigmentation. Without using colour correctors it covered my dark circles and blemishes well. Which is great as my dark circles are hereditary and awful. This product is easily buildable. When it comes to concealers I look for products that are hydrating and long-wearing. The 5-in-1 claim refers to “erase, highlight, brighten, hydrate, and refresh”. Erase, highlight, and brighten seem to be more of a marketing ploy as - generally speaking - that’s what concealers do nowadays anyway. I didn’t find the concealer particularly hydrating either. It did work well as a touch up aka “refresh”; I don’t tend to touch up my face during the day, but gave it a go just to see how the product would fair. The product worked well over the powder and the initial concealer that I applied several hours before.The retail price of $26.95 is a little steep for me, though I always buy brands like Revlon on sale. Overall the price is comparable to similar products from competing brands. However, there are other concealers that are cheaper and that I love more, such as Colourpop’s concealer range that goes for USD$7 which is approximately AUD$10.I have used concealers that I prefer over this one, but I wouldn’t be opposed to repurchasing if it was at a great sale price and my other go-to concealers weren’t. I’d recommend this product.
